Exploring town square

Wingit looked around the town square, surveying the various groups of ponies. There were merchants selling there goods and ponies running about. This was a normal scene to most ponies, but not wingit. In cloudsdale, pegasi flew everywhere, and mostly zoomed by without a second glance. All the ponies here seemed to stop and talk, without much to do. He walked around the square and listened into a few conversation's, and checked out the wares. Everything he saw seemed out of place. No busy ponies, no crowded skies, and the talking ponies. He also liked it. Wingit walked up to a vendor. He had asked him his name, what ponyville was like, and how business was. The answers were [Generic pony name here], a very nice town that is easy to live in, and it was just fine. Wingit said his goodbye's and sat down in front of the mayor's house, just to hear and see his new surrounding's.

Silly was still getting use to the slow pace of Ponyville. In Cloudsdale the they were also on the run and stopping to chat was a rare sight to see. Add on the friendly ponies and not being asked to race ever thirty minutes was refreshing.

Today was great day for him because he was to see a live band play a piece of music he sold them and they were touring the country side. A name of there list of places to play was Ponyville which was great luck for Silly. He had been feeling down lately and he needed something to bring a little more joy back into his life.

He sits over on the steps of the Town Hall, home of the Mayor Mare where he watched as they set up for the live show.

Wingit looked at the new pony with interest. The new pony was a pegasus for one, and he didnt see to many on the way over to the square. He was white, and had a note painted on his back, or so Wingit thought. He asked the newcomer "Why do you have a note painted on your flank?" in a questioning tone.

He looks over to you with a bewildered look then looks down at his flank to see his cutie mark. The pony asked such a strange question that is took Silly a few seconds to react.

"M-my special talent is creating music so there is a treble clef to show that. Treble Clefs are found on the front of a score."

"But don't most ponies get instruments instead? Having a single note is strange." He said. He sat down closer to the new Pegasus. "What's your name?" He asked.

"My name is Si-Symphony, just Symphony and no it isn't strange. You get a instrument when your good at a certain type of instrument like a flute or cello. I am good at writing the music so I get a score symbol."

"That would make me think it would be a pen though." He said. "Cutiemark's are strange.". He started thinking about other famous music ponies, not able to think of a single pony with a single note as a cutiemark. "I hope i get one that stands out to" He said hopefully.

He didn't understand this colt thought process at all and it kinda bugged him. There was something strange about this one. Or was it Silly who was the strange one? Had he been so closed in himself that he had become different from the norm? He hids his cutie mark byturning so others wouldn't notice it as they walked by.

"You still hunting for one? So your a Blank Flank...."

"Not for long!" He said quickly, standing up. "I'm going to get a cutiemark soon! I just know it!". He took off and started flying circles just above Symphony. "I hope i will get a cloud for a cutiemark!" He said in delight, perking up. He landed gently on the steps and lowered his head a bit, noticing a few ponies had turned to watch him. He sat back down.

"How much music have you written?" He asked curiously. Ever since he got into book's, he read any books he could get a hand on, including music sheets, homework, essays, rants's and much more.

Silly didn't know what to say about him wanting a cloud for a cutie mark, what would a cloud cutie mark even do? It makes him good at walking on clouds? Good at making them? He didn't want to think to hard about this kinda stuff. The colt takes to the air and does a few loops for the thrill then lands near Silly. He scoots a little away from him out of habit. He had issue with ponies being close to him without him wanting them to be.

"I have wrote thousands of sheets of music, btut only have sold thirty-four original pieces." He tried his best when writing and it was something he loved doing. He would spend hours locked in his room doing it.

"Whats your most famous one?" He asked, eager to learn if he had read one of his pieces.

Silly tried to figure what could be one he did that got any sort of attention from anyone? He pondered for a moment before stating.

"For a time I traveled with a orchestra called the New Tortston orchestra. They were a little one and made money moving from town to town. I made some stuff for them once a upon a time."

"I haven't heard of them." He said. He thought about that name for a moment. It seemed to familiar...

Silly shook his head with a small smile. He didn't expect to hear of them unless you were a classical buff or were related to one of them. He kinda had wished he had heard, but at the same time it inspired him to be better and try to be more well known. He knew someday his music would be the the most well known in all of Equestria if he keeps working.

"It's cool if you haven't, not many ponies know about them."

"Oh! I know them! My dad does anyways.. He says he likes the music." He said with a big grin. He was never really into classical, but his dad sure was. He was always going on about how the modern day was to 'modern' and we should stop advancing.

Wingit bounced for a few seconds, then sat back down. He waited for the other ponies response.

"Really? Well that doesn't surprise me to much. Most older ponies listen to it a lot."

He was happy to hear that he heard it through his father, but that meant it wasn't cool and most ponies his own age won't of heard it.

"Anyways, what are you doing in the town square? I thought you liked writing music" He asked questioningly. When he came here he seemed to be waiting for something, and he wanted to find out.

"I do other stuff besides writing music. I am here to listen to a live band that will be playing." He wasn't going to reveal it was his msuic they were going to be playing because he didn't want to sound like a show off.

"That will be fun!" He said cheerily. He sat down and looked around at the square, seeing more ponies come in. "What music will they be playing?" He asked.

Silly scoots a little more away with a smile as he points to them. "There some type of pop jazz band sort of. They also got this kinda funky vibe too."

Wingit looked towards where he was pointing and examined the ponies. Just normal ponies with normal instruments, preparing to start playing. Then he remembered "I should be going soon" He said, getting up.

Silly almost wanted to breath out in relieve when the band set up and the colt seem to want to exit. He felt like the colt was judging him with his curiousness in his eyes, like he saw him like a book to finish or something. He wasn't use to having other pay him so much attention n it was troubling to him. He did inside feel a little bad of course, he felt it mie be his fualt the colt waants to leave. Best try to give a friendly goodbye.

"Where are you heading off too?"

"Well, you see.. I left my house before unpacking everything i was supposed to. My dad might wake up soon!" He said urgently. He ran and took off, yelling over his shoulder "See you around!" Then turned towards his house.

Silly watches him fly off to move his house which means he must be new to here like Silly was. He was just trying to be friendly to Silly and make a friend in a new town. Though Silly was fin with being nice, but wasn't one to trust anyone with something like friendship. His heart couldn't take another breaking.

"Bye..... Wait! What's your name?"

Wingit stopped and turned around, then yelled "Wingit!" Then turned and dived towards where his house was.
