Wonderful Wake Up

It had been wonderful week for Lunar. She had met the most wonderful Stallion she had ever met. Not only did he tolerate her crazy super-hyper-active antics, he found it adorable! She felt like she could really be her without having to worry about manners and such. while the thoughts about manners had sprung up now and again, she wasn't as worried about impressions.

She's been spending a lot of time with him lately as well. well, at his place anyway. sometimes staying the entire night. Her mom understood, thankfully. in fact, she seemed genuinely happy that Lunar was spending so much time with a stallion.

She had stayed the night as his place again. waking up next to him, Lunar jumps up, letting a whinny of delight escape. she couldn't remember much of the night before, since she was really tired, but she was happy that she was waking up next to him.

Thunder's eyes slowly opened after he heard a whinny echo through the room. He smiled as he saw Lunar lying in bed next to him. Thunder reached out with his big, strong arms and brought Lunar into a giant bear hug. "Good morning sweetie. How are you?" He asked.

After a while Thunder got up and out of the bed, his mane and tail a complete and total mess. "I had a fun night last night. I'm so glad you and grandpa get along well." He said, brushing out his mane.

Lunar hadn't noticed that Thunder had woken up until he brought her into a really tight hug. "Good Morning! I'm great because I just woke up next to this amazing stallion in this amazing mansion with the most amazing library!" She said practically bouncing to each word.

As Thunder got up, Lunar did as well, using her magic to fix her mane and tail. "How could I not get along with your grandpa?" She said tilting her had a little. "Besides, if one of my friends knew I got to meet Lord Steelwing, she'd have a heart attack!" She said, laughing.

Thunder finished grooming himself before tuning his attention back towards Lunar. "Oh really? And what friend would that be? A military historian?" He asked nuzzling her.

Thunder then reached into a bedside table and produced a small necklace. On the necklace was a small charm displaying Thunder's family crest. "Well Lunar, I'm all free today. What would you like to do?" He asked.

Nuzzling Thunder back, She smiles at him. "No, She's a member of the guard. which is surprising since she's blind! but that just tells for how good her hearing is, in my opinion!" She said giggling in her usual way. Bouncing to Thunder's side, she looks up to him.

"That's a very good question. There isn't anything I had thought about doing." She said as she sat, tapping her chin with her hoof.

Thunder's eras perked up when he heard this. "Oh really? Would this blind guard friend of yours be named Blind Side by any chance?" He asked, remembering a meeting with a blind guard just the other day. It would be quite the coincidence if the pony was friends with his marefriend.

"Well, it is a beautiful day out today. We could go for a walk, or even a picnic." He said, "Or we could look through the treasure room." He said referring to the room in the house where all the antiques and family heirlooms were kept.

Lunar grinned very wide at Thunder getting her friend's name right. "Yup! That's her!" She said, bouncing. Then, a thought struck her. stopping where she was, she tilts her head. "Wait, how do you know her?" Blinking, she goes back to fixing her mane and tail with her magic. "She got lost again, didn't she? She's always getting lost! But I feel bad for her because of that, because she wasn't always blind!" She said, her usual grin returning.

Trotting over to the window, she looks around outside. "It is quite a good day!"

Thunder laughed. "Yes, she got lost again. Luckily I was there to help her." He said. "Besides, I work directly with the Guard. Odds are I have met a couple in my lifetime." He said, walking over to the window to stand next to Lunar. He draped a wing over her.

"Yes, I don't think we should waste such a beautiful day inside. Perhaps we should go to the park. I can have the chef make us a lunch, or I can whip up something myself." He said, smiling.

Lunar burst out laughing as he confirmed her suspicions. Lunar remembered tons of times where she bumped into Blind Side and ended up leading her across town. That mare has got to hire an assistant or something.

She was snapped out of her train of thought by Thunder draping his wing over her. Leaning against him, she smiles up at him. "A day at the park sounds great! " She said with a quiet giggle.

Thunder smiled. "Wonderful. I'll get prepared for a day out. Now, do you want a mediocre lunch made by me, or one made by our chefs?" He asked. Thunder then gave Lunar a tight squeeze and turned around.
"Well, lets see, maybe I should take something to do out there, or wear some clothes?" He pondered aloud, swishing his tail back and forth.

laughing, Lunar bounced toward Thunder. "Hahaha! You're cooking can't be that bad!" She said, grinning like a filly.

"Well, lets see, maybe I should take something to do out there, or wear some clothes?"

Her usual smile still spread across her face, she replied to Thunder's vocal thinking. "I don't plan on wearing any clothes. All of the clothes I have aren't very comfortable! I'm quite happy with just my coat of fur!" She said grinning.

Thunder smiled. "Well, I'm not thaaaat bad at cooking." Said Thunder, purposefully dragging out the a. "But, I think it would be better if we had a gourmet lunch made for us. Besides, only the best for my little love." Said Thunder, nuzzling Lunar's neck.

"Well, you don't need clothes Lunar. You are just pretty enough already." He said, feeling silly for being so mushy.

"Awww!" She said, giggling as she teleported over to him and hugging him. "You're so sweet!" grinning widely, she looks up at him. "If you insist that your cooks make the food, then that's fair enough." bouncing over to a cabinet, she looks through what little clothes she has here. it was mainly just a dress or two from past dates. "Darn. nothing fitting for today. Looks like I'm not wearing clothes!" She exclaims, laughing.

Thunder smiled. "I don't mind you without clothes. Brings out your natural beauty. " He said, planting a light kiss on Lunar's cheek. "Now, I will get the chefs to make us some lunch. Nothing too big. Maybe some sandwiches, salad, and some lemonade. Does that seem ok to you?" He asked, looking down at Lunar.

"That sounds great!" She said happily. Thinking for a second, she puts a hoof to her chin. "What do we do until those are done?" She said, tilting her head. What they did didn't much matter to Lunar. She just enjoyed being with Thunder.

Thunder smiled. "I'm not quite sure what we could do. We do have a giant library I'm pretty sure we could spend a few hours in. I mean, its not the most exciting thing, but it could pass the time."

Thunder hummed. He looked down at his relatively small marefriend. A thought creeped into his mind about what he would like to do, but he shook his head and chased the thought from his head. "Well, I would not mind just spending time with you." Said Thunder, pulling Lunar into a giant hug.

Lunar Hugged Thunder back as she thought up something to do. "Library it is, then!" She said with a huge smile.

---------later, when the food is done-------

Lunar Was lying down next to Thunder reading a book when they were told that the food was ready. "That was sooner than I thought!" She said, bouncing up to her hooves. "You ready to go honey?"

Thunder lazily got up ont his hooves. "Yup, I'm all ready to go." He said, stretching his wings out. Thunder then ben over and scooped up Lunar onto his back, holding her in place with his wings. "Well, lets get going."

Thunder walked down the hallways with Lunar on his back before arriving at the kitchen. There the chef had made for them a delicious lunch, already packed away in a basket for them. Thunder thanked the chef and grabbed the basket between his teeth. "Ready?" He asked.

Thunder smiled. "Sounds like a deal." He said, and happily trotted out the front door, nodding to the butler Pennyworth as he walked by. Thunder began to head towards the park, keeping Lunar in place with his wings. "You OK up there?"
