Cutie Mark: Directional arrow. At eleven years old, Riley was going through the phase in life where you desperately seek out your cutie mark. he tried all sorts of things, from arrow shooting, mud wrestling, and speed-eating, but nothing seemed to work.
Seeing how exhausted and preoccupied he was, his family and friends tried to encourage him to take a break and relax, but he told them, "No way! If I'm going to find out what makes my life so significant, I need to stay on top of the game no matter what!"
It was then that he felt a shining on his flanks. He checked, and to his delight, he had obtained his cutie mark! It was of a directional arrow.
He and everyone else tried to decipher what it meant, until it was realized that it meant Riley's ability to always be brave and keep moving forward in tough situations.
Age: Adult (20)
Personality: Most of the time, Riley's default mood is generally just a nice, kind, easy-going guy with a good sense of humor. He can be a bit silly and childish, sometimes even gullible and naive with his innocent demeanor, and furthermore his kindness and helpfulness means he can sometimes be a doormat.
The way he generally acts is for casual situations. The extension of his personality is that he is selfless and noble, always willing to help out someone in need regardless of who they are or the circumstances. Perhaps the best example of him displaying this is when he first came across his pet dog named Cookie. At age 18, shortly after moving out of his parents' house, he found the dog in the streets, and judging by the thin body and absence of a collar, he came to the conclusion that it was a stray. When he petted it and fed it, it took a quick liking to him. However, not long later, he heard a stallion yelling at him angrily to get away from the dog, which leant against Riley in fright. The Pegasus realized with dread: this owner was abusing the dog. He had no idea how long it had been going on for, or exactly what torment the stallion inflicted upon the animal, but he made a snap-decision: Grabbing the dog and flying away from the area as fast as his wings would fly.
To this day, Riley and the newly-named Cookie are living happily together.
When it comes to his friend Aerith, Riley tends to become very shy and flustered, the reason for this is that he holds one-sided love for her. Easily being a pushover is most exemplified when it comes to his relationship with her as he will almost certainly yield to her every request, not to mention he almost doesn't notice her flaws, seeing her as perfect.
Riley is a big eater with a larger-than-average appetite. Ironically, he is allergic to pecans.

Dislikes: Evil and injustice, the thought of Cookie's previous owner finding them, being shunned, the feud between his parents and Aerith
History: Riley was born in Manehattan, and thanks to ancestor blood, he was a Pegasus despite both of his parents being Earth ponies.
At seven years old, he was joined by his younger brother Reece, an Earth pony, with whom Riley shares a close bond.
At ten years old, at the start of the new school year, he was confronted by a bullying colt who shoved him to the ground and demanded lunch money. However, a white filly, who he would come to know as Aerith, came to his rescue by scaring the bully off.
Riley and Aerith soon became good friends, finding each other fun and interesting to be around, and after a couple of months...

Well, on Riley's end, anyway. He was much too shy about it to let her know, despite otherwise being fairly outgoing.
So from that point on, Riley's childhood became more eventful and sophisticated since Aerith had been introduced into the mix. Much of his time was spent with her, much of his thoughts were about her. Aerith had a tendency to play rough and get into trouble, and so Riley's parents disliked her, considering her to be a bad influence on their son. The colt and filly did still hang out in secrecy.
At sixteen years old, Riley took a part-time job at the joke shop he frequently visited (sometimes with Aerith and/or Reece)
At eighteen years old, having finished schooling, Riley moved out of his parents' house and got a place of his own, still in Manehattan since he did not want to truly part with his family or Aerith. He wanted a pet to accompany him in his new home, and he got one in a unexpected way.
So since then, he has been living in Manehattan with his dog Cookie, often hanging out with Aerith and his family (but not his parents and Aerith at the same time).
RP segment:Riley was happily skipping his way down the street... when his ears caught a faint sound. He stopped and listened to it. It sounded like sniffling.
He followed the sound until he came across a young filly. She looked to be about five, and she was crying.
"Hey," he said softly, to which she looked at him. "What's wrong?"
She sniffled some more. "I lost mommy..." she said quietly.
Now, when Riley was a colt, he would be bawling whenever he got lost and couldn't find his parents. He could relate.
"Hey, I'll help you find her," he told her with a smile.
The filly inspected him. His eyes gleaming with innocence, and with a heartwarming smile, she knew the stallion had meant his offer.
"Th-thank you, mister..." she told him, getting up.
"Hey, don't mention it," said Riley, and he and the filly began their walk.
