History: Jack was born in a small town outside of Canterlot to his mother, Thrifty who had enough money troubles as it was, but always found a way to support Jack. His father, Loud Mouth, was never really around when Jack was young, due to his job keeping him away. Even so, Jack sought out and found his father in his teen years following his mothers death. This journey was sparked by the feeling of loneliness, due to his mothers absence. Jack now knows and loves his father, and also resembles Loud Mouth in many ways. Jack earned his cutie mark when he lived with his mother, who he often help at her many jobs. Jack discovered he was good at a little bit of everything, but giving the speech at his high school graduation showed how good he was at being loud for one, and giving speeches for another.
After high school, Jack traveled Equestria doing odds and ends jobs when commentating and announcing jobs were few and far in between. He then settled down in Ponyville, having got a job as the mayors announcer for public meetings though one of her assistance always told him what to announce, because the mayor was always to busy. Though he loved his job he felt he could do better. So as soon as he'd saved up enough money, Jack moved to Canterlot, seeking a job as Princess Celestia's royal announcer. Though he did not get the job , he was offered a job as the repair pony, which he respectfully declined. He then decided to enlist in the guard which he is now a proud member of. He still, however, announces, but its usually addresses to the guard and Victory speeches. None the less, Jack couldn't be happier. He now presides in the guards barracks during the week, and his mothers old home just outside of Canerlot on weekends and scheduled leave.
Example: Jack was out and about on the streets of Canterlot. He was having an awful start to his day, having slammed his hoof in the castle door and lost his favorite hat. Jack was about to start crying when he heard the sounds of actual crying. Concern, he followed the sounds to a crying foal who scream for her mother who she'd been separated from. Being the kind pony he is jack spoke to her and tried to calm her.
" Hey now, sweetheart, what's wrong? Can you not find your ma?" Jack asked, in a softened tone. When the little foal shook her head, Jack asked her name which she told him. He then covered her ears, so she wouldn't go deaf from his shouting.
" Would Gumdrops mother please show yourself." Jack shouted at the top of his lungs. Not two seconds after, a mare came running over to them, embracing Gumdrop. Jack allowed her time to calm her foal down, not leaving until he wasn't needed. When the mare had calmed her foal, she asked Jack what she could do to repay him for finding her foal. Jack look down and Gumdrop, who smiled up at him. That smile warmed his heart. Jack told the mare he was just happy to see her daughters smile, and that it was payment enough. After her departure, Jack smiled know nothing could ruin the rest of his day.
