An ancient evil known as Discord escapes from his stone prison, and Twilight and her friends discover that the Elements of Harmony have been stolen. They need to retrieve them in order to save Equestria from eternal chaos, but first have to contend with Discord's sinister mind games.

With her friends corrupted by Discord and all of Equestria falling into disarray, Twilight is still determined to find the Elements of Harmony. But even after obtaining them, can the group defeat their foe before their friendship unravels completely?

3.Lesson Zero
The ever-organized Twilight realizes she has forgotten to write her weekly report on friendship to Princess Celestia. Panicking at the prospect of being late with an assignment, she becomes increasingly crazed in her efforts to discover something about friendship before the day ends.
Friendship Report:Twilight and her friends learned that you should take a friend's worries seriously even if they may appear trivial at the time, and also that you shouldn't let your worries transform a small problem into a huge one.

4.Luna Eclipsed
Princess Luna arrives in Ponyville during Nightmare Night, a Halloween-like holiday event filled with scary stories, costumes, games, and candy. However, her reputation as the infamous Nightmare Moon precedes her, and she becomes frustrated and disheartened at her inability to dispel this frightening image. Twilight does her best to help the princess adjust.
Friendship Report:Twilight learned that offering friendship to others can help them find it themselves. Also, even if somepony appears intimidating or scary at first, an offer of friendship can uncover a completely different pony underneath.

5.Sisterhooves Social
Required to live in the same house while their parents are away, sisters Rarity and Sweetie Belle find themselves getting on each other's nerves. They soon quarrel and then disown each other as siblings. Meanwhile the Sisterhooves Social, an event themed around sisterly unity, is fast approaching. Rarity has a change of heart and sets out to make amends, but has her work cut out to win Sweetie Belle back.
Friendship Report:Rarity and Sweetie Belle learned that having a sister is wonderful. It often requires teamwork, compromise, and accepting each other's differences, but is mostly about having fun - and getting dirty once in a while.

6.The Cutie Pox
Apple Bloom steals one of Zecora's potions in hopes of getting a cutie mark. Her success turns out to be a forgotten disease that causes her entire body to break out in marks and forces her to incessantly perform the talents they represent. The race is on to find a cure before she runs herself ragged.
Friendship Report:Apple Bloom learned about the importance of patience, and that it doesn't work to try and shortcut your heart's desire when you haven't earned it.

7.May the Best Pet Win!
Being the only pony amongst her friends without a pet, Rainbow Dash gathers the best critters from Fluttershy and hosts a competition to see who will become her companion. Will her future pet be everything she wishes for?
Friendship Report:Rainbow Dash learns that judging a pet or friend on their physical strength is shallow and that a true friend should be judged on their ability to never give up.

8.The Mysterious Mare Do Well
Rainbow Dash gains a rise to stardom after becoming Ponyville's hometown hero. However, her new fame is threatened when a masked pony arrives, saving the day and taking over the spotlight. Just who is this mysterious mare in disguise, and how is she beating Dash at every turn?
Friendship Report:Rainbow Dash discovers that when celebrating her accomplishments turns to arrogance and her ego becomes the primary motive for helping others, she not only loses their appreciation but also causes a rift of jealousy between herself and her friends.

9.Sweet and Elite
Rarity runs into the upper-crust of Canterlot and, by hanging out with them, becomes one of the popular ponies in the kingdom. She soon becomes distracted from preparing for Twilight Sparkle's birthday party, an event that she promised to attend to. When the party moves over to the castle, next to a fancy garden party she had just been invited to, Rarity must decide whether to continue her rising social status or stay loyal to her friends.
Friendship Report:Rarity discovers that no matter where you go in life you should never forget that you are the product of your home and your friends, and that is something always to be proud of no matter what.

10.Secret of My Excess
Spike gets greedy on his birthday and has a huge growth spurt that could decimate Ponyville.

The six friends are honored to put on Canterlot's most important play of the season, the Hearth's Warming Eve's holiday pageant that illustrates how Unicorns, Pegasi and Earth Ponies put aside their differences and founded Equestria.
