Another long day.

Just like every day, it was a long day in Manehattan for the stallion who was trotting down one side of the streets quickly yet quietly. His younger brother would probably be out and about somewhere with the filly he had taken in from the streets, either that or they were at home in their small little house. That building wasn't in the greatest condition, it was located in the Slums of Manehattan after all, but it worked for the three and they were able to make it.

The dull blue Pegasus that was walking down the road and headed to the market place was more commonly known as Electrifying Philosophy but since that was a mouthful, most just called him by his initials E.P. His elder brother was Lithium War who lived in Appleloosa and was nicknamed Luthy, but the stallion on the market place had an awful grudge on his elder brother for not telling them why he left. He just did, no reason told to them whatsoever.

His younger brother was Shocking Electricity, he was more stubborn then any of them but they didn't mind. He went by his initials S.E and lived with both E.P and the filly they took in. That filly was one that lost her mother and was homeless, but Electrifying Philosophy took her in even if S.E didn't exactly like her. The reasons were unknown but mostly lingered in the facts that E.P would have to work more to support another pony, there was another mouth to feed and another pony in their living quarters.

The dull blue stallion with the green and yellow mane and tail was currently shopping for things like food and maybe a new toy for Lava Wave, thew filly they took it but that was about it. It was just another long day like usual.

Another day, another dollar, thought a certain timid stallion that was finishing up his shift at Manehatton National library. Juncoph. Or atleast, that's the stallion's name. Brown hair and fur, there's not much to look at on him... But conversations...

Juncoph was just about finished, and he headed out the door to see a blue pegasus quietly walking down the sidewalk. But... He was moving faster than you'd normally when walking.. and he wasn't just jogging either.

The stallion shortly walked over to a market place stall, he was aware that others had noticed him but he was unaware that someone had focused on him. That someone was a stallion who had just got off of a shift at the National Library. But it was clear that E.P hadn't noticed him like Joncoph had noticed him, which was pretty usual. E.P never really noticed anyone and mostly just noticed the ones he planned to interact with.

At the market place stall, he bought a few items, mostly food items but here and there were a few things that weren't edible. However, everything he bought would get them through the next two weeks or so since they didn't rely on much except enough food to keep them living, a roof over their heads and Electrifying Philosophy. They had neither of those things if Electrifying Philosophy couldn't work to provide for them and that was something E.P was entirely aware of. When Shocking Electricity was old enough, he could work too and help bring in a little bit more money. Maybe once he had his brother's help they could move up to a better living situation like the regular houses and maybe if they worked hard enough, the wealthy district of Manehattan.

"What an odd stallion... Oh well. it's certainly none of my business, I geuss I'll be on my way..." Thought Juncoph, now walking - cooincidentally in the same direction as the dull-blue stallion - back home.

"Hmmm... That stallion certainly was peculiar for somepony who lives in manehatton... Who am I kidding? The way he was walking... He was just walking quickly, probably to save time... Gah! It's none of my business."

At this point, Juncoph was standing on the sidewalk, not moving at all, and most of all, lost in thought... Again.

Well mostly this stallion just kept walking towards his living quarters until he bumped into Juncoph by accident and barely managed to keep his bearings on the items he bought. It took every bit of focus and concentration for the items not to scatter everywhere. Finally though, when he was finally balanced and stable, his dark blue eyes glared at the other stallion. "Don't you know that you can't just stand in the middle of a road?" E.P snapped rather viciously. He wasn't use to ponies just standing around, staring or conversing. Most ponies in Manehattan were busy, they knew where to go and what to do on what specific time not including those that were homeless.

The surprise of the bump and yelling instantly knocked Juncoph right out of his thoughts, and also made him yelp quite embarrasingly...

"Eeh! Uh, S-sorry, I get lost in thought sometimes..." said Juncoph, as his ears lowered and he started cowering backwards slowly.

Electrifying Philosophy scoffed as he watched the other stallion apologize, lower his ears and began to walk backwards. "Doing that will probably only make you bump into others." He stated with a not-so-bright tone, but it was a good piece of advice if you looked at it from a different state of mind. "So who are you?" He asked curiously, if the conversation dragged on then they could easily take the conversation to E.P's small little house. Plus, it would be good for Lava Wave to meet another pony since she didn't talk to others that much and was quite clinging to both him and his brother.

The slight change of tone was definetally non-threatening, and Juncoph stopped quivering.. The questionioning of his name made him perk up a bit, too.

"I'm Juncoph... Who are you?" Said Juncoph in response, noticing how he was pondering about something... "Um, what are you thinking ab-" Juncoph stopped himself, not wanting to blurt out anything rude.

Well at least he stopped quivering, to the stallion that was behavior meant for a terrified colt or filly, but he wasn't going to say anything and he wasn't going to judge anyone. It was just his opinion entirely. "I'm Electrifying Philosophy, but everyone calls me by my initials E.P" He introduced himself properly and listened to the next question before it was cut off. "The usual." He answered before he began to start trotting off in the same direction he was headed before. "Why don't you come home with me? It's been a while since we had visitors." E.P offered politely, he wasn't happy about being in the conversation in the first place but the company would be good for Lava Wave and his brother, possibly even himself.

Juncoph thought about the offer for a moment, considering how he didn't really have much to do versus the fact that this is a random pony on the street...

"Alright... Um, thanks for the offer, too." said Juncoph, surprised by the change of attitude of the other stallion.

"Sure, I'll come over."

With a small nod, the stallion kept walking towards his house quietly.

Once there, a dull purple Pegasus with a mane and tail of the colors pink and orange bounded out and over towards Electrifying Philosophy and quietly began to trot next to him. "This is Lava Wave." The stallion introduced the filly before he headed inside and set down everything he bought on the table to be sorted for later. Afterwards, he hoped up onto a chair and say there. Lava Wave though, trotted off towards her room quietly and didn't do much more then that.

Juncoph followed, and noticed the filly who - according to E.P. was named Lava Wave - trotting with him. "Hello," Juncoph said, in a very calm manor to the filly.

As they went inside, Juncoph looked around and then commented: "This is a very nice home you have, atleast, in my opinion." said Juncoph.

"So uh..." said Juncoph, trying to open a gap in the silence.

As he spoke greeting, the filly lowered her head slightly as if she was intimidated by this stallion as she kept closer to E.P's side. One of the reasons she quickly went to her room to hide when she was inside.

At that comment, E.P turned his eyes to Juncoph at that statement. "It may be the slums but I try my best to keep everything in shape." He explained as he watched the stallion quietly. Then the same stallion tried to break the silence, something which E.P only blinked. "I guess we could talk about how things are going if you want. Pretty simple." E.P stated quite simply.

"Alright, I suppose..." said Juncoph, thinking about the consequences of being here, positive and negative, along with a certain book he was reading earlier: Serrated edge: Sunlight thief... Wait, why was he thinking about that right now?

Juncoph woke up from his brief trance and looked the tiniest bit embarrased. "Uh, sorry about that."
