The carnival of friendship

Subject: The carnival of friendship Mon Jun 10, 2013 7:45 am

Sugar, and Ember finally reached Whitetail Woods where the carnival was. They looked around at all the different activities followed by their jaws dropping, this was more than a tiny celebration it seemed. "Wow this is big!, I don't even know where to start" Sugar said as she went to the nearest candy floss stall.

Ember spun in a little circle, her eyes widening at the sight of all the ponies everywhere and doing everything. It was amazing, to say the least. "Woah..." she breathed, before spotting Sugar walk away. Hurrying after her, her eyes lit up when she saw the cotton candy, and quickly bought a flower shaped one. "Well, wif dat taken cawe off, where do we gwo?" she asked awkwardly, her lips gummed together with sugar.

Sugar spots a burly stallion standing next to some sort of plate with a row of signs with various descriptions of how good you did, leading up to a bell on top "Test your strength!, show everypony just how strong you really are!" Sugar turned to Ember, with a wide grin "You should start" hinting that she should try the activity.

Ember grinned. "Sure!" she chirruped, bouncing up and picking up the hammer before giving it a big whack. The ball dinged and rose up almost to the top, only just hitting the bell. Almost everypony around them cheered, but she heard some party-poppers booing. Ignoring them, Ember trotted over to the prize stand, and picked a rabbit backpack as a prize. "Woo!" she grinned, flexing her arms and laughing. "I guess all those years of chopping wood did pay off."

"My turn" Sugar said as she bounced over to the plate, and picked up the hammer, turned to the audience with a sly grin. "Check this out" she hit the plate with the hammer, the ball slammed the bell with a crushing speed. "Feel the power of cotton candy!" she said as she joined Ember in a victorious pose.

Ember laughed, striking a fabulous pose with Sugar. "Haha, you and your insane super strength. Anyway, pick a prize so we can get going!" she said, gesturing to the prizes all lined up in a row. There was so much to be done and so much to be seen, ember couldn't wait to get started.

"I want the sunglasses!" Sugar happily announced as the pony handed her the stylish sunglasses, and Sugar gladly put them on, and posed. "How do I look?"

She then spotted something wonderful (or at least it was wonderful in her head). "Spinning tea cups!" She said as she took Ember's hoof and pulled her along.

Ember smiled and nodded in approval, waving her hoof daintily. "Gorjus darlink, absolutely gorjus!" she said with a thick accent, grinning all the while. Suddenly, Sugar began to drag her away to the spinning cups, and Ember smiled. Now she could empathize with Star. Pulling her hoof out of Sugar's grasp, she trotted along next to her as they reached the ride, and Ember paid her bits before hopping into the blue teacup. "THIS TEACUP'S MINE!" she declared, draping herself over the chairs.

Sugar jumped into the same teacup as Ember with a wide grin "Ready or not here we go!" and with that the teacups started spinning around like crazy, which caused most ponies on the other teacups to become unable to keep their breakfast inside of them. When the ride finally stopped, Sugar exited the teacups walking like a pony that had one too many, she tried to celebrate her victory by doing a back flip, but ended up just crashing to the ground head first. By the time she got up she had completely recovered from the teacup's evil side effects. "That was fun!" She said bouncing up and down. "So what's next!?"

Ember gasped when Sugar hopped in the teacup that she had so openly proclaimed as hers, and was about to tell her off when, suddenly, the ride started, casuing her to totally forget about the event. She whooped in glee as the teacups began to spin faster and faster, whirling her around as her ponytail flew in the breeze. When the ride ended, ember flopped out of the cup and staggered after Sugar, the world spinning a bit and her laughter the only thing she could hear for a bit. "Woah, that was cool." she grinned, before laughing when Sugar failed her backflip. Feeling a ton better, Ember bounced up and down on the spot before seeing the rollercoaster - The Big Dipper. She could easily tell at a glance why it was called that, and pointed it out to Sugar. "Omigosh, we should totally ride on that!"

"YES!" Sugar exclaimed bounced over to The Dipper, and paid the bits. "Yes!, we got front seat!" she said while tapping the cart with her hooves in excitement.

Ember grinned and bounced after Sugar, paying her fare and sliding into the first cart with Sugar. The massive hill of the ride that was right before the drop loomed before them, and Ember smiled in anticipation. After the correct amount of ponies had filed onto the carts, the safety bars locked down on them and the ride began, slowly clacking it's way up the incline before pausing at the very very very top. Ember held her breath. When nothing happened for a couple of seconds, she frowned, but the then cart plummeted to the Earth. "WOOOHOOOOO!!!!"

Sugar went "WOOOHOOO!!!" with Ember as the cart plummeted to the earth, the ride finally stopped, and Sugar stepped out of the cart somewhat disappointed. "Aw, that was a good ride, but way too short, it was only like thirty seconds" She said with her head down before her eyes sparkled. "Is that a photo booth?!" she said with a slight squee

Ember sighed, nodding as her shoulders slumped a little. "Sadly, yea. It would've been colour if it had been longer.... But then again, I guess that's the whole adrenaline thrill." she said with a smile, before looking at where Sugar was staring. "I do believe that is!" she said with a devious smirk, eyes glittering. "Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

Sugar puts on her sunglasses, turned to Ember. "Yup, let's do this!" She exclaimed as she bounced over to the photo booth, and happily paid the bits for both of them. Sugar made a silly face, she made herself cross eyed with a derpy expression.

Ember smiled when Sugar paid, touched by her new-found friend's generosity. Sproinging in after her, she jumped onto Sugar's back without any warning, latching her arms around Sugar's neck and winking while sticking her tongue out. The timer counted down, and their photo was taken with a *click*. Watching as the machine whirred, Ember waited for the decoration screen to pop up, and picked up one of the pens in her mouth.

Sugar was surprised by Ember when she jumped onto her back, but after the photo was taken she got a devilish grin. "Oh, so you want to ride the almighty Sugar eh?, well then let me show you what I can do, HOLD ON TIGHT!" She then took a deep breath, and managed to pull of a backflip with Ember on her back *pop*, though she did wobble a bit upon landing, "What do ya think?" she said with Ember still on her back as she started to walk over to a cider stall, but she then stopped, "Av!, what the hay?, oh....I think I may have broken something" She said with a slightly unamused tone as she looked at her left front leg which seemed a bit out of place. "Eeyup I definitely messed up my leg" She said while sticking her tongue out as if it was no big deal.

With a squeal of surprise, Ember clung on for dear life as the world spun around her, feeling her front hooves brush against the ground as Sugar flipped. When they landed back on four hooves, Ember rolled off of Sugar and landed on the ground with a *pomf* before getting up again. "Geez, that was terrifiying!" she exclaimed, flailing her hooves a little. Seeing Sugar walk off to the cider stall, she was about to follow before she saw Sugar suddenly stop. Crinkling her forehead in confusion, the apricot mare glanced at what Sugar was studying - her front left hoof. "Woah, what did you do? We've got to get you to the hospital!" she cried, lifting Sugar onto her back.

Sugar was first flattered that somepony would help her so quickly, then she remembered the dare, and her eyes grew wide ."NO!, I don't wanna go a whole week without sugary sweets!" She yelled in panic as she was being carried towards the carnival's exit. "And besides it does not hurt that badly, I can still finish all the rides!" She said begging for her Ember not to take her to the hospital (despite it being a good idea at the moment)

Ember bit her bottom lip with a sigh. "Well, I very well can't leave you here... How about a deal. You only have to go two days without sugar and I only have to dye my hair for two days." she said, smiling at Sugar. She really needed some help, and she didn't want some petty challenge to get in the way of her receiving it. "Come on. No more buts." she stated determinedly as she began to trot away.

"But I-I just...okay...I guess I can go without it for two days. but I don't want you to dye your hair as it's my fault you could not do the rest of the activities" She said realizing that there was no way around going to the hospital at this point. "I just hope I won't be crippled for long" She said thinking if it was broken it would be bad for business.

(Yep let's start a thread at the hospital XD)

"Aiya, who do you take me for? I'm not going to chicken out!" she said with a mischievous grin. She never backed down, and this situation as no exception. Trotting off down the path with Sugar on her back, she hummed a happy tune as they exited the park.
