Personality: Very quiet but fun loving, she is not shy but is not very talkative with ponies she doesn't know or mean ponies. Overall affectionate and caring towards her freinds. VERY protective of her drawings, to her they are like family. She often just sits around drawing all day. She is at her best mood when she can share her animations with people around her.

History: Rosethorn grew up in Manehattan. She was often isolated as none of the other fillies wanted to play with such a quiet pony. She drew and painted alone, but something was missing from her art. One day she was drawing in one of her school books. She started flipping through the pages and realized that if flipped fast enough her drawings seemed to move! She began to practice and slowly filled book after book with drawings. After receiving a harsh scolding, her Teacher explained to Rosethorn that what she was doing was called Animation. At that moment Rosethorn realized that Animation was her special talent. That day she earned her cutie mark.
After practicing a bit more, Rosethorn gathered her old school saddlebag, several hundred sheets of paper, and plenty of pencils. She told her parents that she would be leaving. Rosethorn wanted to find greener pastures, a place where she could be at peace and her creativity could thrive. At first she met with fierce opposition, but eventually her parent's yielded to her request. Rosethorn left her home and ventured into the world all alone.
After many tough years of wandering all over equestria in a nomadic lifestyle, Rosethorn decided to settle down. She found a beautiful forest right outside of Ponyville. This was the forest she had dreamt of all her life. Rosethorn decided that this would be the best place to finally call her home. She decided she would live in this forest.
