Personality:
Quinn is a very introverted pony, preferring to keep to herself most of the time and only speak when spoken to or when she feels she isn’t out of turn. Rather than thinking with her feelings, she thinks with rationality, and often comes off as inconsiderate due to that. Being misinterpreted a lot, she doesn’t hold very high self esteem for herself in the external world, but in the internal world, she considers herself to be highly intelligent and pragmatic. She keeps a calm and collected attitude and generally tries to be amiable with everypony unless they give her a reason not to, in which case she remains quiet with a poker face. She tries to keep a consistent and orderly routine. Her main flaw is her underdeveloped emotions. She isn’t naturally attuned to the emotions of others, so she tries her best to think relative to feelings instead of hard logic when in situations that are supposed to be sentimental or emotional.
Likes:
Tranquility, small groups of friends, calm conversations, watching the sky, reading books, listening to music, solving challenging puzzles.
Dislikes:
Uproars, obnoxious ponies, crowded places, unneeded drama/stress, explaining things to others that in the end bears no fruit.
History:
Quinn was actually born into a fairly normal family in Ponyville. Her mother was a nice and quiet woman that was naturally in tune with everypony's emotions, and her father was a scholar that thought with only hard logic and reason. Somehow they got along. Quinn always looked up to her father, and every night he would sit down with her, tell her parables, and teach her lessons of discipline about various topics, in turn giving her a cutie mark. A light bulb, signifying her interest in the studies of the intuitive mind. Growing up, she was never one to fall asleep in class or gripe about how boring it was; she was actually quite the contrary. However one day, her father received a request to become a professor at an educational institute in Canterlot. Ever since his departure, Quinn tries her hardest to become just like her father and make both of her parents proud. Even though he doesn't visit much, he writes letters to his family and sends his regards, often in a formal manner that most consider unnecessary when addressing family. In recent times, Quinn spends her time trying to understand the emotions of herself and other ponies, but keeping her head in the path of rationality all the while.
