HyacinthGender: Female
Species: Earth Pony
Mane: Dark blue, noticeably shorter than most manes
Tail: Same color as her mane, moderately long, but curled at the end
Eyes: Blue
Body: Light Blue
Cutie Mark: A dark blue hyacinth flower
Age: Young Adult (18 years in human years, per say)
Personality: When first meeting others, she's very shy and sensitive, often not speaking too much. However, once she warms up to someone, she starts to show a more compassionate and sweet side. She's very loyal to her friends and never abandons them, even if she's terribly frightened. If one needs comfort or just a shoulder to cry on, Hyacinth is your pony for that. Due to her sensitivity, she's easily prone to tears, but can overcome that time to time, showing a brave side when she's pushed.
Likes: Flower gardens, peace, bright colors, children (aka babies, foals, fillies, colts), being with friends, animals
Dislikes: Abuse of any sort, being alone, dull colors, dead flowers, others being sad, violence, mean ponies
History: Hyacinth is a normal Earth Pony. As a filly, she was often in the background due to her shy and quiet nature. Most even forgot she existed. But she didn't mind it for a while, until loneliness kicked in. So she made an effort to find a friend. She got lucky, and befriended a young Pegsi colt, named Thunder Storm. They bonded rather quickly and soon, became inseparable. However, as they matured and became young adults, Thunder Storm left to become a Wonderbolt. Hyacinth let him go, despite the fact she had gained feelings toward him. But who was she to take his dream away? She does regret not telling him she loved him, but she feels he's a lot happier living his dream. She tried to make new friends, but her shy nature makes it hard. However, she does hope, some day, she'll gain many friends whom she can hang out with and never be lonely ever again.
Example RP segment: 1. A foal has lost its mother and is sobbing inconsolably in the street . Given your OC’s personality, compose a brief narrative in which your OC identifies and addresses the situation.Hyacinth is walking along, enjoying the sunshine. However, as she nears some stores, she hears the sound of someone crying. Worried someone was hurt or needed help, she runs over to investigate, despite a nagging feeling telling her to stop.
She finds a foal, alone and crying. Her maternal instincts kick in and she carefully approaches the foal, a look of concern on her face.
"Why are you crying, little one?"
"M-My mommy, she won't wake up, no matter what I do!"
Startled, Hyacinth spots the mother mare, a look of lifelessness on her. Fear forms inside the light blue mare, but also... sympathy. The foal was an orphan... She looks at the foal with sorrow.
"I-I'm so sorry, little one... She's never going to wake up. But... she's in a better place. She may not be here anymore... But she'll be with you in your heart. And she'll be watching over you, always."
The foal sniffs, looking at its mother then back at Hyacinth.
"R-Really..? She'll be with me, even if I can't see her?"
Hyacinth nods, softly smiling. "Yes. Come on, I'll.. ensure your mother is buried and put to rest properly, but first, I'll take you to a place where somepony else will want to adopt you. Would you like that?"
The foal nods and Hyacinth leads the foal to a local orphanage, knowing she was doing the right thing for the child. As she promised, she made sure the mother was buried in a graveyard so the foal could visit her grave. With a good feeling within her, she goes back to her home, satisfied she helped a child in need.
Wanting to start over, Hyacinth is my main pony so I hope she will be accepted. :)
