Showstopper(With his trademark goatee)
(Clean-shaven)
Gender:Male
Species:Earth Pony
Mane: Concord Grape Purple with a streak of Maroon (dyed in)
Tail: Same colors (Maroon is still dyed in)
Eyes: Cinnamon
Body: Dark red
Cutie Mark: A flame
Age (Baby, adult): Adult (Late twenties in human years)
Personality: His primary personality could be summed up as "Jersey Shore regular". He is not a pleasant pony under pretty much all circumstances. He is a mares' stallion and has no qualms about hitting on them in public. He is quite lewd, not above making dirty jokes. He does have a kind side deep down... deep deep down... that tends to bubble just a little to the surface when he's around foals. Despite his size and general appearance, he's quite intelligent and pretty clever. Beneath the whole façade, however, is a stallion who is very socially awkward, who barely knows himself, and who is actually rather scared of the outside world. He suppresses that side of him as best he can.
Likes: Clubs, gyms, his model work, working out, his muscles, his appearance, mares, especially having one in each foreleg, beaches and surf, showing himself off, and delicious food.
Dislikes: Obnoxious ponies, EGH (Equine Growth Hormone) and other 'unnatural' means of bulking up, whiners, overcooked or otherwise nasty food, strawberries (They give him a wicked nasty gut ache every time) and bullying foals.
History: Showstopper was not always the ultra-masculine mountain of muscle that he now is. This 'sex symbol' (as he often refers to himself as when bragging) had rather humble beginnings. He was born to a lower-middle-class family in the suburbs of Manehattan. He was small and quite scrawny growing up, which led to him being constantly bullied during school. He was a 'late bloomer', getting his cutie mark quite a ways into his teenage years... not even a month or so after he hit a huge growth spurt. Even though he was still scrawny, he was tall, towering over pretty much all of the other ponies in his class. This, naturally, lead to a different type of teasing. Well, during his teenage years, his family was in a rough spot financially, so he tried finding a job to help support the family. He found work with a modeling agency, though he didn't do much... until he began to bulk up, frequently visiting gyms and spending a lot of time in his school's weight room. He found himself getting called upon to model for various clothing such as swimwear more often, and he, if you were to ask him about what his cutie mark means, would say that it "Means my talent is being hot~!" and would likely flex to back it up.
...Which is complete manure. It really represents the talent he discovered not long after he'd begun to bulk up; his skill in cooking. He helped his mother make up a meal for Hearth's Warming and found how easily the job came to him; after the meal was finished, his parents pointed out the flame mark on his flank. Of course, when he got more into the business, he had to keep that secret; after all, it wasn't really masculine to have that as a special talent, no? It isn't his only secret, of course; he keeps his softer side hidden, as well as his bisexuality.
As his fame grew, so did his ego; the earth pony fell more and more into the traps of fame and glory. He became very haughty and appearance-centered, nearly completely obsessed with looking good and being buff. He eventually left the city, heading towards another (Trottingham) to continue his modeling work; he hasn't spoken with his parents for several years now, though he keeps sending them a part of the pay he gets for his work.
Example RP segment: (I'll be doing two different ones here.)
4. Your OC is framed by a robber who plants his weapon on him/her. A Guardpony threatens to take your OC into custody. Given your OC’s personality, compose a brief narrative in which your OC identifies and addresses the situation.
"Well, this pretty much sucks." To say that Showstopper was irritated was the understatement of the century. When the Guard began interrogating him, he scowled and replied. "I'll make this as plain as I can." He took a moment to compose himself before saying, "Okay, chucklenuts; you think that I robbed that bank 'cause that weapon was found on me, right? I can tell you
right now that that's not true. For one, look at these!" The large earth pony flexed his upper-body muscles, putting a lot of emphasis on his forelegs. "Do I look like I'd
need something like that? For two, I'm a model; my reputation is my lifeblood in that industry.
Why would I risk my reputation like that?" Shaking his head, he walked away from the guard, saying "I rest my case."
5. A colt is bullying a filly in the Manehattan street. When your OC looks to him, he turns to your OC and snaps, "What're you looking at?" Given your OC’s personality, compose a brief narrative in which your OC identifies and addresses the situation.
When the colt snapped at Showstopper, the stallion walked up very close to the colt, showing the young stallion just how small he was compared to who he was talking to. "What am I lookin' at? I'm lookin' at a snot-nosed brat who thinks he's all that and bein' a bully. Kid, do you know what I do to bullies?" The colt, rather fearful now, shook his head 'no'. Showstopper leaned in and said "...They're still wipin' the last one out of the pavement from last time. Now. Go home and shape your sorry flank up, got it?" The colt ran off, quite a bit scared now. The stallion turned to the filly and said "You alright, little filly? I don't think he'll be bothering you anymore." He cracked her a smile before it turned into a huge grin. "If he does, tell'm that Showstopper's keeping his eye on 'im."
