Tacha

Personality: Tacha is a very fun loving and carefree pony. She can be rather confusing at times, one moment sweet and shy and the next dark and intimidating. She’s got a bit of a tomboy side to her while still retaining that sweet girly side. She loves nothing more than spending the day with her friends going on crazy adventures. When she's with the ponies she loves most she can do anything and is not afraid to stand out. She is described by her friends as caring, crazy, and at times childish. Alternately when not with friends she is highly shy and very awkward. She finds her confidence and strength from her friends so when separated she tends to stick to the side lines and avoid the spot light. She won’t be the first one to start a conversation but like a lost puppy once you feed her kindness you’re stuck with her forever which, once she gets to know you and gets past her shyness of you, isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Likes: Reading and writing (really any form of schooling), doodling, music, and adventuring with friends or really just anything to do with her friends.

Dislikes: unwanted attention and bullies.

History: Tacha was born in Appaloosa but three days after her birth her family moved to the Crystal kingdom where her brother (a regular non-crystal Pegasus) was born. The two are very close and know everything there is to know about each other. Both are blank flanks, though everyone is pretty sure her brother’s mark will be in culinary. Being raised in the Crystal Kingdom Tacha learned to love crafts and became quite good with them, so good she began teaching the young children her skills, she even helped some to earn their cutie marks. She loved the happy feeling teaching the children brought to her but watching all the young colts and fillies earn theirs before her slightly bugged her, even her brother was close to discovering his. Completely lost about what her mark could be Tacha packed up and left her home in the crystal kingdom to find what she was truly meant to do with her life. Her first stop was to return to her place of birth back in Appaloosa.

Example RP segment # 3: Tacha was alone and cold. She had just left home three days ago and despite every pony’s warm wishes she could tell they had wanted her to stay. She would have too but they all had supported her so much and the only ones to beg her to stay were the foals she had grown so fond of. She knew they would miss her and only wanted the best for her but now with the night drawing closer all she really wanted was her friends and family. She tried to remain positive, after all it wasn’t like her to be this down in the dumps, but she was alone and missed every pony dearly. No she had to stay with the positives. She tried to think of anything to cheer her up. She was doing this to find her mark and then she could return home to her brother and all the little foals. Plus the night wouldn’t be so bad at least it wasn’t raining or anything. The moment she thought this the large looming clouds she failed to notice while talking to herself burst open and poured down onto her. Normally she loved the rain but she wasn’t in the best of moods at the moment and ran along the path wishing her brother was here to clear the clouds for her.

She hadn’t been running far when she noticed a large welcoming light up ahead. Excitedly she ran faster until the light became more and she could see a large tavern. with all the speed she had left she burst into the door only to regret it, the outburst she just made put the entire taverns eyes on her, all conversation had stopped and she had every pony’s full attention. Cold, wet, and nervous she did the only thing she could do, which was cower there in the door way. She could barely contain the tears that were welling in her eyes and hoped every pony took them to be the dripping rain that soaked her to the bone. After a few minutes, which seemed forever to her, the tavern grew bored of her and every pony went back to their previous conversations. Upset Tacha quickly but quietly hurried off to the nearest restroom. Once inside she cried away her confusion and pain.

She hadn’t taken long for fear of any pony walking in, and once she was calm enough to appear sociable she stepped out. She walked with her head lowered and avoided all eye contact until she reached an open table in the back of the tavern. She sat there staring at the table in silence when she heard footsteps near her; she had so hoped that the pony they belonged to was only trying to get to the door she had purposefully sat next to for an easy escape once the rain had stopped, but no luck. The pony stopped right at her table. She closed her eyes and waited for the pony to leave. She remained like this for several minutes and unsure if the pony had left yet she peeked out through her soaking mane. The pony was gone. She relaxed and exhaled a sigh of relief only to make eye contact with a unicorn about the same age sitting at her table. "Hi" the filly seemed really excited and friendly. Unsure of what to do Tacha returned the simple greeting. "uhh hiya." She immediately returned to looking down at the table. The pony seemed unaffected. "I’m holly what’s your name?" Tacha sneaked a better peek at Holly. She seemed really nice and genuinely interested in talking. "Tacha." Holly studied Tacha very carefully and then smiled. "Your mane got messed up by the rain pretty bad. you look hilarious" Tacha smiled quietly to herself remembering when she and her little foal friends would play in the rain back at the Crystal kingdom and how when they came back in the parents would fuss over how silly they all looked. Holly was unaffected by her silence. "you would think that with as much time as you spend in that bathroom your mane would look just a little better." Tacha laughed out loud at that, remembering how terrified she had been that she hadn’t even thought about what the rain had done to her mane. Holly's smile widened. "You know we could start a trend." Tacha, who was already beginning to like holly, looked up confused. "Yea. I bet we could get this whole tavern to go outside and get wet manes just as cool as yours." Tacha pushed her mane out of her face. "Do you really think we can?" Holly shrugged. "I don’t know but it would be worth a shot right?" tacha jumped out of her chair. All shyness forgotten. "let’s do it!"

The two ran outside into the still pouring rain. They jumped around in the mud puddles that were already well formed along the taverns dirt walk way. They laughed so hard and were having such a great time their mission was completely forgotten. They danced and galloped all through the mud. They had been out for hours when they finally noticed the rain had stopped. Tacha looked down at her muddied hooves and smiled. "i don’t think they're gunna let us back in there." Holly smiled. "Oh that’s nothing." She used her unicorn magic to create a large mud ball and tossed it at Tacha. Now she was completely covered in mud. With strong determination Tacha began forming her own giant mud ball, though being an earth pony with no magic it wasn’t as pretty as holly's it would still do. She scooped it up and tossed it at holly. Holly easily dodged but being in front of the door she left the couple just leaving the tavern very exposed and they were quickly covered in mud.

Tacha couldn’t help but laugh at them. She hadn’t meant to hit them but it was still funny either way. Of course the tavern owner had been very mad that his daughter and her boyfriend had been assaulted by mud and quickly and quite angrily chased them from the area, though Holly and Tacha were dying of laughter the entire time.

Holly was first to regain her composure. "I haven’t had that much fun in forever, but i hadn’t realized how late it had gotten. i got to go." Tacha was immediately worried. it was still dark and she was about to be alone again. "ok ill see ya later i guess?" Holly looked down. "uhh no i don’t live around here. i just stopped because of the rain." Tacha felt her heart sank, she still had no idea where she was headed and she definitely didn’t want to find that place alone. "That’s ok. i gotta head out too. bye." Tacha got to her feet and started walking the opposite direction, with her head down. Holly called back. "Hey if you’re ever in Appaloosa give me a call!" and she hurried on her way. Tacha stopped. She knew Appaloosa, not well but she knew it. It had been where she was born and if you’re ever to find who you are and what makes you special what better place than that of your birth. Tacha excitedly turned around and ran after Holly.
