*Season 4 Finale Event* A day like any other....

It was a day like any other. The city was bustling, the sun was bright, and no pony thought the day was apart from any other.

Except for Shala. She was rather busy screaming ludicrously down the street running for her life. Something that was a bit extreme, even for her tendencies. She crashed through a few stalls of merchandise, knocking ponies out of her way. Finally, she appeared to come to her senses and realized she was in a crowd.

She...hated....crowds.

And just as quickly, she turned and ran the other way, still screaming ludicrously. Ponies watching were probably either confused or rather fed up with her being a less than ideal pony in Canterlot.

That is until the building in front of her was suddenly torn open by a rather large centaur monkey thing.

The hell are you trying to do? Confuse ponies?

What? Why are you talking to me? I'm narrating!

Yeah well you don't have make me look like some kind of terrified fruit you disembodied voice of....stupid.

...But you were terrified.

He wrecked my stuff! Give me friggin context!

...Fine.



Shala was having a day like any other. Wake up in the morning, brush her teeth, take a shower, eat a cheap simple breakfast, go to work...

Hey! It was my day off!

Except for today, it was her day off. So she did what she did best. Lay o her hammock in her small front yard and stare a ponies passing by upside down, going no where in life.

You really suck.

Well, you totally are not doing anything.

I was getting a bottle of wine. I do have daily objectives!

Wow, okay. Good for you. Anyhow, Shala was-

Don't they call me Timetable now or something?

Well, yeah, thats your legal name now, but your friends all knew you as Shala, if there are any around anymore, and only that colt friend you put into a coma called you Tickyclock.

Just get to the part where I drink already!

Fine. So Shala realized she needed to do her 'daily objectives' and get down to drinking right away. It was a day like any other, right? So after about a half hour of mustering up the impatience and energy to finally get out of her hammock, she went inside to fetch a bottle. That was when the first thing went wrong.

....Things went wrong?

You have, like, no short term memory do you?

....Can we get to drinking yet?

...Right. So the first thing you realized was wrong, much to your disappointment, was when you were out of wine.

*gasp*

Suddenly, Shala's lazy mood changed to that of determination. She was going to get her wine one way or another, and she was not above swiping one from her neighbor, whom had come unfortunately accustomed to her attempts. It never stopped Shala though. She marched right to her front door....

....Just to witness it being torn from its hinges from a huge monster.

Oh damn. What happens next?

Well, Shala did what any reasonable sane and sober pony would do. Scream.

Oh, what a wuss...

.....So, this monster quickly grasped Shala as she screamed, taking hold of her very tightly. She had no way out now. But despite Shala being in a total panic, she had just enough reflex with her magic for a spurt of her knee jerk talent. She traveled back in time, just seconds before she was grabbed and ran right under him before she was grabbed.

No no no no. Its not like that. I, that is, me, traveled back in time, everything else stayed the same, so I appeared where I was 5 seconds or something ago. He probably thought I teleported or something. Its kinda complicated and probably could cause paradoxes if you do a 'whole entire world' time travel. I dont know. I never remember after I do...Do I?

I just now realize you being drunk and performing time magic as being kinda scary....Anyhow. Shala ran, screaming ridiculously as her thoughts raced so fast she didn't know what to do until she bowled through several ponies in the market.

I hate crowds

I know, we already went over that.

I hate monkeytuars now too. Can we put that on the list?

...Sure. Why not.

Shadowfire had just made it to Canterlot and was currently roaming the streets, causally taking his time. He had time too waste anyway before he visited his parents then his friends.

How sad it was not going to be like that...

Shadow paused in the middle of the street as a mare came barrelling through the streets knocking multiple stalls and other objects over...even ponies. He stared at her with a concerned look.

Is she alright... Shadow thought.

Shadow started to follow her ever so cautiously not wanting to startle her as she continued to run away from what Shadow presumed to be something. He got his answer soon enough.

There was some sort of centaur looking monkey chasing her...

Could this day be any weirded?

Though it was considerate of Shadowfire to cautiously follow Shala 'as to not startle her', Shala was plenty startled enough at this point.

Hehehehe. Its funny cause its true.

You know this is you I am talking about?

Not my problem.

....Right. Anyhow, the large monster started opened its mouth, drawing magic straight from the crowds in mass, leaving ponies drained of energy and hardly able to escape. Shala, though, had managed to book it rather unnaturally fast.

Its cause I can do timey wimey fasty stuff...sometimes...I think...I dont know. It just happens.

Emmett Brown would be proud. Now that Shala was getting some distance, she rounded a few corners and began to slow down, catching her breath after a rather long exhausting run. She felt to her rump and huffed.

"...I...could...sure use...a drink...about now..." She gasped.

I always could use a drink about now.

How classy....

Ok, so this day was going to definitely get weirder and weirder as it was already happening. The monkey centaur creature opened it's mouth and started absorbing energy from everypony nearby. To say he was shocked when he saw how fast the mare had moved would be an understatement.

Not that it mattered...much...seeing as he had to make sure he was safe.

Use a quick short range teleport, Shadow teleported away to avoid being drained of his energy like everypony else.

Ok so a mare is running through the streets for no apparent reason... Shadow thought.

So like the idiot I am, I decide to follow and find a monkey centaur creature...

By now he was ranting...it was normal for him though...maybe...

And that 'thing' starts taking everypony's energy...I think...and then the mare runs unnaturally fast!

Shadow sighed wearily.

Is there ever a normal day in my life?!

Shala took her time catching her breath, but she didn't want to wait too long. The roar of destruction and screaming ponies could be heard in the distance, and Shala figured it was a good idea to get farther away from it.

Ya think?

I don't know. You do some pretty stupid things sometimes.

You're stupid

Shala peeked around a corner before galloping across it. There were crowds of ponies running all about in the main roadways, and it seemed that probably was the worst place to go, especially with her fear of crowds.

Hey! Looks like that is paying off! See? I knew there was a good reason for that!

I don't think you...Whatever. Shala bumped her head into a pony because she wasn't paying attention to where she was going.

You did that on purpose!

Probably.

Shadow took his time to calm his nerves before trying to make his way out of Canterlot, the screams from all other ponies wasn't helping his nerves but he made his out of the street he was in nonetheless.

Ponies were running everywhere...

Great Shadow thought.

He started running in a random direction he assumed to be away from the cause of whatever is happening. Of course the idiot he is...he didn't watch where he was going...

And of course ran into another pony...

And of course it had to be the mare he had seen earlier...

Shala fell back onto her rump and rubbed her head, cursing to herself.

"Celestia dammit! Now I really need a drink to get rid of this headache!" She shook her head, as if that would relieve her of the pain, and glared at Shadow. "Whats the big idea Blacky? You listen to too much heavy metal that you took head banging literally?"

Hahaha...Get it? Cause he looks all goth and dark and...yeah.

Shala, you ever wonder why you don't have many friends?

No, why?

.....

Too say he was shocked by how the mare reacted would be an understatement.

"Using that kind of tone will get you nowhere and I'm sure you've ntoiced that it a bit crazy around here." Shadow said much colder than he ever spoke to a pony

But then again, when someone acts arrogant to him...he returns the favor.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I need to find my family."

With that, Shadow left the mare where she was and proceed in the direction of his parents home to make sure there were alright.

Crazy? Its crazy around here? I don't think this pony knows me.

At least you know there is one thing wrong with you.

...Ill let you think about that. Anyhow, Shala merely raised an eyebrow at this pony commenting on her tone. Chances were he would probably have a lot more to say or be speechless if he were to be in her company on a typical afternoon around her.

"My tone got me plenty of places. Mind where you are going Blacky." She said all the same. While it could sound condescending to most ears, Shala naturally assigned nick names and rough humor to most any situation and thought nothing of it. Something nessesary with the hardcommings throughout her life.

Hardcommings? You trying to pass me off as some sob story?

...Shala, you were born out of sob stories.

I have been very happy lately mind you. I bet that pony has more sob than me.

That pony has parents to go to.

Shadow had heard the pony' statement and chose to ignore, leaving her to her possibly sad and selfish life. Right now, all he cared about was finding his parents making sure they were ok.

He made in quick time and entered the house. He began to search the house but what he found made something within him snap...

Seems the creature had already gotten to his parents...

He bolted out of the house and headed for the train station hoping to get out of Canterlot. Tears streamed down his face as vowed a silent revenge against the monster that had hurt his family. Right now he had one family member left that he was determined to save.

Shimmering Fire...

((That's ok what I wrote isn't it? I hope?))

Upon arriving at the train station, Shadow would find a rather large crowd of ponies trying to get away. So many that it was obvious this train was not going to fit every pony. Panic was starting to spread as ponies scrambled to get tickets before they ran out.

Shala was doing what she did best around crowds, and stayed away from them, staying along the sidelines as she went from one pony to the next, looking rather agitated and stressed.

"Look, you lend me some bits, and I can get us both a ticket! Really! You think I would lie to you?....No that wasn't me that didn't pay off the tavern a few weeks ago and caused a bar fight! That was some pony that looked like me! Aaugh! Fine! Stay here and get screwed!" She stomped off to the next pony.

"Hey, lend me some bits and I'll get us both tickets....Oh, its you. Hey, you look like garbage. You know a good amount of ethanol will totally help you and you can feel like garbage later." She pulled out a flask from her mane casually and helped herself. "Never leave home without it!"

Hehehehe. Im so awesome.

You just told a traumatized pony to go get drunk. How is that awesome?

Huh? Oh, that pony? I wasn't talking about him. I was totally checking out how sweet I look when I pull that flask out with my mane. I practiced that for hours in the mirror once.

But that pony!

Listen narrator thingy, I don't wanna talk about sad ponies. Sad sucks. Sad gets ponies into bad places, and I know bad places. I'll be ignorant as much as I want to keep away from that crap.

Very well...You have delt with it longer...

When Shadow arrived at the station, he saw many ponies trying to get out of Canterlot.

Shadow facehoofed.

Of course, train stations are always occupied in a crisis. He groaned mentally.

He really hoped his magic wouldn't fail him now, even with how weak he is at it. He focused on the Canterlot Gate and used his magic...

...but of course it failed him.

So he ran to the gates.

Shala blinked as the pony ran off...again.

"Wow, my breath isnt that bad. I even brushed last night. See you later Runny McRunnerson!"

She rolled her eyes with a shrug and went back to finding more ponies to bed bits from. Of course no pony would give her any, despite her determination to tell them she could get tickets if she had the money.

Ugh. No pony has a good sense of decency to trust me these days!"

Usually for good reason.

Shadow had heard the mare he had run into several times already before when she was asking for bits but chose to ignore her and he heard her last remark as he ran for the gates but still chose to ignore her.

He wasn't in the mood to deal with many ponies right now. He had to get to Ponyville ASAP. He if can get to the gate then he knows where to go from there.

It wasn't long before he reached the gate and attempted to use he magic again, to teleport to Ponyville, he knew he wouldn't teleport all the way as his magic would give out before then but he would attempt to go as far as he can.

Of course...his magic failed him again.

What the hay is going on?! He thought angrily and begin his looooooong trek to Ponyville.

Shala was having none of this though. Whatever that thing was it was on its way to the train. It was time for her to move it. Making her way toward the gate of the city, she started to feel like things were looking a bit better. Until...

...Until what? Tell me what happens!

I'm narrating. Don't you already know?

Its not fun that way.

Shala ran into a crowd. A rather slow crowd. If anything it might have been a line to get out.

Shala hated crowds.

I hate crowds!

To be more specific, she has an irrational phobia of crowds. So in her nervous scared mood she did what-

I SCREAM AND CRY FOR HELP! AHHHH!

"I wanna go! Ahhh!Help! Let me throooough!" She tried to find a reasonable gap that didn't look like she would get swallowed up by them but nothing was opening up. Panic started to take hold. "Haaaaalp!"

Shadowfire hadn't even taken more then ten steps before he heard a shout that sound like a cry for help and he knew who it was.

The same pony who was downright rude to him, the same pony he wanted nothing to do with and the same pony that seems to hate crowds.

Shadow quickly weighed his options, and with a resigned sigh, trotted back to the gates of Canterlot and looked for the mare that caused him some troubles. He spotted her with ease and tried to levitate her out of the crowd and to the gate entrance.

If he could get this done quickly, then he will leave and go to Ponyville.
