Getting over the past

Blown Speaker was walking through the marketplace for the first time since he left Manehattan, even though the slums was where his mother was killed, he avoided the entire city like the plague, until now, he was supose to meet somepony here, he tried to change the location but they wouldn't budge, so now he is here, thinking about how much his mother loved these shops.

Frozen flew overtop Manehatten, stopping and landing in the middle of the shops with a list in his bag. 'Sun Rush said he needed these for dinner tonight. Better get them now.' Frozen thought and placed the list back in his bag. He started trotting and bumped into Blown Speaker. "Oh, hey Speaker!" Frozen said. "Whatcha doin here?" Frozen said cocking his head.

Speaker sighed "Just waiting for somepony, they were supose to meet me here, but why here of all place.." he started to mutter so quiet, that if you put your ear to his mouth you wouldn't be able to here him.

"Why? What's wrong with Manehatten?" Frozen said. "I'm here cuz' I'm shopping for my cousin, Sun Rush, Sky Ride's brother. We are having a cookout at a park near his apartment. Wanna come?" Frozen said.

"Nothing just memories, and I wish I could, but like I said, I'm supposed to meet somepony here." Speaker said in a nonchalant ly sad voice.

"Alright. I will come with you then! I don't really know where most of the stuff is so you could help me out. You probably know this place better than I." He said with a shrug.

"You can wait with me, but I won't be much help. I have been avoiding this place since i was young."Speaker said, more saddened.

"Well sometimes to get over the past you have to go back where the bad memories happened, to cover them up with good." Frozen said.

"I guess, hey are you sure your not the pony I'm supposed to meet, the initials on the note were FF." Speaker said.

"Why would I meet you here? No offense if it did sound offensive. Plus I never wrote anything this morning." He said with a shrug. 'WHAT IF IT WAS ME AND I DIDN'T KNOW!' He thought. "What was on the note?" Frozen questioned.

"Just to meet them here around the time you showed up." Speaker said, taking another look at the note.

Frozen thought for a second. "Wait a minute.... wait a minute..... OK! It was me I just remembered. I wanted to invite you to the BBQ and help you get over the bad memories of this place! Sorry 'bit forgetful." He said with a sheepish grin as he rubbed the back of his head with his hoof.

" i see, and maybe you can help me get over my memories of the place. But just to warn you, it may be dangerous, for like you said, we will need to go to the source of my memories, the slums...*

"Right.... cool! I can fly so if theirs any trouble you fight and I fly. Or we both fight." Frozen said with a kooky grin.

" For the most part i will probably be to emotionly incompetent there, you can see how even here I am not my usual self..."

"Ugh you are such a bore! C'mon lighten up!" Frozen said.

"You really want me to lighten up in the city where my mother was murdered, in the city where my father abandoned me, in the city where I fed of scraps until I was old enough to leave?" Speaker asked a bit irritabily, though he knew it was his past talking, not him.

"See, that's what I'm talking about. You think of your past to much. Think of the present! If that hadn't happened to you, you probably would have never met me, Sky, or any other friends you have. Even Inked Paper!" Frozen said. "Although the city took a lot it also gave you stuff too." Frozen said with a smile.

" I guess, speaking of Inked, I better head to the hotel we are staying at and check in with him, I told him I would keep him waiting too long." He said, speaking a bit like his usual self, but sadness can still be found in hia voice.

"Alright, he can come to the BBQ as well! It would be fun! I hope Sky's okay... I hate leaving her with my brothers.... Her brother can care for her..." Frozen said fear flickers in his eyes at the mention of his brothers, then it went away.

"Whats wrong with your brothers?" Speaker asked.

"Well, they are pretty abusive. If when with Cider, they can be HAVOCAL. So...... yeah..... I hate them, and being near them....." He said with a fake laugh.

"You go make sure Sky is okay, while I get Inked, tell her I said hi" Speaker said before starting to walk towards the hotel he was staying in.

"Alright, see ya!" Frozen said and flew off to check Sky. When he got there his brothers were fighting her brother. Sky was sitting there a bit beat up, Frozen's sister trying to move her. Frozen dashed over to Sky to help her when he felt a kick to his gut. He rolled over and moaned in pain. "You leave him alone!" Sky yelled and kicked one of the brothers in the face then she shot at him like a bullet and head but him in the chest. She landed panting when she felt pain in her gut and she writhed in pain and fell then her leg. Her leg hurt and she looked at it and it was at an awkward angle. Frozen and her brother were fighting the 2 brothers. She lay there in pain. "Sis take over!" Frozen yelled and flew off to the hotel where Inked and Speaker were staying. "Hey Speaker, um, yeah she's not ok. In fact they are all FIGHTING! C'mon you gotta help! You too Inked I think you have stronger magic than your brother." Frozen said.

"Okay, show us the way." Speaker said, as he put Inked on his back so they could travel faster.
