Chronicle Of The Lost: Ponyville

Dreamscape teared up as she stumbled through the empty streets "I-Is anyone h-here? P-Please!!! There....there has to be someone..."

She collapsed in the middle of the town square, curling into a small ball an wrapping her wings around herself "Is...is anyone left at all?"

Dreamscape slowly got up, her hooves wobbily from lack of energy, and semi-starvation. She weakly stumbled into Sugarcube Corner, desperately searching for anything to eat.

"P-p-please...a-anyone? H-Help me..."

Pale yellow ears caught a voice, faint and distant. Mane tangled, saddlebags filthy, Green Cream perked from the safety of her former restaurant. Someone was here - someone who needed her. She stood, stumbling out of the building. "Hey!" she called out; her voice was hoarse with disuse. She'd mumbled to herself a lot at the beginning, but eventually she'd just stopped talking at all. "Whoever... whoever that is... I'm coming for you! I have food and stuff!" She trotted briskly toward Sugarcube Corner, where she thought the voice had come from.

As Dreamscape stumbled towards the the door her eyes went wide as her legs gave out, and she fell into a table. She tried to get up, but didn't have the strength, as she watched the door hopefully she began thinking out loud "P-Please be real...please..." after waiting a few seconds, she quietly whispered "A-And a mare..."

(Oh my god, someone else is alive!)

"Uh. Hey!" She doubted it was needed, but Cream called out anyway. It'd become something of a coping mechanism, a way to deal with the loneliness. Peering into the building, she gasped at the dark blue mare within, collapsed into a table. She dug into her saddlebags and pulled out some food - sliced and boiled sweet potatoes, wrapped inside a thin layer of paper. She'd never have let herself serve anyone something so simple a couple years ago, but she made do with what she had. "You're hungry, right? Eat this."

((Only as of, like, two days ago, haha.))

"Is...is'at a potato?...and some saddle bags? HA! I really am going crazy! Which means, you're an illusion, and I can say anything I want." She turned to face the 'illusionary' mare before her "Wow, my imagination sure knows how to make a good looking mare...wait..." Dreamscapes eyes went wide, and she curled into a little ball "U-Unless you're real...th-then I'm n-not a fillyfooler! P-Please don't b-beat me!" she cried out, shaking in terror

Green paused, unsure how to react. She'd rarely ever ben called attractive before, not to mention the mare's rather intense behaviour. "I'm pretty sure I'm real. Not gonna beat you up, though." She smiled reassuringly, setting the food down beside her, just within reach, and stroking Dreamscape's back. "That would kinda make me a hypocrite... My name's Green Cream; nice to meet you."

"Wait...for reals? You don't hate me because I'm a fillyfooler...?" Dreamscape looked up, confused "But...ah %&@$ it!" she yelled as she wiggled over to the food, and began eating it as fast as she could

Cream chuckled merrily as the mare gobbled up the food. She would have asked how it was, but it was literally a boiled vegetable; she'd have to actually make real dishes for that to be a question. "You need anything else? And what's your name, if you don't mind my asking?"

"Uhhh, you into EDM and club music?" Dreamscape asked, eating another potato slice "Also, these are the best thing ever...of all time." She thought for a moment before giggle to herself "Hmm, there might be ONE more thing I need..."

"I dunno what EDM is. I've gone to clubs once or twice, though, and I really like their music." She hummed to herself, reminded of an old tune she'd heard once. "What do ya need? I collected a bunch of useless stuff back in the day, so if you're strong enough to walk home, we can probably find anything. Except maybe the real specialised or expensive stuff."

"I uh, used to be real big in club scene. Name's Dreamscape. And I need it from You." She smiled a little as she staggered to her feet and sat down in front of Cream, seemingly lost in her eyes

"Hm? What is it?" She quirked an eyebrow, curiosity aroused. Cream smiled, sitting opposite Dreamscape. It was a nice name, she thought - it rolled off the tongue, and fit her midnight coat.

'I uh," she smiled mischievously "I need you to close your eyes." Dreamscape said, ruffling her wings a bit and thinking to herself 'Man, I need to preen these things...'

"Uh. Alright, I guess." She eyed Dreamscape suspiciously, but it was hard to imagine this mare even thinking about hurting someone. Green closed her eyes gently, pricking her ears to compensate. Old habits died hard; she hated being blind to what was going on around her.

Dreamscape quickly darted forward, lightly pressing her lips agains Cream's before pulling back, and darting out the door "Catch me if ya can!"

Cream's eyes flew open with surprise when she felt Dreamscape's lips press against her own, and she blushed bright red underneath her coat. She should have seen that coming, but. Uh. She had no excuse, really. She shook off her shock and dashed after Dreamscape, laughing. "Hey, slow down over there! Not everyone can run that fast on a diet of tapiocas!"

Dreamscape skidded to a halt, tilting her head in confusion "Ta-whats?" She the realized she had stopped, and began to run again, but slower this time

"Uh, tapioca. Technically, cassava. It's, uh, a root. That you eat." She shrugged to herself, darting forward to tap Dreamscape on the shoulder. The brief pause had given her somewhat of a boost. "Caught you!"

Dreamscape turned around and sat down, looking down "I...I'm sorry that I kissed you...." Her ears splayed back and she bit her lip

"It's, uh, fine." Cream blushed again, reminded of the kiss. "Just... Don't do it again, alright? I'm cool and all with fillyfoolers, and you're nice, but we met like five minutes ago."

"Yeah...but can you blame me? You're the first pony I've seen in months, AND you gave me a potato!" She exclimed making over exaguratd gestures with her hooves, and flairing her poorly kept wings

"Yeah, that makes sense." Her blush faded as she looked around at the empty streets, thinking of her restaurant. "If you thought that was good, though, you should've seen me with a full cabinet of supplies."

"What kinda supplies?" She asked bring on of her wings around, and cafefully preening it. "Like, spices and stuff?" she mumbled through a mouthful of feathers before sitting them out

"Yeah. Ran out of food a bit ago, and I couldn't find a way to order more. Not surprising, considering..." She gestured widely around her. "I found a garden with a bunch of veggies and stuff, though, and whoever owned it probably wouldn't miss it. I've been using that for food for a while."
