Fallout:Project Silly Smiles

The Equestrian Wasteland a once beautiful place now turned into a deadly wasteland from war and hatred even now after 200 years the land is as deadly as ever everything from giant Radscopians to crazed ponies Raiders out to get you most ponies have learned to survive this new world but what about a little filly who has always known ponies to be kind and caring and nothing like the death crazed raiders or one that has never even heard of a Radscopian , how would she survive?

The collapsing research center stood dark, if one were to venture inside they would be met with rooms filled with pods. Hibernation Pods meant to hold ponies something Stable Tech had been working on right before the bombs had fallen. But all these pods were dark most broken over time the few that had actually held some ponies had loss power over the centuries. The building was deadly silent....well almost silent a soft beeping was coming from a small pod in the corner of the last room covered with grime and dust. Inside this dust covered pod was a small yellow filly with a green bow in her mane, still alive but in a deep hibernation waiting for somepony to come wake her, she had waited 200 years already how much longer would she have to wait?

Who would've guessed a beautiful place like Equestria would be torn apart like this? Filled with death, anger, and Celestia knows what else. It's a wonder somepony like Red Harvest is still alive. He's been through a lot during the Apocalypse. From radiation, to poison, to near death, to brutal, deadly scenes. It was also amazing how he kept his sanity together. And how he could still be so nice to everypony. He survived as a Scavenger. Searching abandoned buildings for food and supplies. He would sometimes run across a base of Raiders. Sadly, he would have to kill them, but never has he once enjoyed killing another pony. Or anything, for that matter

When Red saw an abandoned research center, he thought there'd had to be something in there. He made his way inside, and saw a bunch of dusty, empty pods. From across the room, he was one beeping. He looked inside and to his surprise, saw a live filly. Clearly, she had no idea about any of this. But he opened the pod, hoping she wouldn't panic when she stepped out

Bright Sides opened her eyes slowly and rubs them. "Mama that you?" She said half asleep still squinting and putting her glasses on she realized that this wasnt her mama after all in fact this pony wasnt even a mare but a stallion,A rather dirty stallion at that. "opps sorry Mr. pony i thought you were my Mama for a second my bad!" She grinned "Hi! My name is Bright Sides! But you can call me Sunny do you wanna be my friend!?"

This was more strange than a lot of things Red's encountered. And that's really saying something. "Um, I'm sorry, missy. I'm far from your mother. And I think your mother is far from here." Red liked this filly, Bright Sides. She is a lot like him. Happy, nice, but that may change. "Sure, I'll be your friend. My name is Red Harvest" This was the nicest thing he's seen in months. Maybe years.

He was quickly put into a sad mood, thinking about how Bright would feel about what happened. "Bright Sides, was it? I'm very sorry, but I need to talk to you about something..... You see, a lot of things have changed. The Equestria you once knew and loved has changed entirely. Crazed ponies are running around stealing from each other, radiation poisoning ponies like me, horrific creatures, and much worse." Red felt bad, having to break the news to such a sweet and innocent little Filly

Rez sitting on a hilltop looking through his scope of his rifle start to think of how beautifully green with a rainbow of other colors and is now a waste land with ponys stealing from one another and radiation pools every few feet from each other. he starts to look around with his scope and notices a pony in the distance. He decides to zoom in and sees that he was headed to an abandoned research center. Rez starts to think should he follow or not? he decides to not but does head on in to atleast check things out and maybe find some ammo.

Sunny looked up and smiled at him not a sad smile but an actual smile " It doesnt sound much diffrent well...r-rad...r-radat...radiation might be....whats radiation?" She had trouble saying the word but tried to saying the word so she sounded it out just like her mama told her to do with big words "And call me Sunny S-U-N-N-Y all my friends do!" She booped Red's nose as she said each letter and thought about something. "Now ill have to find Mama AND Daddy?...hmmm oh well like Daddy always says" "she tries to make her voice deeper "You got to look on the bright side of things Sunshine!" She gives red one of her Super Happy Silly Grins

Red wished she could be like this filly again. So happy and innocent, without a care in the world. "Well, Sunny, radiation is something that you should never touch. It could do some REALLY bad things to your body, and possibly your brain. And I can surely tell you that things are MUCH different. I don't want to tell you though. It's..... bad."

Oh no, she brought up parents. This one was gonna be tough. "You know, why don't you stick with me for a while? Maybe we'll find your parents on our 'Adventure.' I'm sure they'll come up" He knew for a fact there was no trace of them. Let's hope they died when this all started, and didn't have to live through this.

Rez entered what seemed to be the security office that looked more like an armory. "what, were they planing that pony s were going to invade a reaserch center?" He thought picking ammo and a new pistol. Rez looked around and wondered what happened noticing that guns were scattered everywher. Rez turned around and notived a pony behnd him. Rez pulled up his rifle and asked" who are you?" The pony didn't reply. Then he suddenly jumped at rez with a nife. Rez without hezitation shot and saw the round pass through the pony. " DAng why did he attack if he would have left he would still be alive." Rez said looking at whhat used to be the pony.

Sunny Days looked outside from the abandoned house she was taking shelter in.
"Another beautiful day in paradise," she joked sarcastically.
Equestria was now far from paradise.
She took a bite of the biscuit she had been saving.
Food was running low.
Taking her sack full of food, she headed out. It was dangerous to stay in the same place for to long.
Then the Raiders would get you.
Sunny Days hoped she would run into some more survivors.
Maybe they could help her out with food.

She squeed up at Red Harvest when he said the word 'Adventure.' "Oh I Love love LOVE adventures they are so fun! one time me and my friend-" Before she could tell Red of her past adventures there was a loud BANG! that echoed throughout the building causing Sunny to run and hide underneath him. "W-What was that i-it was really loud..." She said as she shakes beneath his hooves.

Red Harvest was shocked at the random gunshot he heard. He let Sunny hide under him as he said: "Don't worry. With what's happened, you'll hear a lot of those" Red pulled out a .44 Revolver and went to investigate the noise. Approaching the armory, where he heard the noise come from, he knocked on the wall, letting whatever pony was inside he was coming.

"Hello? I heard gunshots. Everything ok in here?" He kept his revolver out, wanting to be safe in case it was a Raider or something worse who shot that. As he walked inside, he tripped over a dead body and looked up at Rez. "I'm gonna guess you did that?Please don't hurt me...."

Sunny followed Red close not wanting to get lost while they walked she started to try and think of how she ha d gotten in the pod in the first place, but was snaped out of it when Red started talking to another pony. "U-Um...Hi?"

"its safe. you can come in the only reason why i shot him is because he attacked me. i dont tend to kill ponys unless i have to." he said to the older pony." hi little one im not going to hurt you i just came here to get supplies. I'm Rez whats your name?" He asked the filly.

Sunny Days continued on her journey to a safe place.
Well, a safer place.
Suddenly shears a gunshot from afar.
Stealthily approaching the area where she heard the gun fire, she realized it came from the armory.
Sunny Days takes out her knife from her bag before storming in.
Knife at hoof, she entered the armory.
Inside she found a dead pony, to stallions, and a little philly.
She stood there for a moment or two, wondering what just happened.
Realizing she posed as a threat because she was holding a knife, she threw it to the ground.
Finally, some sane reasonable ponies.

Sweets hid beneath Red Harvest more when another pony, this time a mare ran inside normally she would be bouncing around trying to make friends with these ponies like she had with Red but the cold darkness of this place was slowly draining her happiness....something was wrong, VERY wrong
"Mr Red....I think we should go...i don’t like it here something feels...bad..." She rocked on her hooves looking around the room like at any second something horrible would jump out at them.

Red gave Sunny a hug, to hopefully relieve her of her stress in this place. "It's ok. Mr. Red is going to solve this" He didn't really like the appeal of Mr. Red, but why correct her right now? She was already freaking out.

He looked over at Rez. "He attacked you? Did you do something to him?" He pretty much knew the pony he shot was guilty and attack for no reason. But he wanted to be sure, and maybe ease things up. "Say, have you seen any .44 rounds in here? I think I may run dry soon." Red was starting to get freally worried about Sunny having to see all this, then he turned to the pony with the knife.

Luckily, she dropped it. "I see you're no threat, ma'am. So now we have a party going on with a Scavenger, which is me, A Recon guy, a random mare, and a terrified filly in an Armory. Yeah, that about sums it up"

"I didn't find any 44 rounds but I have extras." Hea said handing red the rounds. "I think the other pony wanted to take my stuff when he attacked. "Its best we get out of here because if there is always more then one pony theif in one place.." "What's your name mam?" Rez asked looking at the mare.

"My name's Sunny Days, but I see you've already got a little Sunny here," looking at the adorable little philly.
"Just call me Days I guess," Sunny Days tells the others.
"Is anyone hurt? I have a first aid kit in my bag," she offers.
"I came just north of here and it was filled with Raiders, if we're going to head out it would be best not to go there," she says.

"Hm, hm, hm hm hm hm hm... Hm? Hm."

Quickshot choked his guitar when he saw a pony out in the distance exiting one of the collapsing houses in the area. The Pegasus squinted at the shape, but when he did so he still couldn't make out anything more than a dark figure. The pony pushed his guitar back to its place, strapped to the stallion's side, and then reached back to unhitch the scope from his trusted sniper rifle that was strapped to his back. He put the attachment up to his eye, and looked once more at the unknown figure, zooming in the scope one level.

A mare. Don't look like a ghoul. Nor a raider or slaver, either. Might be friendly. Quickshot attached his scope back onto the rifle on his back, and then proceeded to continue onward, swinging his guitar to its previous position and strumming it calmly while singing a slow song.

Bang!

Quickshot choked his guitar once more. Oh look. Gunshots. Cool. The Pegasus sighed, strapping his guitar even more tightly to his side and taking his rifle off of his back. He made sure that the large rifle still contained ammunition since the last time he had used it as he watched the mare from earlier run towards a derelict facility located nearby. Content with his rifle's current amount of held ammunition, the stallion lifted himself up off the ground with his wings, and then began to hover over to the same building at a steady rate, keeping wary of any signs of danger.

Sunny sneaks away back towards her pod when no pony was looking and sat down staring at it :How long was i asleep for...Mr Red Said everything had changed..but how much really?" She noticed a small door on the side of the pod,opening it caused a cloud of dust to come out making her cough slighly she looked inside and sees a dust covered saddle bag."My staddle bag?...why are they so dusty?" She pulls them out dustes them off and looks through them see pulls out a slighly faded picture.

Red took his bullets from Rez. "Thank you, sir." Red noticed the filly, Sunny, was sneaking out and back to her pod. This worried him a bit. "I'm sorry. Gotta look out for the young one" He quickly ran back to her and saw her taking her saddle bag. "Everything ok Sunny?"

He slowly approached her, patting her on the shoulder. "Look... It hurts to see a foal like you saddened. But I'm sure you're wondering what happened. I'll tell you, it's twisted what's happened. But I can't hide it from you forever. Brace yourself" Red took Sunny to the door, and opened it slowly, to reveal the Equestrian Wasteland. Filled with death, violence, betrayal, hatred, radiation, and abominations. "This is what I was talking about. Things have changed. Drastically I'm just sorry you had to live to see this...."

" we are all sorry but all of this is what used to be peacefull equestria. But now theifs slavers and all the bad ponys turned it into a battlefeild." he said looking around to make sure its safe. "We really need to get moving because i hear more ponys coming and we probably dont want to be here when they get here." Rez said listening to about 6 pony hooves heading their way.

Sunny Days picked up her knife.
She heard the hoofsteps too.
Sunny Days looked at Red and the philly.
"You need to be very silent," she said to the foal.
She looked over at Red.
"Get out your gun," she said to him.

Quickshot instantly dropped to the ground in a prone position, careful not to damage his guitar in the process, when he saw one of the facility's doors open, one which was facing him. If something bad was happening in the building, surprise would do much to help him deal with the situation. The Pegasus's coat color and rifle camouflage should have been able to easily hide the stallion from view at that distance, though he still found himself hoping that whoever had opened the door didn't have sharp eyes.

Looking through his rifle scope, Quickshot was able to discern two ponies standing at the entrance of the large facility, one a small filly, and the other looking to be a grown stallion. Well, raiders don't have kids... Slavers don't often have children, either. Must mean they're friendly, unless that filly is in trouble. Then that'd be bad. From the way that the two ponies responded to something that came from inside the building, Quickshot could also tell that there were more ponies inside.

After a moment of thought, the Pegasus decided to bide his time and see what happened. He strayed his scope away from the two ponies' lines of vision to make sure that glare from his rifle optic didn't reveal his position, and then continued to keep an eye out for any action that might reveal to him what exactly was happening.

Sunny looked up at Red Harvest and out into the wasteland "i guess most ponies arnt very happy then huh?" she thinks a for a few minutes while she looked at her faded picture of her family having a picnic in the sunny green Ponyville park "Well i guess ill have to teach these ponies to smile again right Mr Red?" She looked back out at the wastes with a silly smile on her face.
