| Blackfire was galloping through the town, a huge grin on his face and sweat dripping down his face. He had been working for most of the day on a bench, and he decided he needed a beverage to relax himself. He ended up finding a tavern, it was perfect. Blackfire repeated the script he made for his entrance to a new establishment. He cleared his throat and opened the doors.
"Attention all ponies. You may calm yourselves. It is only I. The charismatic, enigmatic, entertaining, never complaining, rarely tame, epic name unicorn. I am Blackfire. I am thirsty." he said, making his way to the counter and hit it with his hoof,
"Barkeep, i require a refreshing beverage. It's about 4 pm so a cool bottle of cola will do just fine." he said, looking and seeing the angry looking ponies gazing at him.

| Shala had seen many new ponies, some weirder than others, and some that probably were a waste of space, but never had a new pony ever barged in and called so much attention to themselves like that crazy showmare.
Shala sighed and rolled her eyes as he waltzed up to the bar. She wasn't sure if this was a good pony to get drunk or not. But the mention of the time immediately had an affect on her.
Her facial expression warped into that of pain and fury. With a great amount of restraint, she magicked a bottle of vodka over to her and quickly drank a jew chugs before speaking with very irritated voice.
"....Its eleven minutes and thirty seven seconds past four." Her head pounded with the ticking of that clock. Oh how much she hated it. Her hoof grinded at the ground to alleviate some of her frustration. This was going to be a long day.
"We don't have any more cola. Order a real drink." She said, less angry this time, but still plenty irritated. They actually did have cola, but she wasn't feeling very nice.

| Blackfire felt offended. Granted he appreciated her telling him the time, the barkeep was being rude. A real drink, eh? Blackfire had a chance to learn a few drink names earlier, and to add 'virgin' to remove the alcohol from it.
"Okay then, layeth upon me ahhhhhh-uuuuhhhh-hmmmmm a virgin beer? Is that real enough for you... and your apparent choice to refuse acknowledgement of certain drinks?" He Ordered, the surrounding ponies still staring at him, probably because he was so dashing.
Blackfire didn't really like liquor, whenever he drank some, he began to babble incoherently, and his horn would go crazy. At one point, he remembered waking up in the middle of a burnt cottage, surrounded by empty bottles. It was his cottage.

| Shala had managed to calm herself down a little, but this new pony was not helping. She stared him down like he was out of his mind.
Virgin beer? What is wrong with this pony? What kind of pony pretends their drinking alcohol? And what kind of pony questions the barkeeps opinion on drinks? She thought to herself. Shala was already getting worked up again over this pony. If it was not for the fact she had a job, she would give him a piece of her mind.
"....Fruit juice or milk is what we got for 'nonalcoholic' drinks." She said, measuring her words. If this was Manehattan, things would have been so different. Shala would have loved it.

| Blackfire had to choose. The fruit juice would've given him the vitamin C necessary to finish his little sideshow project, however, the milk would give him calcium. He began to ponder, when a brilliant solution came to him.
"I say, barkeep, mix them together into a large bucket. And also, throw in a few of those tiny umbrellas." he said, smiling.

| Shala stared at him longer, now very convinced that there was more than just a 'few things' wrong with this pony. Keeping her eyes on him, she magics the milk and fruit juice over along with a bucket from under the counter and upturns them into it. Once its full, she tossed a few umbrellas on it and pushed it before him.
"...25 bits." She said flatly.

| Blackfire's eyes opened wide. He opened his mouth several times to say something, but found nothing coming out. He stuck his head into the bucket and began drinking. Once finished he looked the bartender straight in the eyes.
"That price, is ridiculous. I am outraged. This is robbery. Do you have a license for being such a thief." he complained. Eventually paid the 25 bits, though still grumbling about it. He wished the manager was around so that a proper complaint could be made.

| Shala suppressed a smile at hearing this ponies frustrations. It was too bad this place was not her usual bar she went to in Manehattan, where she had a reputation. One wrong look could get the whole bar to glare you down. It helped having mafia connections too. It might as well have been a license for being a thief.
She said nothing more and got out another glass to pour herself some rum. Her mood had gotten considerably better after this ponies complaints and payment.
"...Anything else?" She said more casually this time. "Or is a whole bucket good enough?"

| Blackfire got to thinking. The milky-fruity-beverage had only made him more thirsty, oddly enough. he needed something more. He was in a tavern, and he was an adult. A young adult but still. Maybe he should indulge in a non childs drink. Unfortunately, he didn't know many drink names. As well as the fact that he afraid of becoming bankrupt from ordering to many things. Eh, one more drink couldn't hurt.
"No, a single bucket cannot quench my thirst. I need a real drink. Whatever it is you have there, give me a tall glass of it." he said.

| This was a problem. Shala loved to make ponies drink. She was stuck here enough not being allowed to drink on the job (not that it stopped her). Getting other ponies drunk is what opened them up and made her enjoy passing the time. But giving this pony any drinks might make him more annoying. Or less. There was no telling. No matter what he was going to get a 'real drink'.
What to give him....I can't believe i'm thinking this, but maybe i shouldn't give him something too strong. She thought as she scanned the shelf of liquor. It did not occur to her at first that she had a very easy option out of this.
"...Liquor or beer?" She did not know what one would be better, a more or less drunk pony could have a more or less annoying pony.

| "They're practically the same thing, just give me a beer." said Blackfire, looking to his left and to his right.
"I would like to apologize for any damages i may cause while under the influence." he whispered.
He then stared at the barkeep, waiting patiently for his drink.

| 'Practically the same thing'. Those words set Shala into a new horrid mood. To compare beer to liquor was a sin against all alcoholics across the world. If she were one of the goddesses of this land, she would have his head off in an instant.
"The same thing?!" She caught herself before she went on in too much of a fury. Taking a moment to breathe, she spoke a bit more calmly. "They are nothing alike. From alcohol concentration to how they are made. Its not even close! And no, your not forgiven for any damages you cause when your drunk. Now, enjoy your swill." She magicked up a bottle from the cooler and pushed it to him, intentionally neglecting to take the cap off.

| "I didn't come here for a lesson, i came for a drink." said Blackfire, his annoyance having no level.
He magic'd the cap off, while giving a dirty look to the barkeep, and took a sip. Didn't taste half bad. He began drinking faster and faster. Once he finished, he felt strange, like the room was spinning around him. He began feeling sick, but the feeling passed instantly.
"Thranks you sire, maze I harve Anooder?" he said incoherently, attempting to ask for another drink. If one drink did this, another would probably fix him right up.

| Shala brushed off his initial remark and went back to cleaning glasses, but upon seeing the pony drink up his beer rather quickly and already slurring from such a weak beverage, she had to roll her eyes.
Oh great, a super ultra lightweight. A shot of wine would kill him.
She leaned in against the counter toward him, about to say something she thought she might never say in her life. "You sure you want more?" Shala looked to the bottle and then the pony. "If one of those screws you over that bad then your a remarkably lightweight pony who would die to a droplet of rum. Are you sure you have tried liquor before?" She guessed he was just very ignorant.

| "I am positive, that Ir've drinking a beverage with a name like that just like that. I do it all the tome. Give me a ginger ale. I think I'm going to be sick. I see spots. i see the light, I can hear my great grandmaw aunt paw calling me. I'm coming granny." Mumbled Blackfire, his horn turning redder and redder.
Blackfire felt the heat rising, but that was no concern. He had forgotten where he was. He fell to his back and began giggling. It was true, he was a lightweight. He would rarely drink any alcohol, cause he would get drunk way to quickly. He could hear voices in his head.
"Do you have any gum?!?" he shouted into the air.

| Shala did a double facehoof and shook her head. This pony was the most embarrassing thing she had ever come across that could ingest alcohol. She let out a huge sigh before going to the cooler and getting a cola for him and putting it on the counter.
"You are an embaressment to pony kind. Just drink this and don't talk to me." She said before going to the kitchen door and notifying the cook to make some fries for yet another far too drunk pony.

| Blackfire got up and started chuckling, though still dizzy, he felt victorious.
"That'll teach you... to keep cola away from me." he whispered, breathing heavily.
As for the embarrassment to pony kind, Blackfire had heard that so many times, it had lost meaning. Blackfire quietly drank his cola, trying to quench the sudden thirst.

| Moments later, Shala put a plate of fries before him and went back to her glass polishing. Whenever any pony got too drunk in the bar, she always gave them some free food to sober them up. It was one of the few unwritten rules she had aside from no hanging clocks in the bar.
Despite her generosity, she said nothing and kept to herself and her glasses that needed to be cleaned. Considering her mood, it was best that she didn't say anything.

| Blackfire stared at the food given to him. His stomach began to churn in an unsavoring way. Maybe he didn't have the stomach for it. His drinking days would come to an end. However, drinking got him some free fries. Blackfire dug his face onto the plate and began eating the fries.
"These fries are making me thirsty." he said aloud,
Although this thirst was unrelenting, Blackfire refused to let himself order another alcoholic beverage.
"But i can live with it." he said, calmly.

| Shala sighed and got him a glass of ice water. She pushed it over to him.
"How in the world does a lightweight like you even survive?" She asked aloud to herself, not expecting any answers. "A parasprite could out drink you."

| "Well then, it's great to live in a world where you're judged by what you do, and not how much you can drink. And seeing as I am the best in the world at what I do, I guess i can let myself be bad at something. That being drinking." he explained, apparently becoming sober.
It was tough to take him seriousy, seeing as his whole mouth was covered in mashed fries and salt. He took a sip of water, when he realized it was too cold. He was going to ask the barkeep to get a new one for him, but she seemed awfully annoyed. He chose to handle it himself. He began heating up his horn, and once he found a decent temperature to warm up the water, he dipped his horn into it. After a quick moment, Blackfire grabbed the glass with his tongue and teeth and began drinking.

| Shala was not very impressed. She rolled her eyes and frowned at his rather messy face. "...And what would 'what you do' be?" She hardly could care for what he had to say. All it was at this point was just conversation. As her boss liked her to do. | |

| "Intrigued, are you? Well if you must know, I am a carpenter/welder/handyman. As mentioned before, the best in the world. I've been yet to be proven wrong." he bragged.
Blackfire was sure there were some ponies better than him. His father for one. But his father had retired, as his son, he inherited that title.
"And I bet that politeness is your weak point. And that you're the best in the world at being rude." he stammered, taking several steps back to avoid any hits the barkeep might've wanted to throw at him, due to his insults.

| Shala did not take it offensively. As a matter of fact she took it rather well.
"I try my best. Glad to know that I haven't lost my touch." She smirked at him. "Best in the world? Hmm. I bet you couldn't build a brewery worth a darn." Shala challenged him.
