| "Well apology accepted. not so hard to do. now mind if I ask a question, what is a blu-buh- um, level headed? pony like you doing in a place like this?" the mare asked.
Cranium frowned as she asked the question. " That is none of your business!" he snapped, then sighed. He didn't want to cause any trouble, he may as well tell them.
" But... if you must know, I moved to this quaint village to research further in my scientific studies, as well as watch over a young relative," he said stiffly. In fact, he had often suspected the only reason his mother had sent Rusty to him was so she could throw her little parties and such, with her little son out of the way.

| "That's kind of you."
She looked up at Clockwork frowning in disapproval at her smug look. Not wanting to be part of what was no doubt going to be an awkward and rude conversation between the two she leaned up a little and kissed the taller mare on the cheek.
"I have to be going now, you two try not to make a scene here please."
She turned and headed back out the door.

| Switchblade casually wandered through the doors to sugarcube corner, he had a gap in requests and had decided to socialise, although he was still wearing his copper and black striped chestplate, he had replaced his helmet with a copper coloured top hat with copper gears on it, to show off a social piece of his work and advertise himself as a cogsmith. "I wonder if they have that nice chocolate cake still." he wondered, the memory of the taste made him hop from hoof to hoof (food did bring out his 'odd' side) | |

| "scientific. . . studies. . . are you, an astronomer? study stars cause you lack the smell of a chemist or alchemist or the earthy smell of some one who works with plants, and i should know those signs if you know me."
Gears began to guess just something to go on as Trapper was leaving, kissing trapper back before she left.
"oh and Traps; tell him i am free tonight so we can have dinner or movie night tonight."
She told the other are as she left, noticing a colt showing off some brass and copper armor come in and seemed to get jumpily and hopity as he went to get sweets most likely, leaving Gears in a triumphant grin.
"well seems like coming in here happy and hopping is normal, science colt. maybe i should have started the argument for you NOT hopping up and down for joy."
She seemed to state in a joking manner before laughing to herself, pulling out another cupcake from her bakers dozen to eat as she waited for his come back, keeping an eye on this new colt as she was interested in his armor.
"think hes a new guard or?"

| Switchblade stopped hopping around to get a old copper pocketwatch out and wind it up a few notches, he got to the front of the line and ordered his cake, when it arrived he walked over to a table in the corner and sat down, taking out a letter with a military seal on it, he looked at it's contents carefully "Tisk tisk corporal, can't keep your military matters in play without your friend eh?" He closed the letter and put it away, he started reading a much plainer letter "OK, three float engines and two clocks by next Wednesday I'm sure I'll be done by then" he closed the letter and looked around carefully, he saw a mare staring at him, he really didn't need somepony staring at him, he flicked his welding goggles up and asked "Something the matter ma'am?" | |

| (sorry for late reply!)
Cranium remained from strangling the mare, and instead grimaced after hearing her comment, then shot the stallion a murderous look from across the room, as if the rude and rather clever comment was his doing. I've had quite enough of this mare! I should put her in her place, the ignorant- The unicorn's thoughts were halted as he shook himself out of his precious daydream. The only result he would get from another fight would be humiliation. And there was nothing he hated more than humiliation.
"think hes a new guard or?" The mare asked curiously, eyeing the stallion wearing armor across the room. The grey pony frowned and rolled his eyes.
" No, he must be a clown, because whoever heard of a guard wearing armor," he muttered sarcastically then quickly gave the two mares a slightly frightened look. He hoped they didn't hear that comment.
" And for your information, I specialize in phy-"
"Something the matter ma'am?" the stallion asked, and Cranium jumped, surprised. Attempting to redeem his dignity, he adjusted his glasses and gave the pony a skeptical look, then gave another longing gaze towards the door.

| Trapper nodded smiling, she seemed more existed now about the upcoming date, though she wasn't hoppy like the two mechanical ponies, her smile dropped abruptly as soon as she heard the mutters of the unicorn and whipped around staring him down, she had JUST gotten the two of them to apologize to each other and he had to shoot his mouth off like that.
Seeing his slightly frightened expression she scowled saying loudly for every pony in the restaurant to hear.
"Most would think for a unicorn who considers himself SO much better then every pony else, so important he feels entitled enough to tell off a mare for showing excitement when it wasn't effecting him in ANY way , that he would have the manners or the intelligence to keep from running his mouth after there had been a formal apology from the offending party. It seems that I am sorely mistaken, you have a nice day now. Sir"
Sarcasm and anger dripped from the earth ponys mouth like venom. Not usually one to interact with ponies who did not catch her romantic attention for any reason other then business, this was perhaps the first time in her life she had called someone out for poor behavior, turning she whipped her pony tail over to the other shoulder dismissively in his direction. She left before he could get to much of a relation out, not caring what he had to say. She kicked the door closed behind her making sure to show her displeasure with him to the public.

| Clockwork just stared at Trapper as she seemed to snap, obviously catching what the other colt said. she was shocked as she never seen her snap before and as she left, she turned to see his reaction for being called out and blink, half tempted to laugh, but though he at least deserved some peace and got up and moved to the other colt, who noticed her. when she got there, she shook her head and smiled shyly.
"sorry, just I do not see many ponies wearing copper or brass armor, especially ornate with gears. may i ask who the smith was?"

| Switchblade smiled warmly at the mare "This armor is my handiwork ma'am, sorry for seeming rude, it's just, I've just left the military and I'm a bit nervous of others staring at me." he explained "By the way, you seem to have a lot of mechanical items as well" he took a glance at another letter, looked confused, then pulled a curved scimitar out of his sheath and studied it, "Definately mine" he said | |

| (Sorry if my oc's behaivor is offending anypony, I don't mean any of the things he does.)
Sir!" Cranium shrank slightly at her bold words, then straightened and opened his mouth to say something, but not a word escaped.
The mare slammed the door shut angrily, and the unicorn contininued to gape into space. This was extremely unexpected for the stallion. The only pony he knew to say anything like that was..... her. He blinked for a moment, then shook his head. I didn't do a single thing wrong, it's just this ridiculous babaric town. And I am not going to apologize again.
The other mare started to converse with the pony wearing all the armor. The unicorn watched curiously. He awkwardly stared at the celiling, now noticing that it was painted a rather obnoxious shade of pink.

| (oh dear luna, sorry the little side chat threw me off, i totally missed hobbits actual post and school got me too busy to check)
gears was examining the handiwork of the weapon and made a small, 'wow' noise a she admire the work.
"well i am impress with the smelt work, i can't smelt worth a bit, but i can craft anything i put my mind to like. . oh you might like this one."
She began to go through her bag and pulled out a soldier pony made of brass, wearing a suit of armor. she wound it up and it began to march, turning around and march, similar to a patrolling officer.
"Clockwork by the way, but friends call me Gears."

| Switchblade looked from the small model pacing back and forth, then to gears and back again, his sky blue eyes flicking between the two, suddenly he flicked the lens of his google over his left eye to hide the scar in case it worried anypony. He looked back at the model and sighed merrily "Amazing that, you've got all the joints in the perfect position, I'm more of a blacksmith and large scale clockwork kinetics producer, that basically means I make clocks and the like." He looked at the table in shock, realising that he had dropped a letter with another military seal on it, he picked it up and stowed it away. "Say, that pony back there really snapped didn't she? I thought she might tear me to pieces the way she was looking around, well I guess it proves that hell hath no fury like a mare scorned." He said carefully. | |
