| A few days ago, Flutters said something about wanting a Cow OC. It hasn't been done before, and I wanted to see if it could be able for approval. There's not much difference between them and ponies. Except they're a tad more like animals compared to ponies and don't have Cutie Marks. Then again, we have loads of Blank Flanks.
Let me hear your thoughts!

| YES. COW OCS. PLEASE. Mods, admins?
I mean, why not? It's canon that they talk, so why not let people make them? It's not like they have a mysterious past like the Changelings do.

| Although I see no problem with a cow OC, the same question stands with them. What is the point of it and what would you do with a cow OC that cannot already be done with one of the standard races?
Another thing as that from what I remember, cows generally live out in fields in herds and rarely interact with pony society. Not exactly the best for a roleplay.

| You know my opinions on this Brawny when you first talked to me about it.
As Amber has said, cows in the show have been genuinely shown to not be part of pony society, with a few exceptions. However, I don't see why there can't be cow, or even Buffaloes, OC's provided they have reasons to be that race.

| I agree with Fireseeker and Amber. While I see no problem with them being a part of the forum, I don't see a point to having them. as was said, they don't interact with society much. so, an RP with them probably wouldn't be very interesting.
If someone can find a reason for one other than "just because" I'd be willing to give it a shot. but the general rule around here is that "just because" isn't good enough a reason.

| What other point do you need than wanting to be a pioneer. (And no, this will not lead to me making an changeling OC, but if you allow it 8D) Don't want to sound rude by saying this, but the point of role playing is to be someone or something different, isn't it? New races would be good for a healthy mix, you know. And the problems that you mentioned, the one where they'll have a hard time interacting, that's for the role player to overcome. | |

| Hey, changeling OC's would be cool now that I think about it.

| Digital, while that's true, how long until the very few usable ideas are used and done? The fact of the matter is, there's not much that you could have for a cow OC that you couldn't do with any other race. And, most of the time, those things get uninteresting right off the bat. I don't see the point in adding an entire race that people would only use for a couple RPs.
For example, the batponies. as a unique idea as it was, only two of them exist on the forum since we decided to allow them and I've only seen one maybe two RPs for them. and Interest for them died off really quickly. and honestly, I doubt interest will spike again, because there are very few things that are truly unique about them. The same is true with Mules.
Honestly, the batponies are the only thing "Just because" I've said yes to, and interest for it dropped off the face of the earth after the first OC was approved. So, I don't see the point.

| I would argue with that, but I've been shaped by a completely different role playing experience and I realize that not all of my arguments are applicable here, so I'll just leave the decision to the ones in charge.
Though I will say that just because the majority isn't interested, doesn't mean that the minority should be kept limited because of it. I know how this sounds, but please don't take this the wrong way.
