Heroes Seen In The Shadows Are Hidden By The Light

Doodle bit her lip as her eyes zoomed around the place trying, yet again, to keep in her excitement! Her mind went a buzz with questions and theories about where they've just stepped into. It seemed like they had gone back in time due to the now colorlessness of the room. As Doodle's excitement settled, she continued to scan the room still curious to what had happened.

"We're in the same place but it is impossible... Is it possible?? Did we go back in time?!? That'd be so cool if we did!" She then let out a magnificent gasp and turned to Duel and whispered in a slightly more high pitched squeak than she wished. "DID WE GO BACK IN TIME?!?" She noticed that he kept walking right past the owner, whom she waved enthusiastically to as she passed!

"Wow, you don't stop for conversations do you? That's ok... I guess. Plus, you don't smile much! I'm going to fix that!" She then began humming, since she didn't know the full song, the smile song as happily as she could while bouncing over him! "This is gonna be exciiiiiiiting!! We'll fight the badgers and the moles and throw the old something aside! Then grin as much when the myths all meet, to sprinkle glitter around the yard and send the whole world flying!"

Dual edge sighs softly, this mare was starting to get on his nerves ever so slightly. No we did not go back in time, we have entered the world of shadows, another dimension if you will, the figures you see are just shadows, we can see them but we don't exist to them." He explained as they walk towards the town hall and as they grew closer more night guards started to appear some alone others in groups, some with wings, others with horns and some with none at all.

As they reached the front steps the doors banged open and a female bat pony walked out fallowed by a set of guards. She scans the crowd and her eyes land on Doodle they narrow. With a gust of wind she was standing in front of them, the crowd backing up a bit.

"Lieutenant Dual Edge! What is the meaning of this!?" She barked at him glaring.

Doodle could plainly see her hyperactivity was beginning to get on Duel's nerve so she calmed herself down and continued forward until they arrived at a group of bat-ponies. Her ears perked up upon seeing one swoop in and land right in front of them with anger marring her features. Doodle stood at attention despite the icy claws of fear slowly ripping away at her conscious.

Doodle blinked a few times as her feathery wings puffed up into giant puff balls in an instinctive attempt to make herself look bigger, which she couldn't help. She quickly glanced at Duel then back at the bat mare without moving her head.

Dual Edge stood at attention when the mare approached him "Commander Blue Moon Ma'am! I was escorting this civilian." The female now known as Blue moon snorted before looking around "And what of Light Speed and Tail Winds were they not assigned to with you in patrols?" Dual sighs sadly "They didn't make it.." She says handing her two medallions just like his but blue and green. The commander suddenly looked broken "They were the 6th patrol this week..." She said taking them and looked back at him Very well be on your way. With that she turned a was on her way.

Doodle stared wide eyed as the amulets were given over to the other pony. Her fear was quickly subsiding as her excitement was climbing! She did everything she could to hold back her excitement which was surging on the rise yet again! She held her breath as she glanced over at Duel in anticipation!

'YIIIII I'M SO EXCITED I CAN BURST!! But, be cool, military and all that... Eh, still pretty dang awesome!! Oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!! Deep breath, keep it in... Come on girl, you can do this!'

When the bat mare flew away, she let out the hot stream of air that had been pressing firmly against the inside of her cheeks so much that condensation happened, causing her to release actual 'steam' and put on the necklaces.
