Blue Aster's time in Ponyville

Blue Aster woke up in her house, her thick fluffy mane tousled and standing on end, she trotted to a mirror in her room to make herself look presentable before taking a quick bath in herb-infused water. She smiled and dried herself off before heading out into town, carrying a saddlebag of her various botany journals.

Starflower trotted, carrying moonlace. It was a rare flower kind she loved to grow. She was going to give some to Carpe and Breezedancer when she bumped into a new mare with a blue coloration.

Blue Aster tumbled backwards, landing on her side as her many journals spilled out of her saddlebags. Some opened to pages with intricate sketches of exotic flowers labeled with elegant hoof-writing. "Oh dear..." She said softly as she began to pick up her journals. "I'm so sorry."

"My fault entirely, miss. Don't worry about it." Star said, picking up the moonlace that was intact.

Blue Aster looked at the flower the other mare was picking up. "Oh my.. is that... Moonlace?" She asked, a look of awe on her face. "I've never seen such a beautiful specimen before!" She exclaimed, examining the flower intensely.

"Well, it is very hard to grow. It takes so much of my time nowadays." Starflower said, glancing the mare over. "I'm Starflower, ma'am."

"My name is Blue Aster." The deep blue mare said, holding out her hoof in greeting. "Nice to meet you, miss Starflower."

"Nice ta meet 'cha." she shook hooves. "Botanist, I'm guessing?"

"Yes, I'm a bit of a freelance botanist, it's more of a hobby than anything else at the moment." Blue Aster said. "I haven't exactly found a job yet, but I plan on getting some of my journals published."

"Can I see?" she asked.

Blue Aster smiled and nodded. "Sure, have a look." She said, handing her a journal about her special flowers that can grow from the cold.

"Ooh. I'll have to study up on those." she said.

Blue Aster smiled. "Are you a botanist as well?" She asked, looking at the other mare with renewed enthusiasm.

"Wow! Me too!" Blue Aster said with a giggle, smiling widely. "I have a feeling we will be good friends." She mused.

Blue Aster smiled and flicked her ears. "Would you like to come to my place for some tea?" She asked.

She nodded. "Sure."

Blue Aster smiled widely and walked back towards her house. "Right this way." She said as she trotted towards her quaint log cabin

Following, she caught glimpse of Breeze for a quick sec. She dashed over and gave over three moonlaces. Before a response could be given, she dashed off to keep up with Miss Aster.
