4/17/13 Game Night

For those of you who own Minecraft and would like to join us for another night of electronic shenanigans, I'm thinking of pulling together another crew for Skype and Minecraft.

Shall we have a survival competition? Shall we erect massive statues of our OCs? Shall I install post apocalyptic plug-ins so that we may collectively struggle to stay alive?

Here is a minecraft.jar file preloaded with the Mine Little Pony mod: http://www.filedropper.com/minecraft_3 <- needs to be updated to 1.5.2, stay tuned...

To install, simply open the start menu and type %appdata%
Then, navigate to your .minecraft/bin folder, and replace the existing minecraft.jar file with the one that I have enclosed. Then, you should be all set!

I might be able to join you all this time. Skype I'm not sure about since my computer is anchored in the living room, but I'll see what I can do ^.^

Sounds great! If your microphone proves inaccessible, Dylgo, it may still be useful to plug in some headphones and listen in on Skype.

I can certainly join now in Brawny's place. I won't have the pony mod cause your instructions are for PC, but I'll definitely be there. I might be a little late though.

If you have a mac, go to finder, library and organise by name, then look under M for Minecraft. Then continue with what 1nc said.

alright just intalled the jar in my minecraft file. and i have to say i really like this mod! also where can we get skins of our ponies for the mod?

Game night follow-up: Having been agreed upon, the server will remain active throughout the majority of the week for those who'd like to update their houses/continue chipping away at things. Have fun!

The server has changed IP addresses. It is now 71.81.145.157:25565.

I was thinking we start up another Game Night with a different game. I made a couple suggestions, and there's Pros and Cons for each:
1). DarkRP (Garry's Mod)
2). Civilization V
3). Team Fortress 2
DarkRP would work well because we're all RPers, and with me around there will be quite a few interesting moments. But I'm not sure many of us have GMod or are willing to play.

Civilization would be fun. There would be some interesting situations, us running countries and all. But once again, not many of us own it.

Team Fortress 2 is Free to Play, and a majority of us have/can get it. But it's not as interesting as the other two. But we did do a little bit of it on the first ever Game Night.

Just suggestions. Love to see a group of us playing one of these games

Steam has loads of free-to-play games, but I haven't looked through them in-depth yet. who knows? there might be something in there.

But yes, I agree. another game night sounds fun.

I dunno if could ever make a games night considering my time difference, and the fact I have a Mac, and that I never buy games on Steam, or rarely play on Steam either.

HOWEVER, I do have TF2 and Garry's Mod, so either of those is good for me.

For some reason the sever went down to everyone save me, the host, without my knowledge. It has been fixed for now and you can log in and join again. Sorry for the delay. You can all come back now and do stuff!

Since my new computer has enough RAM to power the world, I'm looking into getting some good livestreaming software! so for the next game night, I could broadcast it so those who can't join us can watch!

There's hope for a Civilization V Game Night in the near future! Civilization is on sale for $7.50 Vanilla version, and $12.50 for everything. It's also free for the weekend. So, if there was a Game Night soon, Civilization V is very likely.

If anypony wants it really badly but don't have the money, I could spare the 12 bucks and gift it to one of you guys

Every once in a blue moon I can run games like TF2 and games that my laptop cannot. Only once in a while since I would be using my brothers gaming computer and all he does all day is play League of Legends. Otherwise I'd be stuck with lower quality like Civ 4. Curse you sound card and other things...
