| Gust lead Jim and the mare up to the tavern. Gust was making idle conversation to the other two, but jim wasnt really listening. Ponies were walking to and from the direction of the place, with the "from" ponies walking with considerably greater difficulty. Evening was starting to creep up on them, and Jim found hindelf wondering as to what time celestia and Luna switch posts. The tavern was up an incline, and Jim was already rather knackered from the journey over, and was starting to really crave that McEwan's. He wasn't much of a drinker but he could still hold a few beers. They came onto the porch if the tavern. It was rather old fashioned, and clearly had an old fashioned theme around the place. Jim thought he could hear yelling and shouting in there, with crashing things breaking. Something told Jim he would be needed to fix up the participants afterwards. | |

| "Haha, there it is!"
Gust gave a large smile as the tavern that he had been leading the other two ponies to became visible. He could taste that whiskey already. Looking to Jim, he was about to comment on the appearance of the establishment, but noted that the Pegasus was slowing down at a slow rate as they approached the tavern. The Unicorn hadn't been able to notice it before, but now that he looked closer, he could see that his new acquaintance looked quite weary, as a pony would appear after a long journey, or a hard day of work.
"Hey, come on, Jimmy. Don't hold up, you'll feel much better with some alcohol in you!"

| Mirage trotted behind them, a good few hooves behind. With the dark sunglasses, it was hard for her to really see. It took her a few seconds to realize that the green pegasus in front of her was beginning to slow down as they neared the so-called 'tavern'. She nearly bumped into him, narrowly side-stepping to avoid collision. "Oh sorry about that- Umm... Uh... Wait, what was your name again? Jim? Jimmy?"
It was then she realized she hadn't even had proper introductions with these two. How improper, to trot around with companions without even knowing their own names! "Oh, you two never gave me your names. You can call me Mirage."

| "Oh, you never gave me your names. You can call me mirage." Said the mare. They were at the door of the tavern, the crashing getting louder. He turned to mirage "My name's Jim, and this I'd gust. I know my name isn't exactly very ponylike but I can't choose what my parents called me." He opened the door of the tavern, and noticed everything seemed strangely fine. He wondered if he had actually heard the crashing, then he realised he could. It was his head pounding. He was in serious need of a drink. He walked up to the bar and said "A pint of McEwan's love." | |

| "Oh, you two never gave me your names. You can call me Mirage."
Gust thought back to when the trio had met as they approached their destination tavern. "Huh. Really? I thought we already introduced ourselves... Well, nice to meet you then Mirage, even that greeting is a bit late."
"My name's Jim, and this is Gust. I know my name isn't exactly very ponylike but I can't choose what my parents called me."
"Ah, don't you worry about your name. Actions matter more than titles. Well, unless you get a title through action, but...ah, whatever."
At that point the three ponies had reached the tavern entrance. Jim lead the way through the entrance and headed straight for the bar, his two companions following close behind.
"A pint of McEwan's love."
"And I shall have one serving of Everfree Elixir!"

| "My name's Jim, and this I'd gust. I know my name isn't exactly very ponylike but I can't choose what my parents called me."
"It's a wonderful name." Mirage commented as they entered the Tavern. It had an odd, old atmosphere around it, from its old wooden furniture to the smell of alcohol. It was new, but the mare didn't seem to mind. Except for maybe the smell of alcohol, but it was to be expected. There were surprisingly not many ponies around, just a number sharing drinks and staying with their companions.
The bartender came along, taking their orders. "I'll just have a glass of hot water." Mirage replied, taking out a small tea bag that contained a few oddly purple contents. The bartender gave an odd stare, which the white mare grinned sheepishly. The bartender left, fetching the items needed to create their orders. Mirage received her glass early, seeing how it was only heated water. A light white steam rolled off the liquid, before having the odd teabag submerged into it. Taking a spoon, the white mare carefully stirred it until the cup was filled with a dark purple liquid.
'Alright Mirage, you can do this. The gypsy said it had to be drank while hot so it would be bitter, but you've tried TONS of brews before. A little tea can't be any different.' White hooves brought the glass to the mare's mouth, a small amount of the purple liquid seeping in. "Urp!" She nearly gagged, but forced the drink down. It was utterly disgusting. The drink tasted like nothing she'd ever tried, and nothing she'd ever want to try again. The temperature nearly burned her tongue.

| As he was being served, Jim looked over at mirage. She was pouring herself some tea, but didn't seem to be enjoying it too much. Now that he thought about it, who drank tea at full temperature, boiling hot water? Whatever. Must have just been her thing- mabye that was just what people around here did. He took his drink, thanked the bartender and took a seat. Sipping the McEwan's was already giving him some strength. Now that his head was a little clearer, he started to plan what to do. He first needed a home- he thought gust mentioned an apartment somewhere. That would probably be his best shot- a trainee doctor doesn't earn that much. Secondly, he had to meet the local doctor- he'd probably do that tomorrow.
Gust say down next to him, and Jim felt he needed to thank the pony who had been so welcoming to him. "Thanks for this, mate. A train here from trottingham takes a lot out of you. See, I came here to train with the doctor. I know I'm meant to do it- my cutie mark tells me so. Come to think of it, what do you do for a living? You don't seem the type to work in an office or anything like that."

| Gust sat down with his two new friends once the trio's orders had been made. Mirage and Jim got their orders first, while the Unicorn's Everfree took slightly longer to acquire, seeing as it wasn't a commonly ordered beverage. As he waited for his drink to arrive, the stallion watched Mirage make her tea using the hot water that was given, noting that she did so with a very somber expression, as if she was only doing so because she had to. The scene became even stranger when she drank the tea she made, as she almost gagged on the same drink that she had just created, whether it was from the taste or the temperature Gust could not tell.
"Hey, you sure you got the right mixture there?"
Only a second after he said this, the bartender came back to the trio once again in order to drop off Gust's drink. Soon after that, Jim, who was sitting next to the stallion, spoke to him.
"Thanks for this, mate. A train here from trottingham takes a lot out of you. See, I came here to train with the doctor. I know I'm meant to do it- my cutie mark tells me so. Come to think of it, what do you do for a living? You don't seem the type to work in an office or anything like that."
"Hey, no problem. No need thank me. And as for what I do, I'm a DJ and electronic music producer. Might'a heard of me. DJ Rainbass?" Gust said all this with quite a large sense of pride, as he always did whenever he talked of his occupation.

| (Right, I guess just to make this official I need to post that this thread is scrapped. Nocive hadn't been on in weeks so I'm going to assume she's left. Consider this that Jim had a drink with gust and then mirage left, so they just chatted a bit then Jim stayed in a hotel a few days before getting an apartment.) | |
