A new start for Silent Whistle?

Silent slowly opened his eyes on yet another beautiful Canterlot morning and went about his daily routine as usual. He sluggishly rolled out of bed as the sun shone rather annoyingly through his window, letting the light bounce off of his crystalline form in all directions. Silent groaned and quickly changed out of his pajamas and into his usual head chef outfit to his five star restaurant brought with him all the way form his home land of the Crystal empire!

The deaf stallion quickly whipped up eggs and grass over a low flame and let it simmer in a batch of olive oil while he dig through his cabinets for the right spices. Once he had finished his breakfast, he walked down his spiral stairs while stopping upon one flight to look out at the beautiful city below him! Despite living on the 2 floor, he always took the stairs to work just to see this view outside every morning. Once at the bottom, he went next door and unlocked his crystalline shop with a nod to each of the staff members. The doors were flung open as he put the 'open' sign out then went behind the counter waiting for the customers as the staff went to their positions!

Mint Berry was on a visit to her hometown, walking through the streets as she spotted a shiny cafe, she looked through the window and entered, "Hello" she said, looking at the other ponies and walking to the counter

A waiter quickly spotted the light yellow mare curiously walk through the door and said, "Welcome to the Crystal Delights! Right this way, ma'm!" After a quick bow, he escorted her to her booth deep within the crystal Cafe. Everything around them was made out of different types of crystals, even the floor above the crystal cafe was see-through, making it possible to watch the ponies come and go on either floor! The waiter then handed her a menu as well as a small bell as the others began setting up the knives, forks, and spoons on other booths.

"Please ring when you are ready and we'll be right with you!"

"Wow, I forgot how polite the ponies in Canterlot are" she tought.
She looked at the menu and rang the bell

It wasn't long before the crystalline double doors opened with surprisingly soft click as the waiter who seated her came out, bowed, and withdrew a notepad attached to a pen while handing her one as well. "I'm sorry miss, but it is protocol for us to give all of the members here a pen and paper to be able to communicate to our head chef who likes to come out and greet every pony as well as see how they enjoy their food!" He then smiled at her and asked.

"So, which of the crystal delicacies would you be sampling today?"

"Ill just take some pancakes and a light coffee, please" she said

The waiter nodded and quickly scribbled down "One crystal wheat pancake," " Would you like anything on it?"

"No thanks, its fine" she said

The waiter bowed and retreated to the kitchen as he was soon replaced with a lilac crystal pony adorned with wavy blue hair. He smiled and bowed then wrote down. "Welcome to my humble restaurant! I'm so glad you chose to stop by and sample some foreign delights from my home town! I do apologize for the current method of communication... I am completely deaf in both ears."

"My name is Silent Whistle, and I am your crystal Chef if you so prefer and I own and personally designed this establishment to give each of the Canterlot ponies a taste of the frozen north! I apologize if some of my actions are unjust, I am still getting used to normal pony life!" He then returned the message and bowed slightly.

Mint smiled at him and wrote "Hello, Im Mint Berry. Your restaurant is beautiful, I never seen something quite like this before"

Silent looked down at the note and gave a thankful nod as he was then tapped on the shoulder as the other chefs brought out her meal. Silent then gave another quick nod and retired to the kitchen preparing some sort of beverage to go along with the meal. A crystal berry wine of the finest berries should do the trick! It was such a lovely day and Silent was feeling generous so he quickly brought out one of the wines that had fermented and was quickly replacing it with another, sweeter wine creation of his own!
