Soak up the Sun

Star Sapphire looked up at Blackfire. "Do you really forgive me?" She asked. She was blushing a lot now. "I'm sorry. I just jumped to conclusions." She said. Star like the feeling of Blackfire patting her on the back, and scooted up closer to him. She then smiled slightly. "Really? You made a mistake? I don't believe it." She said, with a slight hint of sarcasm n her voice.

"Yes I forgive you. Don't worry about it." Blackfire said, laughing at the circumstances.

"I remember that mistake, it haunts me to this day. It all started on a cold Tuesday, a few years ago. I had purchased an onion and an apple, one for a delicious vegetable sauce, the other for a sweet snack. Little did I know, I would mix up the two. I spent an entire day or so with sharp onion breath and tearful eye. Not my brightest moment." He retold gloomily, trying to make Star feel a bit better.

Star Sapphire started to laugh." That is a pretty big mistake. I could just imagine how you felt." She then patted Black fire on the back. "Oh poor Blackfire." She said, with a touch of sarcasm. She then looked over at him. "So, the fanciest restaurant in town?" She asked, "And what one would that's be exactly."

"I don't know, nor do I care about that anymore. Reminiscing about the onion story has embarrassed me and depressed me. Besides, I told you that you could choose our next activity." Blackfire said, wiping a fictuous tear from his eye.

"And quit laughing, it was a sad day for me." He added, raising his tone slightly.

Star stopped laughing. "I'm sorry to have hit a sore spot like that." She said, continuing to pat Blackfire on the back. "Well, I know of a restaurant. It isn't very big, but it is very fancy. How about I take you there for the soup?" She asked, smiling.

"Hmm, okay. But I'll have to advise you, I am willing to help pay if it's too expensive. But I'l take you up on that soup offer." Blackfire retorted, lowering his tone once more.

"Okay then, when do we head out? Later? What time? I need to shower, and get all this sand off of me." he said, patting some sand off his coat.

"Well that would be nice, but only if it gets too expensive." She said. "As for what time? I say later. Around 6. I have to shower, and style my mane." She said. Stat pulled out a pencil and pad of paper out of her bag. She scribbled down an address and ripped the page out of the pad. "Here is the address. Six o'clock sharp." She said, winking. She then gathered up her things, turned and left.

Blackfire took the paper, rolled it up and placed it in his jacket using his magic.

"I'll be there at 6 pm. In the meantime, I'll find a place to clean up and get some fancy duds." He said.

He waved to Star as she walked away and immediatly began to think.

"Where in Equestria am I gonna get a shower..." Blackfire thought to himself.
