Star crossed

Silver and company were at the tavern checking on a broken distillery "Hmm..." Silver said to himself "How high is your repair skill?" He asked Crimson.

Crimson chuckled, blushing a bit. "Eh... 'Aven't repaired anythin' in my life." Crimson thought about ordering something, but then the term 'with what money' came to mind. He sighed as he sat on a Tavern chair. "To be honest, most a' my skills revolve around fire," said Crimson.

It was a boring day for Lunar. The book she wanted on Astronomy was taken, and she had nothing to do until the sun set. that won't happen for awhile either. might as well go to a tavern right? There's always a good time at the tavern! prancing happily into the tavern, she fails to notice a puddle of liquid.

Lunar being... well, Lunar, She slips and slides across the floor and ends up slamming into the far wall. "ooowww" She says to herself with a slight giggle. lying on the ground she looks up at her horn to find it's stuck in the wall. Breaking out into a fit of laughter, she pushes on the wall in her attempts to get it unstuck.

Realizing there's other ponies around, she looks over as best she can and waves at the two. "Hehehe, Hi! My name is Lunar Star, and I appear to be stuck." Lunar couldn't help but break out laughing again as she heard what she said. She imagined she was quite the interesting scene at the moment.

"Maybe we could use that fire magic to weld something but I wouldn't know what to weld. Plus it probably wouldn't be smart to use fire when there is alcohol everywhere." Silver looked down at the stuck Mare. He chuckled and walked over to her "Here I'll help you out." He reached out his hoof to her "Grab my hoof and ill try to pull you out."

Crimson saw the mare, then immediately put his hoof in front of Silver. "Nah, I've got this," said Crimson, trying to sound heroic, levitating the mare free. "'Ey hottie. My names Crimson! Crimson Inferno! I 'aven't seen a mare cuter 'dan yous before!" Crimson put a confident smile on, pouncing up and down happily, trying to get this new mare's attention.

"I can try gettin' reservations fer' two," said Crimson.

wrapping her hoof around the first stallion's hoof, she pulls again in an attempt to get free. but before she knew it, she was surrounded by the tell-tale glow of a unicorn's magic. floating free from the wall, she stares at the red stallion as she waited for him to finish. pausing slightly in complete silence, she processes what he said in that strange accent she had personally never heard before.

Realizing exactly what he was saying, Lunar opens her mouth to speak and...

bursts out laughing. "It's so cheesy! Hahaha!" Lunar rarely processed what she says for long. she's always been the type to just talk and laugh without having to put effort into it.

Silver snickered at Lunar's comment "So anyways, would you happen to know where we can get a skill book so we can fix the distillery. Otherwise their won't be any refreshments for a while."

At first, Crimson thought the mare was talking about his choice of words. "Oh, uhm... I know! Did it hurt? Y'know when ya' fell from heaven?" Crimson tried being clever this time. This time, he tried getting closer to mare and sounding suave. "'Dink of it. Jus' you an' me. In a sunset... Togetha'. Whaddya' say?" Crimson tried giving off puppy-dog eyes to increase his chances.

Lunar couldn't help but fall over laughing, clutching her sides. The sayings were truly corny. sitting back up and wiping a tear away from her eye, she regains enough of her composure to remember the 'Canterlot manners' her mom always got on her about. "The library might have some. I just came from there!" She said happily, almost bouncing on her hooves.

" I never got your name." She said, looking at the light grey stallion.

He put his hoof to his chest "My name is silver eage: adventurer, anarchist philosopher, and agorist." He said proudly.

Crimson dropped his head. This time he tried speak more formally, thinking this pony my be the 'hoity toity' type. He grabbed her hoof, trying to sound as suave as possible. He cleared his throat. "Please m'lady, would you go on a romantic date wit' me," asked Crimson, hoping that would work. He thought if this didn't work, nothing would. "My name's Crimson Inferno, and you ma' dear could make me one happy stallion," added Crimson. He finished it off with a big smile, hoping that this attempt would work out better than his previous ones. "Please work," he said in his head.

Completely foregoing the whole 'Canterlot Manners' thing, she grabs his hoof and shakes it violently. "Pleased to meet you Silver! I already said my name, but for the sake of being polite, My name is Lunar Star!" She finished, her voice being a little louder than probably would be recommended. Covering her mouth with a hoof, she looks around. "Whoops, hehe."

looking over at Crimson, Lunar blushes a little while giggling quietly. "Thank you, Crimson. but I'm not the romantic type!" She said while wearing her usual wide grin. It is genuinely hard for Lunar to stop giggling or smiling. because of this, she's made a few enemies in Canterlot. it wasn't exactly the place for the happy-go-lucky types like her.

"Well perhaps we can go to the library and learn from each other? Yiu can help me find books on repairing and i can enlighten you on my philosophy if you're interested."

Amina had followed the ponies here, and she saw Crimson's so obvious attempts at flirting with the mare.

"Well, well, well," she said, grinning. "I sink zat date wiz me is not happening any time soon."

She trotted over to Silver.

"You said you needed to fix the distillery?" she asked. "I sink I can do it. I had to learn how to do many zings to make a living before I became a delegate. I was very poor."

Amina turned to the mare.

"My name is Amina. It is nice to meet you, Lunar."

Crimson jaw-dropped. His mind going blank for a moment. He didn't know how to respond to this moment. He gave off a fake laugh. "W-Why not. I mean we were gettin' along fine, right," asked Crimson, sweating a bit. Meanwhile, in his head, he was calling himself an idiot.

"Man, two mare's and 'dere both sank," said Crimson in his head. He tried to think of a plan of action. He didn't know what to do, and he knew showing off wouldn't help.

Lunar's smile had turned into a blank look. he seemed put-off. "I'm sure we can be great friends though." She said, smiling. Lunar hated making other ponies feel down. she wanted to see everypony happy!

but before she could continue her thought, a new... uhm... pony? had shown up. Lunar was mesmerized by her. she had never seen anypony like this before! She was foreign, that much was certain. Lunar caught herself staring at Amina for way too long to be polite. "Hi Amina!" She said in her usual hyper-active tone. "it's nice to meet you as well! I must say, I've never seen anypony like you before!" She said, examining Amina.

"Well i would appreciate your help." Silver said to Amina. He turned to Lunar "I would still enjoy going to the library if you want to come."

Amina had become uncomfortable when Lunar had stared at her. She'd had that too many times. But the mare actually seemed to like Amina. Amina grinned at her.

"Well, you have now," she said, shaking Lunar's hoof. "Glad to meet you too, Lunar."

Silver Eagle seemed to not want anything to do with Amina, instead focusing on the other mare. Amina bristled. Had she just been brushed aside, like a stray branch on a tree?

"I can see you'd rather spend your time wizout me," she said stiffly. "I best be on my way. Zanks for the company."

Well, that attempt at making friends did not go so well. Amina turned to walk back to her house.

Crimson quickly tried to stop Amina."'Old on! Don'tcha wanna stay fer' 'da show?"

Crimson knew how dangerous his fire could be, so he stepped outside, and put on a show of flames. He had colorful blasts of fire heading towards the sky, he showed images and pictures made of fire interacting. "'Ow do ya' like 'dat," asked Crimson, to the now present crowd. Not just Amina could see, but many other Canterlot citizens checked out fire show.

Crimson REALLY didn't want to seem like a show-off, but he thought it was his last chance.

Lunar nearly forgot about the two stallions as she tried to figure out where Amina could be from. "We can if you want to." She said smiling. She really didn't want to seem impolite or make another pony feel down or ignored. But she wanted to find out more about Amina.

Luckily though, Crimson had something to show everypony outside. As Crimson started his show of fire magic, Lunar watched in awe. it vaguely looked like the night sky, but during the day! Sitting outside she sits silently and watches. when he finished, She looks over at Crimson. "That was really good!" She said clapping her front hooves.

Silver walked up next to Amina "You know I can really use your help in finishing my quest. Your the only pony i can rely on for this."

Amina smiled at Crimson with glee.

"Zat was magnificent!" she cried. "How did you do zat?"

She sensed that Lunar was dying to get to know her, so she turned and spoke to the mare.

"I am ze delegate from Saddle Arabia, if you were curious."

Turning yet again, she faced Silver.

"I am excited to hear what zis quest of yours is."

She frowned.

"An anarchist? Does zis have something to do with zat?"

Crimson blushed. He felt like he was one step closer. He gathered up the courage to ask Amina out.

He trotted up to Amina. "'Ey, 'dere's more where 'dat came from if you come on a date wit' me," said Crimson, holding on to Amina's hoof, trying to be as romantic as possible. He put a confident smile on his face.

"I am ze delegate from Saddle Arabia, if you were curious."

"ooooh! Interesting!" She said with her usual wide smile. spotting Crimson, Lunar decides to step back a little and practice a few magic tricks she read about recently. she wanted to try one of the more difficult ones, but she didn't want to be seen as trying to show up Crimson. Sitting nearby she tapped her chin with her hoof while she just let her horn glow for awhile.

"Actually I need your help fixing the Distillery. Most of the time when I say quest I mean odd jobs." Silver said to Amina.
