Malachite yawned as she awoke in the living quarters at Ooarai, she stretched her draconic wings as she climbed out of bed. She approached her closet and donned her uniform, a set of grayish green military fatigues and some goggles.

The kirin mare walked down the hall towards the garages, her claws lightly clattering against the tiles as she walked.

Metal was at the garages, a few tanks were standing on the sides
He weared his uniform and a belt with some tools. He worked on a german 38 t light tank, changing a few wheels.

Malachite entered the garage, looking around at the different tanks. She spotted Metal and approached him. "Hey Metal, how's it going?"

Metal approached under the tank and smiled at Malachite "Hi Malachite! Im great, just repairing the 38t.. it took some great hits on the side, how about you?"

Malachite nodded. "I'm good, just coming to check on the Heavy Tanks." She said. "They'll be needed today, I reckon."

"The heavy tanks are ready" Metal said, grabbing a spanner from his belt

Malachite smiled and nodded. "Awesome." She said, smirking wildly. "We are going up against the Amareicans today."

"Saunders high school? Those are veterans! This will be a tough battle" Metal said

Malachite gulped slightly. "Well.. I have a feeling we will win.. I hope." She added with a whisper.

Metal smiled and nodded.
He walked to a camouflage painted BT-7 and drove it to the middle of the garage
It made a slight rattling sound as it moved forward
On the side of the tank was a pegasus symbol with spread out wings

"This one yours?" Malachite asked, flicking her notched ears. "Looks good." She added as she approached a similarly camouflaged Tiger II with a painted symbol of a pair of draconic wings "This is my baby.."

Metal poked his head out of the hatch "Me and my engineer team found this one in a forest, completely destroyed.. we restored it, it was hard finding some parts but we did a pretty good job. Its a medium tank with a large cannon and a topspeed of 43 miles per hour, its super fast.. do you have a team?" he said

"Well... kinda.." Malachite said, looking down. "I've got one other team member, but she's a rookie..."

Tiger Lily entered the garage, breathing heavily. "Sorry i'm late." She said between breaths as she approached Malachite.

"Speak of the devil.." Malachite muttered softly.

"The principal anounced that everyone elected Tank driving.. needs to be in a team and get their own tank, but not school tanks.. we need to find one" Metal said

Malachite tilted her head, looking at her signature Tiger II. "Oh.. that's.. ok."

Tiger Lily nodded slowly. "So I guess we should start looking."

"Do you.. maybe need another team member?" Metal asked, looking at the ground

Malachite nodded, placing a clawed foot on Metal's shoulder. "You bet we do." She said with a confident smirk.

Metal smiled "Its been a while since they cancelled tank driving on this school, but the old tanks might be still somewhere.. we should look on the mountains behind the forest, the B, C and D team will look under the sea and in the forests"

Malachite smirked and flicked her tail. "I hope we find a Maus." She said.

Tiger Lily stepped out of the garage towards the mountains.

Metal grabbed his tool saddlebag and walked with them "A maus is so slow, I want a fast tank!" Metal said, giggling a bit

Malachite chuckled. "I want something... Well... Tanky."

Metal smiled and arrived at the mountain, climbing up and stopping at a small cave in the mountain
"Guys! Come up here"

Malachite approached the cave alongside Tiger Lily, peering inside carefully.

Metal put on his headlamp, lighting to the front of a Churchill II "Jackpot" Metal said, smiling and inspecting the tank "Its been in here for ages, this looks like a lot of work"

Malachite looked around, stepping out of the cave, she spotted something tangled in a mass of vines below.
