| Roulette "Aha! I knew going out to the market before I went home would be a good idea...!" Roulette exclaimed happily, giving her wings an extra flap to propel herself to a fruit stand she had just spotted. She'd felt a bit peckish on the way to see her new home, but hadn't felt like sitting down for a full meal at one of the cafes. That, and she'd had this craving for cherries all day. The stand she'd just spotted happened to be selling them. "How lucky." Her little joke made her giggle, though there wasn't anypony around to hear it. She produced some bits from the wallet in her left shoe, asking for a bag of them. "That'll be six bits, and thank ya kindly," Roulette was told by the salespony, who looked as pink as the cherries she pushed towards Roulette. The pegasus sat herself down on a bench to eat, taking a little rest from her flight to the town. These cherries were quality. Fresh, not like the fancy little meals in Canterlot, horrendously overpriced and about half as filling. As she ate, she occupied herself by looking around at the various ponies about the marketplace. There were predominantly earth ponies, and the occasional unicorn or pegasus. They all seemed to have a place to go, though a few were having pleasant conversations at and around cafes. The sight gave Roulette a bit of an ache. She'd left Canterlot without really thinking it through, and though she didn't regret it, -she didn't regret anything, actually- she did miss her friends. Well, that was no problem, she told herself. Once she was finished eating, she'd head over to the tavern for some friendly, ever-so-slightly slurred conversation. | |

| A few rain drops began to fall onto the ground, which was odd as the scheduled rain had been the day before. The isolated rain began to fall as normal as any rain fall, odd in that there was only a single cloud in the sky at the time.
"No, no no!" Spring Shower cried as she swatted at the dark rain cloud that had made itself present over the market place, "The rain was yesterday and you were tucked away nice and neat in that barn!" she yelled at the cloud.
Spring flew around the cloud swatting at it with her hooves trying to make the cloud disperse. After the scheduled rain from the day before had finally released itself from the left over cloud, it lightened and broke apart.
A flustered Spring Shower sighed and wiped her forehead with her hoof as she remained flying in the air. It was at this time that she opened her eyes and saw the ponys in the market place, not all of which were able to avoid the rogue cloud.
"Uh... sorry...?" she said weakly.

| Roulette Roulette blinked as a few drops of rain made themselves known. Out of habit, she took a glance upward, surprised to see only a single cloud, and slightly amused at the pegasus frantically trying to stop it. It began to rain even more around her, and those ponies that couldn't get under cover in time were rained on, much to the amusement of Roulette, who managed to stay dry without moving an inch, though the cloud was almost directly above her. She returned the remaining cherries to the pouch they had been in, leaving them on the bench as she spread her wings and took off. They'd be there when she got back. She got herself level with the bright blue pegasus, grinning at her, a bit accusingly, from over the top of her dark glasses.. "Some weather, huh?" She joked. "Eh, I'm sure nopony is that annoyed. Stray clouds aren't a biggie." She smiled genuinely then. This pegasus looked like someone interesting to talk to, at the very least. | |

| Spring Shower watched nervously as a green pegasus flew up infront of her. "Listen, I'm sorry about that, that cloud didn't get completely used up yesterday and I guess that it somehow got misplaced yesterday and got loose today and..." she interupted her excuss long enough to take a good look at the other pony, "...and you're not wet..."
"I think a couple of them might be a little upset..." Spring said nervously as she looked back down at a few of the regular market-ers who were glaring up at her, "they'd probably be a little less upset if this was the first time this had happened..." she said quietly.

| Roulette "Oh, yeah. Just a bit 'a luck, I suppose." Another joke, how fun. Roulette's grin slowly disappeared as she took another look down at the marketplace. Sure enough, the blue pegasus was getting a few dirty looks from the ponies whose shopping had gotten an unwanted wash. And the pegasus herself looked put-out, too. "They'd probably be a little less upset if this was the first time this had happened..."Oh, so this was sort of a regular occurrence. "Um... what happened, anyway? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but you look like a regular weather pony, through and through." She flipped onto her back, hooves in the air as she nodded at the pegasus' colouring. "Hows' about we fly somewhere else?" She said, flipping herself upright. "You know, let them cool down. And dry off, I guess. Name's Roulette. Do you drink?" | |

| Spring Shower glanced between the market and back towards Roulette, "that might be a good idea" she said a little glumly, clearly a little disappointed.
After a moment of flying, away from the scene of the rain, Spring, who had remained a little quiet during the flight, turned to Roulette "I'm Spring Shower," She said, offering her hoof, "and I am a weather pony, that cloud just, uh, didn't quite get used yesterday... it was such a nice day... I figured a little less rain would have been very welcomed..." she waffled.
"I've never seen you before, are you new in town?" Spring asked, beginning to brush off the embarrassment of what just happened in the market.
"What kind of drink?" Spring blinked a bit confused and clearly naively, "I really enjoy cherry soda, but milk is good too."

| Roulette Roulette took the hoof offered to her, giving it a quick shake. Spring Shower, what an appropriate name. "Nice ta' meetcha, Spring." She took the hint that the pegasus didn't feel like further discussion on her little mistake, so Roulette just went with it. "I've visited once or twice, but I'm here to stay, now. I like it here. Its welcoming, you know? That, and the tavern's fantastic." She offered a chuckle. "I'm guessing you've never been. I'm talking about alcohol. You know, the stuff your parents drank and never let ya have, but they didn't know that you snuck some out when they accidentally left the cabinet door unlocked?" She stopped, realizing that she was just telling a personal story instead of actually explaining anything. "Ah.. nevermind. Wanna head there? Even if you won't drink, there's a pleasant atmosphere." | |

| "Then I'll be one of the first to welcome you to ponyville!" Spring Shower said enthusiastically, "We've normally got quite beautiful weather here, lots of sunshine!" she added, glancing down and to the side a little bit near the end of her sentence.
Spring tilted her head to the side as Roulette went on with her example, "Actually, no one in my family drank any sort of alchohol," she explained, "I've never tried the stuff." she smiled honestly.
"I don't have anything to do for the rest of the day," Spring said, "If you'd like to go the tavern I'd be more than happy to accompany you and maybe there will be somepony there I can introduce you to."

| Roulette Roulette threw Spring Shower a smile, please at what seemed like a promising afternoon. She might get to meet a few more ponies, and, to round things off nicely, get a chance to get a quick game in. Maybe cards, though she was up for anything. "Well, thanks for the warm welcome." She replied. "Let's go then, now I'm all ready for a good drink." She flapped her wings faster to get herself going, flying ahead a bit quicker than their previous pace. | |
