When Tigers Fly

Tiger Lily blushed slightly and giggled, looking excited, but exhausted.

Aster smiled widely. "That's great! I'm so proud."

Stripes smiled and sat down next to Aster

Tiger Lily went upstairs and flopped down on her bed, almost immediately falling asleep.

Aster smiled at Stripes and nuzzled him. "Did Lily make any friends today?"

"Heh, well she did a little race with a colt" He said

Aster giggled softly, flicking her ears. "Does that mean what I think it means...?" She asked with a faint smile.

Tiger Lily slept peacefully, but a dream had begun to form in her mind: she was at the flight school, donning her uniform in the locker room. Tiger Lily hummed a tune to herself but flicked her ears when she heard a clattering noise followed by a thud. She looked around and saw that Jay had snuck in through a small window, she saw him approach and quickly zipped up her uniform. "What are you doing in here?" She asked, narrowing her eyes, he said nothing and stopped directly in front of her, mere inches away from her. "What the hay are-!" She was cut off when the colt suddenly planted a kiss on her. The shock of the event jolted Tiger Lily out of the dream and made her fall off her bed, landing on the floor with a thud.

"Dont get into that so quickly, the colt didnt seem to be very nice to her" he said, laying her head on his lap

Aster giggled. "I was just joking honey, I know it's too early for her. She just became a teenager." She flicked her ears as she heard a thud from upstairs. "Hmm... What was that..?"

"Maybe it was Lily" Stripes said

Aster nodded. "Maybe we should check on her.."

"Okay" He said, getting up from the couch

Aster got up and walked up the stairs, knocking on the door to Lily's room.

Tiger Lily looked up and rubbed her head, her coat and mane fluffed up and messy. "Coming.." She said, opening the door.

Stripes walked upstairs and stood beside Aster, looking at Lily

Lily had a faint blush across her face, the events of the dream still vivid in her mind.

"Is everything alright?" Stripes asked

"I... Um....." Tiger Lily looked visibly flustered. "C-can I talk to you in private, dad...?" She asked, shuffling her hooves.

"Uhm.. sure sweetie" Stripes said, stepping inside her room

Aster went back downstairs to make dinner.

Tiger Lily ruffled her wings, her face reddening. "I... I had a weird dream.... I was in the locker room at the school.... And.... That colt snuck in...." She started, gulping. "And he... Um.... Kissed me.."

Stripes smiled a little "Oh well, maybe you are starting to feel something for him"

Tiger Lily looked down. "But... He was so rude..." She said.

"Its okay, sweetie.. I think you shouldnt hide your feelings" he said, nuzzling her

Tiger Lily blushed faintly. "So... Should I talk to him...?"

Tiger Lily shuffled her hooves again, ruffling her wings. "I'm scared, dad..."

"I know youre nervous, dont worry just speak to him tomorrow" Stripes said, lifting her on the bed and wrapping a blanket around her

Tiger Lily curled up in the bed and sighed, drifting off to sleep again.
