Personality: Thunder Bird is a pony who never seems to not have a smile on his face. He hates solitude, and can get bored easily. He is also a very determined pony. He won't easily give up on something he's focused on. Though he hates getting angry, he has a strong sense of justice, which can make him snap at anytime.
Likes: Flying, friends, music, sunsets, and the outside world. Playing piano and singing for his jazz carreer.
Dislikes: He hates being alone (as mentioned above), he hates over-serious ponies, snakes, and dubstep.
History:Thunder Bird was born in Cloudsdale with his mother, Songbird. And his father Sonic Boom. Thunder Bird was given his name by his father, who thought that his son would become the excellent flyer that his father was. However while Thunder Bird did become a good flyer, he chose his mother's path in life, and became a musician.
It took him a long time to earn his cutie mark, which resulted in being bullied by the other foals at school. However, Thunder Bird earned his cutie mark the day he decided to become a musician. One day, after playing at a friend's house, his mother was away. So Thunder Bird snuck into his mother's music room, finding so many instruments made his jaw drop in excitement. He tried the piano, just playing one note at a time. Until he made a little song out of it, which made him very happy. However being caught up in the moment, he didn't notice his mom walk in. She crept up behind him, jumping him. He stuttered to make up an excuse why he was in her room until she only said these words.
"Keep playing, that was very good." She said with a light smile. He continued playing, only to look down at his hind legs, noticing that his cute mark appeared. He jumped up in excitement, realizing that from now on his life was set. And so, he began playing piano and singing for school talent shows. He tried all sorts of genres, but the one he found stuck with him, was Jazz. So to this day, he's a solo jazz musician who plays for bits all around Equestria.
Example RP segment: (A colt is bullying a filly in the Manehattan street. When your OC looks to him, he turns to your OC and snaps, "What're you looking at?" Given your OC’s personality, compose a brief narrative in which your OC identifies and addresses the situation.)
Thunder Bird was walking down a Manehattan street after a concert, he heard a faint voice using a taunting tone.
"Oh! What's the matter? Little baby blank-flank's gonna' cry?" The colt said. He turned around the corner to see what was going on. He noticed a colt and filly, both about the same age. He could see tears welling up in the filly's eyes. He remembered when he was a colt and bullied to the point of tears because of not having a cutie mark. It made him sick to his stomach to see history repeating itself like this.
"Hey!" He barked at the colt, who quickly turned around with a smug look on his face. "Don't you know not to bully fillies like that?" Thunder bird gave an angry tone. The colt continued his mocking stare. Thunder Bird hated getting this angry, but he couldn't just stand and watch a sweet little filly get bullied like this.
"I don't care, who are you, my mother?" He retorted, giving a stupid giggle. Thunder Bird felt it slipping, it reminded him of the times his elders stood up for him when he got bullied. Thunder Bird gave the colt an even dirtier look.
"Look kid, just because she doesn't have a cutie mark, doesn't mean she should be bullied." He said, feeling his anger cool down. "Now I suggest you leave before you do something you'll regret." Thunder Bird said, as he saw the colt run around him and down the ally. The filly looked up at Thunderbird.
"Th-thanks mister..." She said shyly. Thunderbird gave her a light smile, similar to his mother's charming smile.
"No problem, I can't just watch as that sort of thing happens." He said, looking toward the sky, feeling a raindrop hit his head. "It's starting to rain, you should get home before your parents get worried." He suggested. She agreed, and walked home.
