Dislikes: Ponies who enter his 'personal bubble', cats, ponies who gloat without being able to back up their claims, hypocrites, loud music.
History: Rough Draft was born on a sunny summer day in Ponyville. His father was a rich bussinesspony who only ever thought about work and profit, while his mother was a philosopher and thinker. Both stressed very heavily on Rough's education, with his father wanting him to get a good job, while his mother thought that education would open his mind. He was given educational toys, and was tutored by his parents from a young age until he could go off to school. Since his parent's placed so much importance on work and education, he spent a lot of time studying and doing homework. Because of this, he could not spend a lot of time playing with other ponies. This made him slightly shy and socially awkward, not knowing how to deal with or interact with other ponies very well. It was in school where Rough Draft developed his first crush on another colt. Although he was afraid, he eventually confessed his feelings which got him nothing but mocking. This caused him to retreat even further into his studies and his writing. He got his cutie mark when he wrote a short story which described how he was feeling very eloquently. This made the situation at school better, with the other ponies now admiring his shiny new cutie mark. Rough Draft continued with his writing, eventually publishing several poems, short stories, and the best selling novel "The Queen's Cake." He still resides in Ponyville, letting the beauty of the town inspire him to more great stories.

Rough Draft sat at a small round table on the balcony of a local coffee shop. A large mug of the steaming brown drink sat on the table in front of him, the aroma pleasing to his nose. He breathed in deeply and smiled, the smell of the coffee making his mouth salivate. Across the table from him sat a dreamy mare, her big eyes staring longingly at Rough. "I can't believe you agreed to have coffee with me!" The mare exclaimed, bouncing with excitement, "I just love your writing so much. It really speaks to me." Rough Draft levitated the mug with his magic and took a sip. "Yes, it tends to do that to people. Writing is at its best when it comes from the heart, like mine does." He said. The mare continued to stare at him. "You know." said the mare, beginning to blush, "I have always admired your writing. I'm sure you remember me from school when we were foals." Rough Draft nodded, sipping from his mug. "Well, I have always loved you." the mare blurted out. Rough Draft almost choked on his coffee. He put the mug down and wiped his mouth "Well…um…I…" said Rough Draft, trying to formulate in his mind what he was going to say. "I'm…um…flattered…but I don't exactly swing that way." He said, his voice trailing off at the end. The mare looked dumbfounded, before running off sniffling. Rough Draft sighed, before pulling out a notepad and a pencil, thinking how this could make a good story.
