| Burning Heart strolled throughout the town of Canterlot. This was one of the few times she actually wasn't wearing her armor. It was peculiar. Her mane could actually wave free and her body can show uncovered. You know why? Burning finally got a day off!
Since she had been watching ponies all the time while she was working, she decided to just lounge around her home town. She would go down to Ponyville and hit the spa, but she was feeling too lazy to travel. This was her day to relax and not give a damn about anything. Would be fun to find some ponies to share this day with...

| Silent let out a huge sigh as he felt the vibrations of his alarm clock go off. With one hoof he felt around for it then turned it off. Ah, another day in the beautiful city of Canterlot! He thought to himself as he pulled down the bed covers and slowly got up.
He then walked over to his window and opened it to let the sun hit his crystalline face. He smiled as the sun welcomed him into another seemingly glorious day! He then zoomed around and quickly finished his morning routine then ate breakfast. To him it seemed like nothing could go wrong. His smile stayed on until he hit Main Street where his restaurant was and was about to unlock and open the door when he spotted an orange mare, crystal pony out of the corner of his eye.
He then stopped to wave as she walked past.

| Amy was having a great day. It was sunny, it was warm, and she had just managed to nab the latest shipment of seeds from Fillydelphia. The shipments from there came really rarely, and when they did there was literally only a hoof-ful or so of packets that were for sale. Most of them were snapped up faster then you could blink, so she was ecstatic that one of those little bundles of possibility was hers. "Hmm... I wonder how many of these will grow into beautiful flowers?" she mumbled to herself before grinning and letting out a little squeal. "Eee! This is so exciting!" | |

| Burning Heart leaned her head on a table of a cafe that had yet to open for the day. It may have been just some table that ponies eat off of, but it sure as hay was comfy. At least for Burning it was, who doesn't often get to know comfort. If she worked any harder than she usually did, her day off would be double patrols.
Looking around, she saw a crystal stallion waving to her. She picked her head up and waved back. He must have been the owner of the place. They were the only two there at the moment. She trotted up and greeted him.
"Hey, I'm Burning Heart. This your cafe?"
Out of nowhere, Burning heard a squeal come from a mare. She paid no mind to it, not wanting to get in another pony's business. Unless if she had reason, or they wanted it. The squealing didn't confirm either of those

| Silent froze as her lips started to move then he chuckled and wiggled his ears then shook his head as if to say he couldn't hear her. He tried his best not to be rude then signed. 'I'm terribly sorry but I can't hear a word your saying due to me being deaf.'
As soon as he finished he hoof faced hoping she knew sign language. He most certainly didn't want to come across as rude and had accidentally left his note pad and pen at home... heck, he even forgot his saddle bag on the kitchen table. Oh what a dunce I am... and just when I thought this day wouldn't go wrong... He sighed and smiled apologetically.

| Amy couldn't contain her excitement any longer. "I wonder how many seeds we have..." she mumbled, opening the package and tipping the little sprinkles of life onto her hoof as she walked. "Let's see... one, two, three, four..." she counted aloud, levitating the seeds she had already counted.
So wrapped up was she in this activity that she didn't even notice where she was going, accidentally crashing into an orange crystal mare. Gasping, she landed on the ground and totally lost hold of her seeds, sending them flying everywhere. "Oh no, sweet Celestia!" she cried, sitting up and beginning to hurriedly collect the seeds.

| Burning Heart was confused when the stallion didn't speak, then moved his hooves all around. Maybe he was one of those ponies who couldn't hear and tried using sign language. That sucks, now they had no way to communicate with each other unless they had pen and paper.
Burning sighed and was bumped into by another mare. Then she saw a bunch of seeds scattered around. She decided to assist and rounded them all up and handing them to the mare.
"You should watch where you're going next time. I'm Burning Heart by the way."
Burning turned around and looked at the cafe again. It looked like something from the Crystal Empire. She hadn't been there often, even being a Crystal Pony. She was born in Canterlot, so she didn't even know much about it, aside from her mom's stories.
"That's a beautiful building you've got. Oh wait, forgot. Sorry..." Burning blushed, feeling embarrassed that she already forgot he couldn't hear.

| Silent offered the other mare his hoof trying to help her up then continued to unlock his restaurant and pushed open the door and waved them in. He then bent under the front desk and retrieved a note pad and pen then wrote, 'I'm terribly sorry, It's nice to meet you both. I'm Silent Whistle, owner and builder of this fine establishment. If you would like, you can take a look at this menu and order things from all around Equestria!'
'What might your names be?' He wrote then handed the notepad to them

| Amy smiled, flushing a little as she gratefully accepted the stallions out stretched hoof, holding the bag open as the crystal mare tipped the seeds she had managed to pick up into the bag. "Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" she exclaimed, flailing her hooves a little and sighing. "I can be such an uncontrollable klutz sometimes." she said, dusting herself off with an awkward smile. "Forgot what?" she asked, confused, but following the stallion into the building anyway. When he began to write on a notepad, she began to understand. "Ooohhh, I seeee...." she trailed off, smiling and waving before picking up the pen and quickly scribbling something down. 'My name is Amaryllis Cerise, but you can just call me Amy! It's nice to meet you too.' | |

| Burning Heart guessed it. This stallion couldn't hear. And his name was Silent Whistle. He sure had a nice place. And the other mare was something really long and weird. Amy was a much better alternative. She took the pen and notepad and wrote on it.
"Nice to meet you both. I'm Burning Heart, Royal Guard. And I'd like to eat here." Then she stopped writing, handed the notepad back to Silent, and turned her head to Amy. "What about you? You hungry? I can pay for it."

| Silent smiled happily and quickly ushered Amy and Burning over to a booth then handed them both a menu and walked away to fix ice in their glasses then returned to note them on their beverage choices. "Have you made your drink decision yet?" He wrote then handed them the notepad.
It surely was nice of them to try my place out. They are my very first customers ever! This is a huge accomplishment, time to give them my very best service despite the lack of staff... But that's not important right now. Time to send their tastebuds on a flavor journey they'll never forget!

| Amy frowned, shaking her head. "I'm not hungry." she said, before realising how that sounded. "Oh wait. I AM hungry, just not hungry enough for you to pay for it." she said, flushing a little. "That was a lot better in my head."
When Silent came back, she wondered why he was smiling so much and seemed so over the moon, but took the notepad and wrote some things down on it. "I'll have any kind of juice, thanks." she wrote, handing it to Burning with a smile.

| Burning Heart sat down at the table with Amy. It was a bit odd how A). The place seemed empty except for those three ponies, and B). always having to write down what you wanted to say, unless you knew sign language.
Burning took the notepad, and tapped the pen to her chin really quick. She wrote on it "I'll just have some cola, thanks." and handed it back to Silent. It was too early for alcohol, and she didn't feel like drinking plain old water like usual.
"So, Amy, I noticed the whole heap of seeds earlier. You like plants, I'm guessing?"

| Silent rushed off to the kitchen to whip up an assortment of different crystal berry juices for Amy that would surely send her taste buds on a wild ride then went over to mix a pepsi cola for Burning. Although behind closed doors a thought crossed his mind which he quickly shook off. NO, absolutely not... I refuse to fall for anypony other than Flowers... But on second thought... she is reaaally pretty and smells like heaven.
He went off into a daydream about the lovely miss Burning Heart and completely forgot he was fulling the glass with drinks causing them to spill over his hoof. The icy cold beverage spilling over his hoof was enough to wake him from his sudden stupor so he quickly got a mop and cleaned it up. Oh Silent, what have you done? You're nowhere near handsome enough to be in her league and plus, you've got Flower... This will stop now.
He thought bringing out the two drinks on a serving tray with a joyful smile stretched across his crystal face. He then handed out the drinks to Amy and Burning then gave them the other menus then waited until they had made their choices again handing them the notepad.

| Amy's face blossomed into a grin. "Like? I think it's a little bit more then that." she chuckled, gesturing to her cutie mark. "It's my special talent! I'm planning to open a florist's soon, but it's a lot of work to get everything ready..." she sighed, drawing little shapes on the hoof with her table. "It's going to take a while, but I hope it will be worth it!"
When Silent came back with the drinks, Amy graciously took hers before taking a sip, not quite sure what to expect. As the liquid slipped up the straw, her eyes widened as the sweet juice connected with her tongue. "Wow! It's like a party in my mouth!" she exclaimed, before realising that he couldn't hear her praise. Taking the notepad offered, she quickly drew a smiley face before showing it to him.
Taking the menu in her hooves, she opened it and was instantly overwhelmed with all the choices. "Oh my gosh... I don't even know what to choose! I suppose I'll just have... Uh..." she trailed off, pondering before looking at Burning. "I'll get what you get since I have no idea and I'm sure it will taste great." she said, before writing that down quickly on the notepad.

| Burning Heart browsed the menu. There were so many appetizing things on it. She had no idea what to pick. Then Amy put it on her to choose. Burning took a sip of her refreshing cola and took the notepad and pen.
"What would you recommend, Silent?" She handed the notepad to the owner/waiter. What a nice stallion. Cute guy, too. But he was probably taken anyway. And her heart was still pointing in the direction of Manehattan. Where a very interesting stallion she met lived. They weren't really together yet, but she'd like to be with him

| Focus casanova! I know she looks pretty but dang YOU'RE TAKEN DUDE, GET OVER IT! Silent thought mentally slapping himself. Okay, I can do this... just don't look at her and you'll get through this. Then he turned to see Amy and Burning had written something. He then chuckled and wrote.
"Thank you very much for the compliment Miss Amy! Would I recommend the apple nectar and caramelized hay with the crystal berry sauce over honey glazed oats? Or the grass salad with daisies and ranch?" He then handed the notepad back to them.

| Amy smiled, before looking at the notepad placed between them and tilting her head so she could read it easier. "Well... With the recommendations in mind I suppose..." she trailed off, picking up the pen and continuing her sentence. 'A grass salad with daisies and ranch for me please!' she said, smiling as she put the pen down and levitated the book over to Burning so she could make her choice. | |

| Burning Heart looked at the foods Silent wrote down. Funky. She took the pen again, and started writing on it. "I'll take the first thing you said, Mr. Whistle." Then she handed it back to Silent, and continued talking to Amy.
"A florist, huh? That sounds nice. Being surrounded by pretty flowers all the time. I'm just a guard. Today's my day off. I mean, I love Equestria, and I love protecting it, but a mare needs a break every now and again. Know what I mean?"

| Silent glanced down at their orders then nodded and quickly scurried towards the kitchen to prepare them. He took some hay and all of the glazes and quickly whipped up Burning's order then got to work on Amy's order.
He hummed a little tune out of tune not really knowing if he made any noise at all. To him it soothed his throat and made him relax. It wasn't long before he plated and bowled his delicacies then went through the door to serve them to his two hungry guests.

| Amy smiled, nodding. She was in her element, now, and she loved being able to tell other ponies about her passion. "Oh, yes! Flowers are amazing! I love the scent in the beginning of Spring, when they are just beginning to bloom." she said, almost dazing off into a daydream, before realising she was speaking and snapping back into it. "Oh, of course! Even if one loves what one does, a break is always relaxing." she said, gesturing slightly with her hooves.
As soon as the plates were brought out, Amy felt her mouth water just from looking at it. If the juice tasted amazing, then what was the food to taste like?

| Burning Heart looked at her bowl of extremely delicious and fancy looking food. She didn't hesitate to pick up a fork and start eating. Her taste buds almost jumped out of her tongue in excitement from how amazing it tasted. After her first taste, she started digging in, finishing it in less than a minute, and burped.
"Wow, I must have been really hungry." Then she took the notepad and pen again and wrote to Silent. "You're one good chef, Silent. I might eat here more often if I get free time."

| He smiled and read the notepad then wrote, "Why thank you Miss Burning for the compliments! I always try my best when cooking the delicacies from all around Equestria. I always strive to make the absolute very best for my customers... eh, even if you two are my very first and with limited staff but I'm sure I'll get more in the future!"
He then wrote, "Please spread the word of my shop won't you? It would help me out a great deal if you would! I only have so much money left over from my travels..."

| Amy watched as Heart literally devoured her food. Glancing down at her plate, she picked up a fork and gently picked up a piece, chewing on it thoughtfully before swallowing. After a couple of seconds, she was digging in happily, and the food was soon sparkling clean. Leaning back in her chair, she patted her stomach comfortably and beamed. "Wow, that was great!~ I'm coming back her soon, that's for sure!" she exclaimed, before writing what she had said down on the pad and showing it to Silent. "Of course we can!" | |

| Burning Heart wrote on the notepad again. It was starting to become a challenge. It's hard to write with hooves. At least she could manage.
"Of course I will, Silent. I'll spread word around the guard about how awesome this place is. And I'll tell a few passing civilians, especially if they need a job. I heard of one crystal stallion who was looking for a job and support his future family. I'll ask him." Burning was about to hand the notepad back, then she took it back and wrote again. "Any dessert?"
