Quillstroke's New Home

(( as much as I love grimdark... Quillstroke departed from Trottingham. And as far as I've seen maps of Equestria, Ponyville would be closer to Trottingham than Manehattan. So based on that, Quill would settle in Ponyville. Help the noob out xD I'm experienced in rp, but not in MLP rp ))

After travelling for long, the white and black unicorn stallion had arrived to Ponyville. He finally found a decent and colourful town, which was so different from Trottingham that he actually enjoyed the sight. His colourless image did not fit too well in to the town, but he didn't care much for that detail. He walked away from the train station looking around.

"Now, if there would just be a house for sale nearby..." he thought.

He thought of asking someone for aid, but hesitated, since he wasn't the most social kind of pony. So he just decided to look around, secretly hoping that a helpful someone would see his problem and come to him.

"Perhaps I am a bit of a coward..." he thought and grinned.

gemini was walking past, when he saw a unicorn looking around. shrugging to himself, he decided to see if the unicorn needed any help. he approached the unicorn slowly."uh...h-hey. are you lost or something?" he asked, kinda nervous.

Quillstroke looked at the pegasus.
"Well, I only just came into town, and this looks like a place I could settle in. Are there any households for sale by any chance?" he asked the pegasus, peering around some more.

"hmm. what coincidence. i was going there myself. just to look though, i don't got the bits for a house yet." gemini says, then starts to point in the direction he was going in." its this way, if you wanna come with me."

Quillstroke smiles a bit, his eyes remaining as dull as before though.

"Why not." he says adjusting his satchel hanging by his shoulders and trots to the same direction.

"The name is Quillstroke. I'm an artist." he says bowing his head humbly.

gemini nods when the unicorn introduced himself." im gemini. i work for violet at her veterinary office." he bows too, remembering the manners he was taught.

" so, you're from out of town too. where are you from?" gemini asks, his curiosity getting the better of him.

"I just recently left my childhood home of Trottingham." Quillstroke replies. "It's not bad, but I had a harsh and poor life among my family. Also, it's so... dead... at least compared to Ponyville. It's like two colours became twenty. And there's so much smiling here. It's rather fascinating..."

"huh. i know what thats like. i left my family dishonourably. for fighting with my older brother who was picking on my twin sister, so i know what its like to have a bad past." gemini looks a bit distracted."s-so. lets change the subject, what brought you to ponyville? why not canterlot?"

"I can't picture myself among the snobs and nobles there." Quillstroke replied. "I'm just a simple pony from Trottingham slums, who happened to gain wealth with his art. I'm nopony special."

Quillstroke looks around him as the area changes. "I suppose we're getting close?"

"yeah. its around here somewhere. the last time i was here, i was just walking through on my way to the town square." gemini says, looking around."granted, last time i was here, i wondered what i was going to do with my life. now im just saving up for a house while living homeless."

Cyan walked over to them with a smile. "A new pony!" She happily cheered. "How pleasant!"

"Hi! I'm Cyan!" She greeted. "Nice to meet you." She grinned at Gemini. "I already know you..." She stated. "We meet again!"

Quillstroke looked at Cyan, raising an eyebrow. It had been years since anyone had greeted her that warmly and happily. He didn't mind it though, it was answered with a pleased smile.

"Nice to meet you, Cyan. I'm Quillstroke. I'm off to find a house so I can settle in Ponyville."

"and im off to see what the cheapest house is so i can stop sleeping on a cloud." gemini says under his breath." i guess i should be more strict with my bits. how are you cyan?" gemini asked, thinking of what he spent hi current amount of bits on.

"So you're staying!?" Cyan smiled and hopped up and down, the slinky parts bouncing along. "YAY! Quillstroke, was it? I'm so happy to meet you!" She admitted. "I'm always open to new ponies!" She walked with them. "So Gemini? What have you been up to?" She asked.

Cyan pulled out her little bag and rummaged through it.

Quillstroke smiled some more. A pony this energic was refreshing to meet after Trottingham.
"Nice to hear, Cyan."

He took a look at Gemini, feeling slightly sorry for him, as he also knew what it was like to have so little. Be it ones own fault or not...

"oh, the usual. blowing my bits on stuff when im homeless." gemini says dejectedly. "so, wanna tag along with us cyan?" gemini turns to quillstroke." so long as you don't mind, of course." gemini says, hoping he doesn't mind him asking.

Cyan smiled. "It's not that bad, Gemini!" She laughed. "I break everything... Accidently..." She admitted. "You don't have a broken wing, right? I have a broken horn. So, it's all go-" She stopped herself. "Nevermind, no it's not." She admitted.

She smiled to Quillstroke. "So, can I come? I'll be good!"

"Sure, I don't mind." he said, still giving that gentle smile. He looked around as he seemed to see some households for sale ahead.

"well, see any you like?" gemini asks quill. then turning to cyan." as for a broken wing, at least that would heal. and i don't think you break everything accidently. if so, how are those slinky things still on your hooves?"

Cyan laughed. "Well, you're half right. I do break some stuff on purpose..." She admitted. "The slinky was an accident though." She told him.

Cyan ran over to Quill. "I think that one looks good! And that one! OOOHH That one's fancy. But, that one's all tough. Or that one!" She started ranting at every house she saw.

Quillstroke chuckled looking at Cyan.

"Now, they all look nice. But what I seek most is something that's really apart from the mass, in both architecture and colour..." he said looking around. He looked around until he saw a very unique looking household, which was quite as yellow as many of the other houses in Ponyville.

"That looks great, and I can paint it to a new color when I like..."

"well, sometimes when you break something, you make something new. not all things start out new, but come from something else." gemini says, looking at the houses cyan points out.

when quill points out the house he's looking at, gemini speaks up. "true. how much does it cost?" gemini asks, looking at the house curiously.

Cyan smiled at Quill's talk about painting. "What color? Pink, Blue, brown, black, whiteyellowgrayrubysaphire? OR CYAN!" She screamed happily.

She nodded to Gemini after her show. "I'm trying to create stuff out of the broken stuff in my house..." She admitted.

"I've got a lot from my business from Trottingham, the price won't be a problem." Quill said with a gentle smile. He turned to look at Cyan.

"Sorry, but I won't paint it Cyan. I was thinking of dark red. It's my favourite colour."

"hmm. well, at least you arrived with money. so, you create stuff from broken things, cyan? what type of things?" he asks, then turning his attention to the house quickly." it would take a while to paint that without help, wouldn't it?"
