Sandy felt the sun hitting his face. He opened his eyes, looked around his room from his bed and was off like a rocket. Across the corridor, down the stairs and into the kitchen. Immediately he started munching away at the cereal he had left out last night (after adding milk of course.).
Sandy guzzled it all up then looked at the clock. It was 10 on a Saturday morning. His parents had already gone- farmers' market today, and they were helping out. They'd asked Sandy if he wanted to help but he didn't feel like it. Oreo had only moved house a little while ago, so he wanted to go visit her and see how she was doing.
Sandy missed her living with his family. In the morning, while not nearly as hyper as he was, she'd usually get up with him and they'd sit and have their breakfast while talking about what they'd do that day. Usually they'd get Nikki and they'd pop off together.
Nikki was another pony Sandy missed. She'd gone off to that unicorn school to learn magic. Sandy couldn't go there since he wasn't that good at magic. Plus, he hadn't got his cutie mark yet so he didn't know what he'd use magic for.
Anyway, Sandy galloped out the door after locking up then ran up to Oreo's new cottage and knocked on the door, bouncing in anticipation.
