It was a new day. And Joseph Planckes, the once loud mouthed show off, was retuning to Ponyville after a lengthy absence. During this absence, he had learned modesty and humility. The days of him getting himself in trouble and failing to talk himself out of it were over. The days of him blathering on and on for hours on end were over. And in his mind, the days of being an unlikeable pony were over.
He stepped off the train, and levitated his comb from his vest to comb his mane in his most favored of styles. With his saddlebags in check and a new smile on his face, he took his first steps off the train and onto Ponyville for the first time in what felt like years.
"Hello Ponyville," he said, in a low voice, "You are going to love the new me".
