| In the woods, while some ponies nearby play and have fun, a lone pegasus lies under a tree. She is alone and seems depressed about something. All the other ponies ignore the pegasus and do not know or go near her, as she lies in the shade of the tree and stays silent to all who come near. She does not talk and nobody talks to her, and she begins to cry | |

| "Lazy muscle takes a pony to their doom..." That was Special Delivery's motto and therefore he was out and about in Whitetail Woods, running along the paths. "Never fear to work out, never turn your back to it." he muttered under his breath as he sped up to get uphill.
Grunting while trotting upwards, he finally reached the top of the hill and stopped to get a breather, in the shade of some trees - except that the shade was already occupied. Nimbly Special Delivery jumped over a huddled pony, then stopping and taking a better look.
"Of course you realize, that laying around like that never gets you anywhere? No good to stay and be lazy."

| *I stare for a brief moment and say something in a hushed tone, too quiet to hear, and stare at the tree and cry* | |

| Special Delivery stood there and stared at the Pegasus, unsure what to do. Crying ponies, whether a foal, teenager, adult or elder made him feel uneasy. "Now now, there..." he said, "Did your pet got into a stampede or something?"
He eyed around, looking for an easy way to escape the situation, deciding, if the situation would not turn any more comfortable, he should be going back to the place he was staying over. "Um, if you're feeling blue, some exercise helps to that too." Special Delivery then said awkwardly.

| Special Delivery tilted his head a little. "Sorry, can't help with that." he said, thinking, We all have our own demons to deal with. He stood still, but was still eager to leave and continue his run, but he was not sure what to do with the Pegasus. He had usually met sporty ponies, but this one did not seem to want to be like that. This was emotional kind, at least what Delivery had noticed. | |

| "Um," Special Delivery said, concerned, "Is there anything wrong? Anything I can do to help?"
He was unsure of this pegasus, too much of an emotional type for his tastes. Where he came from, ponies did not have time to lay around and cry.

| "Its....nothing........" *I clean off my hooves and wipe my eyes* "I am just a little hungry is all" *I pull a sandwich from my saddle-bag and start to eat it. After swallowing, I continue to talk* "You are the first person who seems to care" | |

| "Well, there could've been something I'd manage to do, if the case had been a broken leg or something." Special Delivery said, burning, yearning to continue on his merry way. Staying still was not his way of behaviour at all. "If nothing is wrong here - I mean, anything I can help with - I'd like to continue my run now." | |

| "Nothing that can be changed, not anymore" the pegasus says "I know you want to help, which is a kind concept, but I have nothing wrong in the present other than a lack of things to do. That is why I talk to my friend here" she points to the tree. "If you are truly that busy, go on, I will not hold you back because of me. If you are not really that busy, then stay and we can talk. I need a companion other than this tree anyways." | |

| The stallion shuffled his hooves a little, as he was more of a doer and talker. "I hear there is a professional listener in Ponyville." he said, trying to get a point across. He really was not a pony to listen to the troubles of a stranger. "I am not really good with talking and listening, because I'm a stallion." Cheap card, and propably generalizing as anything, but that was how things were at least in Special Delivery's family. Females talk - males work.
"I really need to get going." he then said, getting ready to continue, "But listen to my advice, exercise helps, too." Then he started to walk away from the hilltop and the group of trees, eventually speeding to trotting and then galloping.
[Moving my character out of this thread, because he does not really fit in the current setting and I need him elsewhere sooner or later.]
