5th OC: A. Seraph

Ambriel "Seraph" Principatus
(Nickname Angel by Snake Eyes)

Gender: Male
Species: Unicorn
Mane: curly blonde, always tangled
Tail: same as mane
Eyes: Sky blue, always framed by his circular bifocal spectacles (brown frames)
Body: slightly chubby (but far from fat) Stark white fur that is very well groomed. He wears a button down shirt with an royal blue argyle sweater vest, and a tweed coat with elbow pads.
Cutie Mark:  a blue flame surrounded by angelic wings.
Age (Baby,adult): adult (34)
Personality: Seraph is a firm believer and follower of rules and protocol. Although he is not above twisting the law and the rules of his order to his own needs, he doesn't like it one bit.

Always polite, Seraph never swears (unless something is VERY WRONG) and will chastise (in a very passive aggressive manner) anypony who doesn't follow simple ettiquete. He refers to ponies as "My Dear" or "Old Boy" (and variations there of) regardless of gender, particularly Snake Eyes.

in truth, he, underneath his belief in rules, he harbors a deep "Ends justify the means" philosophy. at the end of the day, He is willing to do anything for the greater good.

He can be a tad patronizing sometimes, can get flustered easily (a tad OCD)


He favors ponies over other races, and can be seen as slightly racist.

He doesn't like using his magic offensively, and is will not do so unless lives are in jeopardy.

Likes: Tea, Collecting antique books, Snake Eyes (Drinking with, disscussing with, going to bed with...), Polite ponies, anypony who knows when to stay out of his business, and Churches (of any religion, he just enjoys being in them), Symphonies. Referring to things as "Ineffable."

Dislikes: using the Sword of the Eastern Gate, fighting in general, impoliteness, Selfish ponies with a disregard for the safety of civilians, using magic to hurt other PONIES (he doesn't particularly care for other races.)

Being ordered to do things he rather wouldn't like to do.

History: The son of a Upper-Middle class family in Canterlot, ever since Seraph was little he was always seen as the "Nice young colt with the Bright Future."

In school he was the teacher's pet, and avoided by his classmates for his odd dress style and his quiet demeanor.

In magic class he showed an affinity for conjuring and controlling light and fire, where he attained his cutie mark.

On Graduation, he enrolled in a military academy, where he tried his hoof at the Guardspony's life. While experimenting, he discovered the his only personalized spell: The Sword of the Eastern Gate.

This spell manifests itself as a two handed (or hooved) Longsword made of blue flames. Other than being able to summon it at will (Which Seraph loathes to do), it is mostly just the same as any other sword, except it is permanently on fire.

After a run-in with a Discordian cult,(Where he met a certain Serpentine Mare) He attracted the notice of the Angeli Solis. "The Angels of the Sun" was a subsection of the Equestrian Guard, dedicated to upholding Harmony and safeguarding Equestrian safety through covert operations, information gathering, and managing internal affairs within the Guard.

Quickly showing his aptitude as an  "Angel" He was trusted with multiple assignments all over the world. Saddle Arabia, Appleloosa, The Griffin Kingdoms, even a couple exhibitions into the Everfree Forest.


After Discord's release and eventual defeat, he was given a long term undercover surveillance assignment in Ponyville, setting up a antique book shop on Rose Street to monitor the Discordian cult across the street.

Seraph welcomed the change, ans the cult is mostly harmless. He regularly visits Canterlot to make his report, and Manehattan to see a very good "Friend."

Seraph kicked the door of the abandoned apartment complex down and rushed in, accompanied by a pair of guards in their golden armor.


"Snake Eyes. You are under arrest for sabotage and tampering with Royal Property. Come out with your hooves on your head." He called. He motioned for the two guards to start to search.

His horn lit up, sending rays of light through the empty and decrepit rooms and illuminating the dust slowly floating through the air. The unicorn adjusted his glasses slightly and sighed. "Not here... She always has got to be one step ahead..."


Suddenly, a paper airplane floated down in front of the stallion. "A present?" He asked, slightly amused. He picked up the paper and unfolded it and read aloud.


"Dinner tonight? Love the argyle sweater vest. Of all the Angel's, your the prettiest."

In the corner there was a sloppy picture of a snake.
 
Seraph looked around, trying to find out where the criminal was hiding. Ever so often he would glance at the paper.


"Sir?" one of the guards commanded his attention. "There is nopony here. How would you like to proceed?"


Seraph nodded. "We will find nothing today, Take the day off..."


"Private Phalanx."


"Thank you, Mr. Phalanx, but you see..."


He glanced at the paper. "I have dinner plans."

Acceptance

Character has been discussed with mods/admins.

One question; what are the two personalized spells? One is "The Sword of the Eastern Gate" which summons a flaming sword (which is acceptable), but what is the other and what does it do?
This is necessary to know incase it is a spell that is deemed too powerful and unfair for an OC to have.

The mention of the second spell was a editing mistake on my part. I made the decision that the second spell was too OP and took it out, but didn't vet my app well enough.

Edited and fixed, the Sword of the Eastern Gate is his one specialty. No other.
