A trip to Canterlot.

Moonshine hovered above ground for a bit, gave Crystal a smile and then soared off into the next train car, which was indeed the food cart.

Crystal hugged back before watching Moonshine fly off. She sat awhile and looked around the train.

She quickly returned with a small basket in her mouth. She set it down next to Crystal before sitting on her other side. She unwrapped the basket saying, "daisy sandwiches and hay fries."

Crystal smiled. "Sounds good!" She replied. She helpped Moonshine set up the food.

"Thanks for the help, dig in!" She said excitedly, picking up a sandwich and taking a bite.

"I wonder?" Crystal concentrated hard on her sandwich. She made it float about two inches off the napkin before her horn fizzled out and it landed back on the napkin. "Awww." She frown picking it up and taking a bite anyways.

Moonshine smiled with a mouth full of food, which gave her a silly face. Swalling, she praised, "Good effort! As long as you keep trying, you'll accomplish anything."

Crystal smiled again. "Your rite." She took another bite of her sandwich.

Moonshine had another idea. She took a fork from the basket and stuck it in the sandwich. "Look! I can do magic to!! Wooooh!!!!!" She joked.

Crystal giggled. "Nice magic. I can't do that spell." She played along.

Moonshine giggled too. "I can teach you. Watch closely." Moonshine said. What Crystal didn't know was that Moonshine was gonna teach her real magic. Moonshine picked up another sandwich and put it in front of Crystal. She moved her other hoof to her horn, and rubbed it a certain way near the tip. All of a sudden, Crystal's horn glowed and she was levitating the sandwich effortlessly. "Ta-da!" Moonshine announced.

Crystal looked in amazment. "How did you do that?" She asked mezmarized by the sandwich.

Moonshine smiled. "Thats your trick! I just gave your horn some encourage ment. Your the one levitating it!" She said proudly.

Crystal wasn't sure how it worked but she was excited. She moved the sandwich back and forth a bit trying to figure out how to use this new trick. "This is awsome!" She yelled hapily.

"My mother did this to my father when his magic wasn't at full strength. It opens passageways in your mind that turns happiness into magic." Moonshine explained.

Crystal set the sandwich down. "That's neat!" She laughed. "Now I know two spells!"

"And here is a third spell: Bedtime." Moonshine said, unrolling a sleeping bag and packing up their dinner.

Crystal looked at Moonshine. "That's not a spell. Thats a rule mom told you to use." She giggled jumping her sleeping bag after unrolling it.

Moonshine giggled and got in her own sleeping bag. "Well we have a long day ahead of us. Lots of sightseeing." She explained.

Crystal sighed. "I guess so." She layed down as the train lights went out. Crystal's eyes got wide. She lit her horn like a flashlight and shot straight up, glad they where alone in the car.

Moonshine got up too and looked in Crystal's direction. "Hey you ok? You wanna sleep together?" She asked with concern.

"I-I don't l-like the dark." She stuttered. She scooted her sleeping bag closer to Moonshine's nervously looking around.

Moonshine came even closer, and gave Crystal a tight hug. "Its ok. Im here, nothing will get you." She cooed.

Crystal hugged back calming down. Somthing about having Moonshine around made Crystal feel saffer. "Thanks..." She smiled. She lay back down and slowly fadded the spell and drifting off.

Time Jump: The following morning...

Moonshine awoke early in the morning and smiled when Celestia's sun shone on her. She got up from next to Crystal and did a nice long stretch.
