The Strange Time Pony

The strange brown pony trotting into Ponyville looking at big houses and new faces. The other ponies looked at his strange clothes and already knew he was not from their quaint little town. After a rather long journey his stomach rumbled with hunger he walked to an applecart looking at the red juicy fruits. He picked one up sniffed and put it close to his hears. The cart owner gave him the oddest look this pony was a total nut case, "Umm.....may I help you sir?" The cart owner asked, Time Prime looked up it seemed like he didn't even notice the owner was there to begin with. "Ah yes I would like to buy your fine apple, upon closer inspection I can see they are very delicious" The owner was still unsure about this odd pony but just shrugged as he received his payment, "You talk to apples?" The owner asked jokingly with a grin on his face. "Why yes, I do I mean you can't sell good apples if you don't listen to them. What kind of apple merchant are you?" He said walking off taking a bite of the red apple. "Well that was a rather good lunch and just about 0.75784 seconds early." He said looking at his silver pocket watch as he placed back in brown coat pocket. "I was sure I supposed to do something around here......Oh well it is gone now. I wonder if there is anything to do here."

Sweet Dreams walked into the middle of town stopping at the stone fountain and looked around smiling. "This looks like a good spot" She reached into her saddle bag pulling out an old worn fedora and places it on the ground as she starts her performance. While Sweets starts to sing a song about how love was found one Hearth's Warming Eve. Her horn lights up as transparent ponies appear beside her and start acting out the story causing ponies to stop and watch.

Time Prime cleaned dried himself up, he was a little embarrassed by the whole thing but as he looked around everyone's attention was focused on some other pony. A large crowd had gathered around the square. "Hmm I wonder what all the hullaballo is all about" Tim tried looking over the crowd but there were simply too many ponies he squeezed on through finding himself on the other side of crowd, watching a unicorn display an amazing spell. "Well I be this is just lovely."

Sweets finishes her song as she and her creations bow to the crowd before they disappear and the ponies in the crowd start to leave as she collects her hat and sees only a hoofful of bits inside "I guess not everypony like a good story...." She starts making her way back to her saddle bags when she trips over a lose stone causing her to fall and scatter her hardly earned bits everywhere "Now look at what I’ve done...this always happens"

TimePrime rushes to her side helping her pick out the stones, "That was amazing performance of the Hearth's Warming Eve ceremony." He said putting the bits back into the hat, "I don't think I have ever seen a performance like that." Time Prime said with a big smile on his face, "Oh wait never mind I saw a performance at the Royal Galloping Galla." He said in excited tone as he began to go off in tangent about the rather numerous plays and musicals he had seen. "So in short I guess my previous statement was false I have seen performances, but it is true I never seen one like yours truly spectacular." This pony was sure to have had a few loose screws. "Say what is your name? And are you from around here, if so how long have you lived here. How's the weather oh and the food, what do you ponies do here do you like it here?" He asked the most trivial questions about petty things. Something was off about this one.

"W-Well thanks...I think" She dusted herself off as she listens to this pony before answering his few questions "Well my name is Sweet Dreams but you can call me Sweets if you like and no I don’t live here I’ve only been here about a day or two but I’m thinking of sticking around as for the weather I hear its mostly sunny on most days but for food I’m not sure have not really had the chance to eat anything yet" Sweets wonders why she is even talking to this strange pony sure he seemed nice enough but she kind of wondered why she had not just sneak away from him like she did whenever somepony talks to her it was almost like something was making her stay causing her to talk to this very strange pony maybe it was because he was so strange. "So um...What’s your name?”

"Sweet Dreams that is a fantastic name. Well actually it is rather strange unless you dream about sweets or maybe your dreams are just very sweet implying they are nice?" He rubbed his chin trying to figure out her cutie mark without looking at it. "Is your special talent dreams? Or sweets or sweet based dreams???" He got only more excited as he figured she was also a newcomer in town, "Well I suppose we have that in common I am also new, I was supposed to be doing something but I can't remember it now." Time Prime shrugged it off whether or not it was important he didn't mind every problem thrown at him he usually solved. "Oh my name is Time Prime.....or Tim that is what the other ponies from Canterlot called me. I don't see relations between the two names. Maybe it something from my past then again I don't remember anything from my past." He said with a big smile on his face.

Sweets blushed after hearing him say her name was strange and stared down at her hooves when he started asking about her special talent "I...I dont got one..." She listens to him as he introduces himself and smiles at him"its nice to meet you"

"Oh do you not have cutie mark yet?" He said tilting his head, as he put the last coin in her hat. Time looked over at SweetDreams to where her cutiemark should be located. "Well guess that you really don't have one. That is amazing!" Tim said with an eager tone, "You are the first grown pony I have ever seen without a cutie mark......I think the only one." Time Prime was filled with thoughts about what Sweet's cutiemark would be like and what pony she would be. His watch started ticking as an alarm went off, "OH NO I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT!!" he began to panic a little, "I am sorry but I have to go to the library I promised the Princess I would find her a book here.....Now the library is about to close. Even if I run in time I don't think I will make it" He said in a rather disappointed tone, but it soon changed, "Wait you are Unicorn do you know any teleportation spells?"

Sweets blushed even more as he talked about the lack of her cutie mark "I’m sorry but my magic isn’t that strong....but I do know a short cut" After grabbing her hat full of bits she started to run down an alley between two buildings as she yelled back for him to follow her and to keep up.

He suddenly saw the pony run off, "Oh wait for me!" he said trying to catch up with her. He put his watch away, "Hopefully I can make it in time can't let down the Princess, this research can really benefit all of Equestria." He said to himself in a whisper

Sweets runs turns a corner a minute or to later panting slightly "S-See told you i knew a short cut" She had stoped infront of the library. She turns around to see if the strange pony had followed her.

He caught up to SweetDreams as he gazed around spotting the library as he ran towards the wooden he saw the closed sign turned over. Tim looked down at the ground, "I can't believe it I am too late." He said sadly kicking some dirt, "I can't believe I got distracted so easily again." Tim was upset with himself obviously he wasn't quite ready for such tasks he though. Just then the librarian came out from the back door. Time Prime's frown soon turned around. He pleaded with her and said he was on a job on behalf of the Princess. As he entered the store he signaled his hoof asking if Sweetdreams would like to come in. "You really helped me out I know it is a lot to ask but could you help me some more you see I am looking for a powerful book of strange magic. It is a lot of ground to cover this late at night for just one pony I would be grateful for you and your magic's help." He asked kindly.

Sweets had started to walk away when she had heard Tim ask for her help "W-Well i guess i mean im not sure how much help ill be but ill try..." She followed Tim inside.

"Well you are a unicorn aren't you?" He said smiling as he pointed to her horn, "A very talented one at that. I might need some assistance understanding exactly the outcome of these spells, if I am to decide if they are the right ones." Time Turner spoke as he entered the rather large library filled with rows rows of book shelves stretching from wall to wall with hundreds of books on various topics from Equestria's early origins to its recipes for incredible apple pies. "Hmm doesn't look too bad it shouldn't take very long." Tim said confidently as he began his search through the vast topics of the library. "Miss Sweet if you find any book with a hourglass on its cover or something related to that please bring it to me that is the book I am looking for." He said winking at her. "Now let us get to work shall we."

Time to had just kept on passing on with no result on the search the two ponies must have had turned the whole library upside down and no luck. Time Turner sighed, disappointed with the results. "I thought for sure it would be here...." He put his head down as he sat under a tower of books.

Sweets poped her head out of a pile of spell books "Im sorry we couldnt find what you were looking for..." Struggled to climb over the books with no sussces "um...could you give me a hoof please?" She look at him with a shy smile.

Tim smiled as the unicorn struggled to get out from under the pile books. "Sure no problem" he reached out grabbing her hoof and pulling. It was hard but finally he got her out but his force was too strong and knocked a book shelf down creating a domino effect in the whole library. In blink of an eye the whole library floor was covered in avalanche of books. Time Turner popped his head out from a under a particularly heavy book, "Miss Sweet! Where are you?!?! Are you alright?" Tim begin to dig around the books until he could find her.

Sweets poped her head out of a pile of childrens books seeing stars for a momment untill shes shook her head to clear them and nods ruubing her horn "i...i think so...just hit my horn kinda hard is all" She was able to climb out of the pile this time and looks around "oh dear look at this mess..."

"Thank goodness you are alright...." He said with an optimistic smile, "Yes....looks like our search was with out any results...." Time Turner stopped as he saw the book which had hit Sweet Dreams on the horn. Right next to her was a heavy burgandy book with an hourglass on it. "Miss Sweet! You found it!" He grabbed the book from next to her and helped her up, "You truly are one of the best assistants I have ever had. I knew we could do it" He opened the book as dust came out. "Well it seems like no one has used it in a very long time just our luck too." He put the heave book on his satchel pocket, "Now it just a matter of figuring out the spell and it should work just fine by calculations" He began to speak softly to himself reciting many complex numbers and nonsense which would sound gibberish to others.

Sweets blushed as he spoke "I really didnt do anything...honest" She followed Time as he walk out the library "U-Um what spell do you need me for exactly?" She nearly bumped into him as he suddenly stops right infront of her.

Sunny Days watched the two mysterious ponies come out of the library. Being the curious reporter she was, questions started filling in her head.
Who were they?
What was that book?
Why did that mare not have her cutie mark?
She yearned to ask these to them, but she didn't want to be too intrusive.
On the other hand, this story might help out her job as a writer for the Ponyville newspaper.
Sunny sighed. The life of a reporter was a difficult one.
"I just need to ask them a few simple questions, and I'll be out of their life," she said out loud.
But Sunny new she wouldn't.
These ponies were just TOO interesting.
Their would probably be a series of articles about these two strange ponies.
Because so far, this was probably the most interesting thing that's happened since she moved to Ponyville.
She boldly walked toward the two ponies with her green mane falling out of her bun.
"Hi, I'm Sunny Days, newspaper article author," she says as she outstretched her hoof.
"May I ask you too a few questions?"

Time Turner smiled as he wanted the spell to a surprise holding some incredible suspense. Tim then saw the reporter approach them. "Newspaper? Ah I see you are a reporter I believe I read some of your articles before" He shook her hoof, I am a big fan. Time Turner said laughing, "A few questions? hmm you are looking for a story? Sure why not but you will have to accompany us you see we are in a bit of a hurry I hope you don't mind keeping up" Time Turner had a big smile on his face as though he knew something that could change all their lives.

Sweets jumped and looked around to see a mare walkking over "O-oh um hello..." It seemed that she was meeting alot of poines today...wait...did she say she was with the newspaper?! "U-Um im sorry i just remembered i have to go to an appointment...." She goes to run off.
