Need some character input![Mods especially!]

I REALLY want to make a blind unicorn artist, but I don't know how viable that would be, or if that would fly?

Since it's definitely possible for it to happen in humans, I'd love to make a pony like this!

I thought about him being like...almost totally blind, but not 100%, Perhaps his magic could enhance color vision to allow him to see what he's painting?

Or being totally blind, using his magic as a means to feel for what he needs, each color would be marked differently in some physical way so he could tell what he was using, his paintings would have a very raised, textural quality, like a Van Gogh piece, that way he could use his magic to feel around the piece.

I'm just trying to see what might work in the scope of the forum, and if anyone has any ideas that might fit better if those two I have up there don't! ^^
