All the time that we wasted

"Finally! Summer's here!" Thunder Bird shouted out, as he left the classroom. He galloped about the schoolyard. Excitement welled up inside of him. But he realized, he needed something to do. So he figured he would give Flame Disk a visit.

He saw Flame Disc's unmistakable red mane. "Hey, Flame!" He shouted at his friend, gesturing him to come closer.

Flame disk looked over at Thunder bird and walked over. "what is it?" he asked. "i need to get home soon. i just finished my new music studio and i want to make some new music."

"Awesome, I kind of need something to do, can I hang out with you?" Thunder Bird asked, he honestly didn't know what kind of music he was talking about, but just the fact that they could do music together excited him.

Flame disk smiled and nodded. "come on! we better get going pretty quickly. we want to get over to my house by dark, and it's fight by the everfree forest!" he said, trotting off towards the house.

"Yes!" Thunder Bird lighted up in joy. "This is going to be so awesome, I'm sooooo excited." He hyperactivity said, trotting next to Flame Disk. "So what kind of music are you doing?" He said, trotting beside his friend. He wasn't exactly prepared for the answer he was about to get.

"it's something that i call dance music. it's designed to not really have lyrics,but have steady beat the people can dane to." flame disk, looking at Thunder. "it kind of sounds unnatural, like something that wouldn't be made with a normal instrument."

This "Dance music" sounded really cool, he couldn't wait to hear it. "Something that a normal instrument wouldn't make." It sounded so alien, he couldn't wait to hear it. "That sounds so cool!" He said, as he became really, and really curious in fact. Mainly because he could name many instruments and knew their sounds very well, he couldn't imagine what it sounded like.

Flame disk grinned. "all right then! lets get going!" e said, starting to run towards the ever free forest.

The two friends arrived at the house, and brought themselves inside, and made their way into the studio. "Woah! This room is so cool!" It reminded him of his mom's recording studio, except no piano, or violin, or rather, pretty much none of the instruments that his mom owned. He began examining the strange objects in the room. He recognized a microphone, but that's about it.

Flame disk walked over to a table with a bunch of switches, buttons,and knobs. he used his magic to put on a pair of headphones and looked over at a drum set. "that the only normal instrument i use in songs. other than that, its all on this." he said, pointing to the tale that he was sitting at.

Finally, something he recognized, the whole room looked so futuristic. "So what do those...unusual instruments sound like?" His curiosity piqued, he could barely contain himself in excitement.

flame laughed and handed him the headphones. "why dont you listen? i have a song recorded already." he said, hitting the play button, and starting the music.

The moment the headphones came on, and a very strange, violin-esque sound began. Then came a high pitched... he couldn't even describe what it sounded like. He almost instantly fell in love with the sounds. "Wow... this sounds so cool!" He took the headphones off so he could hear himself speak, only to put them back on.

flame smiled and looked over at the rest of the studio. "it's harder than it seems to make it." he said, sighing. "it's really tiring."

After listening to the song his friend has made. Thunder Bird looked all over the studio, poking at pretty much everything there, he saw a keyboard propped up on a stand. He knew how to play it, so he turned it on. "Check this out!" He hit a key, it was set to the "Grand Piano" setting, and he began messing around with the keys until he made up a little song out of it. (This song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTmMYK6wk7Q)

Flame looked over at Thunder and smiled. "sounds really cool, thunder!" he said, walking over. he looked over at the microphone next to it, then walked over to the recording part of the studio and hit "record all" on the control deck.

Thunder Bird waited for Flame Disk's cue, and he began playing, he even made up some lyrics for it. He finished, and heard it played back. He was mesmerized that his performance was recorded like this. He never knew there was even technology for this.

Flame disk laughed a little. "surprised?" he asked. he knew that most people didn't know that this kind of stuff even existed, but most musicians knew about it, but even fewer could actually get it. He started to look through the lists of recorded songs, at times muttering to himself.

"Of course I'm surprised! I didn't even know half that stuff existed!" He said surprised. He looked at the list of recorded songs. He had quite a lot of music on there. "Wow! That's a lot of music!" He said excitedly.

Flame shrugged and switched on a song. he listened to it and sat down, nodding his head to the music.
