Hot Pot
Gender: Female
Species: Earth Pony
Mane: Yellow
Tail: Red (She dyed it in order to get a ketchup/mustard look)
Eyes: Brown, with a red-ish tint whenever she's in an intense mood. (Really happy, really angry, etc.)
Body: Black
Cutie Mark: A flaming saucepan
Age (Baby, adult): Young adult, in her early 20's if she was a human.
Personality: Hot Pot is quite the stubborn pony, something that comes in handy when living in Manehattan. She's eager to please, and passionate about her work. As seen in the rp sample, she finds it hard to ignore someone in need, and gives food to beggars and others that need it after work is done. It may not change the world, but at least it helps a little.
Likes: Cooking (duh), spices (again, duh. The spicier, the better!) and foals. The Prancin'Pepper's got a pretty advanced foal menu, and is currently planning to make a playroom in the near future. She also likes visiting her relatives in Ponyville, finding the town to be a fresh change from the tight Manehattan air.
Dislikes: Crime (actually, who doesn't?). She also dislikes anything to girly and clean, preferring her greasy kitchen. Due to a foalhood incident involving sugary treats and a wasp nest, she's also highly afraid of wasps and hornets. She's strangely okay with bees and bumblebees, though.
History: While not born directly in the slums, Hot Pot's family has never been among the richest. Ever since she started making her own school lunch, Hot Pot felt a love for cooking, and as she grew an affinity for spices, she got her cutie mark. Her career started early on, as she begged the owner of a bit-time fast food joint, Sloppy Joe to take her on as an apprentice in Middle School. While Sloppy Joe was reluctant at first, he recognised the filly's talents, promising to take her on if she promised to become a successful cook, and to join his quest of proving that fast food also could be high-quality cuisine. With her mentor helping her on the way, Hot Pot donated her college funds to her little sister (and future little brother), giving them a better chance of getting a decent education.
Rp sample #1:
"Stupid overprized onions..." The young fast food joint owner known as Hot Pot muttered to herself, her bag full of fresh ingredients for a new day at work. 3 bits per onion was outrageous, even for ones as big and fresh as these. Oh well, at least she knew that her customers would be satisfied when they tasted high quality cuisine, or, at least as high quality as fast food could get. She was about to open the back door to the Prancin'Pepper, when a loud sob broke through the variety of sounds from the city that never slept. With Manehattan's reputation for crime, the young mare instantly feared the worst. More sensible ponies would have called for the law enforcements and stood clear of any possible danger, but the sudden crying had awakened her less-than-sensible helping instinct, causing her to gallop over. Luckily, the only thing she found was the source of the crying, a small, but healthy looking colt.
"Hey, li'l guy." Hot Pot greeted the foal, her face softening along with her voice. Foals always had a special place in the mare's heart, being the big sister to two foals, the youngest one being just a little older than this one. "What's wrong? It's okay, you can trust me." Sniffing, the colt (probably a kindergartener, maybe a first grader) looked up at her through teary eyes. "M-my mama-where's my MAMA?!" The last word was mixed with yet another loud sob. "Shh, it's gonna be alright. I'll help you find your mama, okay?" "B-but mama told me not to go with stran-"And she's absolutely right. She sounds like a good mare. But I promise I'm a good pony." "P-promise?" Hot Pot smiled. She knew just the right promise to cheer him up. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my-AUGHUBLEUGH!" She tried to make the shout of pain sound as goofy as possible as her hoof connected with her eye, hoping it would lighten things up. Judging from the small chuckle escaping the colt's muzzle, it worked. "See, the only thing bad about me is my eye, and that's 'cause I tried sticking a cupcake in it! C'mon, I'll take you to the Prancin'Pepper." she smiled as she started to walk, nodding at him to follow her. "You can wait for your mama there, and get something to eat, if you're hungry." The colt was about to reply, when his stomach did for him, causing Hot Pot to let out a relaxing giggle. "I'll take that as a 'yes, I'd like a large Foal's Lunch, please!'"
