Star's a Shipper?!

"Aha!" she yelled, springing off the bench towards Starflower. "I can see it aaaall in your face! You did write these letters, didn't you!" This time she leaned in close to Star with an triumphant expression on her face, so close that they could have touched noses. "Playing matchmaker, perhaps? I know I don't look like it, but I'm really perceptive, being a journalist! Sweet Celestia, I can see it now!" She sat abruptly back on her haunches and swept her front hooves into the air, making the "newspaper headline" motion. "'LOCAL PEGASUS PLAYS MATCHMAKER TO SET UP FRIENDS'!"

Breezedancer's face reddened and she tumbled off the bench, bursting into laughter. "T-that's incredible!" She barely managed to say, her legs kicking out slightly as she laughed. "This sure is one hay of a setup!" She added as she recovered from her fits of laughter.

"Me and her? Pssh, nah..." Carpe dismissed it with a wave of her hoof. "I mean, sure, she's gorgeous, and has awesome wings, and a lovely personality, and doesn't get annoyed with me...But that doesn't mean she'll feel the same way about me, even if she's into mares..." She blinked and blushed softly, turning her head to look at the gray mare. "...Are you?"

"Me? Into mares?" Breezedancer asked, trailing off slightly. "You bet I am!" She added with a blush spreading across her face along with a smirk.

She took a moment to register that, her face turning redder. "Really? Wow..." The mare then smirked right back at her, laughing softly. "Small world, huh? I thought I was the only one in Ponyville!"

Breezedancer beamed with a wide smile, her eyes glistening a little. "I thought I'd never find a pony like you around here!" She said, her wings opening up a little. "So, is this like a first date then?"

"Mad? No, of course not, silly~" Carpe grinned and nudged her with her shoulder in a friendly way before winking at Breeze, her smirk coming back. "It is if you want it to be!"

"Then it's a date!" Breezedancer said, smirking with a wink back at Carpe. "But lets do something more exciting than eating pastries." She added as she stood up and flared out her wings.

Starflower smiled and trotted off.

Carpe moved to stand next to her, beaming as she straightened her hat and flattened down her bangs."Sounds like a plan! Have any ideas on where to go? I've got one, if you don't."

"I wanna hear your idea." Breezedancer said, smiling and turning towards Carpe. "I'm super curious."

"Oh, well, I was thiiiinking that we could walk over to Whitetail Woods and just talk, y'know, get to know each other more." She smiled back at her. "Whitetail is said to be really pretty this time of year!"

"That sounds great!" Breezedancer exclaimed with a bright smile, looking around with a slight look of confusion on her face. "So.... Which way is the woods?"

"That way!" She pointed in the direction with her hoof, squinting. "It's not too far, follow me!" The mare took off running, letting out an excited whoop.

Breezedancer smiled and nodded, running off alongside the orange mare. "I'll race ya!" She hollered, speeding up to a gallop.

Her eyes narrowed and she smirked at the other, her competitive streak flaring. "Oh, you're on!" she yelled back, speeding ahead of the pegasus.

Breezedancer took a deep breath, chasing after the orange mare with a certain fire in her eyes. "I'll have you know! I'm quite the athlete!" She said between breaths, running neck-in-neck with the other mare.
