Discussion: You Are Now a Princess/Prince!

Princess Celestia has UPGRADED you for her new colonization project. Apparently, Equestria is a bit too over-crowded!

You have been teleported to the other side of whatever planet ponies inhabit, with 90 mares and 90 stallions (30 of each pony type per gender) . It's time to build a pony nation!

Celestia is giving you a few preliminary choices though:

1.) What type of environment would you like? (Desert, Forest, Underwater Bubble Houses, Enchanted Sky City, Ect)

2.) You can tame one type of beast that has been in the show so far for defense only. Remember, ponies are peaceful! You have animals to do your dirty work! Which one do you choose? (Manticore, Dragon, Hydra, Cockatrice, Ect) Bullhonkery.

3.) What is your society primarily going to focus on? (Science, Worshiping Luna, Rapid Population Expansion, Reading a bunch of bad fanfiction, ect)

You need to figure out how to incorporate each type of pony (earth, pegasus, unicorn) into your fledgling nation with the goal of becoming a utopia in under 10 years! Are your unicorns the ones that maintain your bubble houses while your hydra taming earth ponies farm kelp and Luna worshiping pegusai write bad fanfiction?

Your a Celestia tier dictator, so it's all up to you!

As Suppreme Ruler of NEW ICCYLAND,

Clouds brought to Treetops, interconnected by platforms, Elevators, And Zipline, while, near the top of the City, Bizarre Sciences creates a floating land-mass, Where My throne and few Farm Fields shall be held. The Island shall be tethered to the forest by a Giant Chain.

Earth Ponies Shall farm the Crops on the Floating Island, And mostly be in charge of Cooking and whatnot, Mostly, Pegasai will be in charge of Defending the island with Cloud-tanks, And Unicorns will study Cloud-Magic to enhance my Army, And soon, WE SHALL TAKE OVER THE Small country to the next of us.

And There will be an Airbattleship.

Dear Princess Celestia,

Thank you once again for allowing me to settle the new colony of Cottonwood, and establishing the scientific/education based nation it is today. Truthfully, the wildlife was a bit of a hassle to deal with, but after a few casualties, we have established the city of RF-1 (or Rein, as the more traditional minded of us call it), with the cities of RF-2 and RF-3 in planning.

Other organised groups in the area have consisted of a few tribes of centaurs. They have been efficiently dealt with, but I fear they might be an endangered species which is a shame, especially considering how helpful they were in adapting to this land. Closer studies have revealed they fallen victim to commonpox, a disease thought to be eradicated in Equestria. We are being particularly cautious.

Some native plants are proving especially hard to cultivate even for our Earth ponies, but a particular berry bush has been a great success. Some berries have been sent back so that this crop can be cultivated in the homeland as well. Bitterfruit has also been a moderate success after the unfortunate case of Sweet Tooth. It can be enjoyed, but only if you eat the bad tasting skin as well as the delicious insides. Other notable plants such as the blood lillies and the life life lillies are explored the the department of Honesty's report.

The department of Loyalty is having particular trouble controlling the weather here. They have some control over the skies, but it seems to have a mind of its own, much like the oceans. This has come under intense study, and may be the key to how the Everfree came to be.

An interesting discovery has also been made by the Department of Generosity. Gemstones here have a far greater magical property than the gemstones back home. This discovery has been monumental to the development of the colony, and a sample Diamond, Emerald, Lapis Lazuli, Topaz, Opal, Ruby and Amethyst has been sent home for examination.

Glad Oats, the head of the department of laughter has unfortunately gone insane and had to be dealt with via water from the dreaming spring. The water, when drunk, allows the drinker to have accurate visions of whatever they were thinking when they drunk the water. However, if said drinker has evil in their heart, they will turn into a tree. Glad Oats is probably happier that way.

All in all, this is a curious land that requires further investigation.

Dear Princess Celestia:

The colonization of Isla Caballo has been met with unprecedented success. While none of Equestria's native crops, except for corn, have been able to flourish here we have had great success with the island's native fruits.

Thanks to the pegasi, the island is an absolute paradise. Your sun always shines down on us except in the rare cases that we must water our crops. In addition to the income of selling the island treasures abroad, I can see that this island is very well suited for a very successful tourist industry. Should you wish to visit, I would be more than happy to accommodate you in the palace.

Speaking of exports, you can expect a trade delegation to arrive in the Manehattan harbor within a few weeks of receiving this letter. Our ship is loaded with all manners of goods from our fair island colony. Papaya, coconuts, bananas, pineapple, exotic hardwoods, coffee, sugar, tobacco, and even tropical fishes from our reefs, all gathered and harvested by our industrious earth ponies. Also included are a few cases of rum, furniture, canned goods, pieces of jewelry, and some of my favored cigars all made mostly by the unicorns, but a few earth and pegasus ponies as well.

I do not shoehorn the ponies into what I think is best, but allow them to freely choose to do as they wish, so long as they do not hurt overall productivity. Since I have decided to see to the management of all resources on the island, everypony is paid a fair wage for their work and all income shall be made through trade of said resources. This will allow me to raise the funds necessary to construct schools, hospitals, and whatever else our little island needs and offer it all for free so no pony will ever be disenfranchised based on their background.

However not all is fun in the sun here. A few of the more capitalistic colonists have decided to flee into the jungles and become rebels. They strike at our farms and workshops with explosives in the name of 'liberating' the island. I have taken it upon myself to form a secret police and armed forces to stand guard and root out the rebels that terrorize us in the day as well as night. I myself do not hesitate to come from my palace to aid in repelling them, and in as many cases as possible, capture them alive. Most of the original rebels have been captured yet there seem to be, or at least give the illusion of, more. While the secret police have manage to foil their more covert bombing attempts, they have not been able to ascertain their base, or who is funneling them supplies and explosives. However, as violent as they are, I plan on allowing them to join the rest of us in our paradise once more infrastructure is built and they see the error of their ways. In the meantime, I request that you send a few extra guards. With a greater show of might, I'm certain they will think it to be foolhardy to attack anymore.

Dear Princess Celestia,

This is the supreme lord of the Bubble Kingdom His Highness King Neptune Bubble Gum Koi Fish.

I am happy to report that the Bubble Kingdom's Reef expansion project is well underway. We Sea Ponies have managed to cultivate more then a quarter mile of new reef along Eqestria's coastline. Finally the scars of the Greater Dragon wars are healing. Enclosed in this letter is a collection of pictures of species of fish we have long thought extinct.

Our tourist industry has doubled since last I wrote you, you understand, us sea ponies are not so great when it comes to dealing with paper. The air breathing ponies seem to love our food. We have devised many celebrations and Sea Pony 'Artifacts' to sell the air breathers. Though they seem to think it strange we eat fish.

Lastly I must request military aid. with out booming reef society it has attracted the attention of a family of sea serpents. With them moving in on the lower section of the reef I am afraid that I will have to cancel the tourist activities there.

We would also like to request that you send us more air breather imports, with the success of the tourism we need to expand and we need to build more places for the air breathers to leave and stay. My Secretary will send you the exact amounts needed.

Dear Princess Celestia,

I'm not sure why you chose me to be the Princess of some new land or whatever, but the benefits were too hard to pass up. We all settled on some large island continent next to a slightly bigger island continent that has some other ponies on it but we don't really care about them. They seem like assholes anyhow.

We weren't really sure what to do when we got there, so i told them to build houses and stuff and it turns out this place has a lot of good potatoes. So we have been growing a crap ton of them. After a while, the other island ponies started to not like us and called us heathens and stuff.

Long story short, they kinda conquered us and made us practice their stupid religion and stuff. Who would have thought they were indeed assholes. Sure they left me in charge of stuff but they wanted me to be loyal to them and some nonsense. Whatever, ill just nod and keep sending you letters.

Then the most amazing thing happen. We learned how to make something one pony called 'alcohol.' Things have not been the same since. This place is now paradise, even if we are having a huge potato famine and ponies are starving. Those other island ponies left us alone after a while anyway when i sent them more alcohol than their blood concentration could take. Fortunately our alcohol is a really populare export and now we are making bits off it enough to buy food and stuff.

Anyhow, things are good now, and I'm still not sure why you put me in charge. Enclosed is a sample of our alcohol and a potato.
