Cloud TwisterGender: Male
Species: Pegasus
Description: Cloud twister's
fur is a bright red orange. It stays quite short, even during winter. His
Mane consists of dreads, separating his hair into two colors, maroon and reddish brown. He keeps it tied back so it doesn't get in his eyes. Otherwise he might crash even more than he already does. His
tail is the same.
Twister's legs are a bit longer than most making him a little tall, but a much more defining characteristic of him is his wings. They're quite a bit larger than those that most pegasi have(their size more appropriate for a gryphon). His feathers almost always look a bit scruffy, not to mention bent out of place, windswept and sometimes even covered in who knows what.
He also has bright yellow
eyes usually filled with a defiant spark of spirit. Though you will definitely always see a glimmer of curiosity as they dart about new places and rooms. Making him seem quite observant, which he can be, sometimes, a bit. When his hair isn't tied back he has to flip it out of his eye's or risk crashing, the latter of which explains the state of his wings. When flying he tends to leave just a large gust of wind instead of a trail, though when he really pushes it he leaves wispy contrails.
It's not uncommon for him to spend large amounts of time flying through everfree forest, so he usually has a leaf or to in his mane, tail or feathers. He also tends to fly, a lot, everywhere, even in buildings if there's room or unless he's asked to stop. Of course, if he's not in the forest or with someone he's probably on a cloud or at home.
Cutie Mark: A gray/black tornado with a cloud above it.Age:Late teens
Personality:Cloud Twister is a very adventurous and curious pony, never turning down a challenge or even an implied challenge. Though he usually can be found gliding around lazily, he loves to play racing games and be chased. He tends to be laid back and even a bit shy around strangers. But when around those he knows well he can be quite outgoing and loud. He loves to be funny and make people laugh, though his jokes are usually hit and miss. He also hates being placed in places of leadership or responsibility. Being quite rebellious.
He can be very indecisive when asked to decide on something that affects others. Especially his friends. That said, when it only affects himself he takes large risks frequently. No matter if what he is doing is important or not. Despite his aptitude for laziness he will go out of his way for thrills and fun. He also will go out of his way not to cause inconvenience to any-pony. He also doesn't like sharing his feelings or thoughts. However important they may be. But when he really tries to think into things he can come up with great ideas, of course, he only tries when something really interests him.
Twister doesn't scare easy, not chimera, dragon, hydra nor cockatrice will make this pony shake in his boots, take to the skies, flatten his ears or abandon his friends. Except for a Roc that is, not that he's seen one since his first encounter. He is nearly always flying, whether hanging out or talking, inside or outside, rain or shine, he loves being in the air. While he doesn't go around starting fights if someone actually wants a physical fight or attacks him he won't hesitate to open a can of wing fu on them. He is skilled at sky fighting. He made a point to learn after he started doing his long distance deliveries(after being ambushed on one trip).
Finally, he is easily distracted. One might even say he has A.D.H.D. unfortunately this affects him whenever he is having fun, usually in the form of stunts and making small vortexes, when he loses his focus he tends to lose his stability and crash. This happens rather often so he has a tendency to downplay any injuries, especially if he still is excited, then he might not even realize he's hurt or he may just not want to cause a scene.
Likes: Storms, Flying, Races, Hot days(for the thermals), Arial Tricks and maneuvers.
Dislikes:cold, being grounded(literally), his wings being touched.
History: Cloud Twister was born to a couple of pegasi in Cloudsdale and even as a little filly he seemed to always be in the sky, well, air. He and the ceiling of his house tended to have disagreements about how high the ceiling should be and he ended up breaking quite a few bedroom windows when he was young. But what sort of little pegasus doesn't? Besides, with how disproportional his wings were he couldn't fly inside without catching the walls and furniture which near always led to an instant nosedive( and broken bones a few times). However once he got to the age where he could fly for more than a few minutes he was quite graceful when outside. He even, eventually, learned how to keep his wings tucked close to avoid hitting things when flying inside.
He absolutely hated school, the teacher's made him actually sit still(nightmarish right?), while he loved flight school, though at first he found hairpin turns difficult he eventually figured it out and and was able to speed through races courses. He passed with relative ease though he still didn't have his cutie mark. He didn't mind personally, though everyone else seemed to. Which frustrated him but he kept is cool and went about his business. Until some-pony pushed him off Cloudsdale on an especially windy day. Twister was forced to land as every time he tried to climb back up to the town a breeze would blow him off course.
Once on the ground he started exploring of course. But as the winds got stronger and the sky got darker he grew concerned. Then it began to rain, he was stuck under a stupid tree as the stupid rain pounded down...stupidly. He eventually found a tree with a large hollow in it and took refuge, eventually falling asleep. Not knowing that a pony should be more careful when sleeping in the feared everfree forest. He woke up to howling winds, thunder and a heck of a lot of rain he walked out and stretched his wings. Thinking he would at least try to go home.
He was surprised to see a large Roc, hovering above the trees. Having heard of these birds in school (they were quite a nuisance when they showed their heads, making weather teams run around to avoid them) he knew that when they were angry they were quite dangerous, so he did what any sensible pony would do, he ran, er...flew away. The bird followed him, catching up at an alarming rate. He flew as fast as he could, faster than he ever had before. But as the bird attacked he was pushed down into the Forest. And just as everything seemed hopeless he took a sharp turn to avoid the gaping jaws of the creature, too tight in fact he spun around, and around and around making a small vortex and in the confusion he launched himself up through the clouds and right back up to Cloudsdale, he quickly flew home, exhausted. He didn't even notice he had gained his cutie mark until the next day.
Now, even though he had his cutie mark, Twister wasn't sure of what he wanted to be. Thanks to his rebellious nature he decided to defy destiny and try something unrelated to his cutie mark before becoming a weather pony. He would first become a Mail Pony!! Now despite the incredible
lackamount of effort and logic put into this attempt. It didn't work out well at all, but it did help him refine his twister making skills. to move large boxes. He eventually went back to being a weather pony.
Example RP segment option 5: Twister flew above the city of Manehattan. It was more active than he was used to. Well, on the ground at least, in the air it was about the same as good ol' Cloudsdale. Why walk when you can fly after all. Doing otherwise was just wasted time, unless you were traveling with earthbound ponies. Though sometimes even that could be annoying. He had that 'need for speed' feeling many pegasi had. and found it troubling to travel slowly at times.
But even he had to land, not every building was had landing spots and the package he was delivering was to some old school earth pony, it needed to be delivered straight to his hooves. As twister got to the house it was painfully obvious that this pony wasn't home. The entire house was dark and had its curtains closed, he knocked and wasn't surprised when after many minutes of waiting he was only met with silence. As much silence as you could get in this city at least.
He sat there for several minutes, twitching, looking up into the sky and watching the pegasi fly about. Why couldn't this pony hurry up? He stood up, ready to go looking for him but was quickly distracted by what appeared to be a scuffle. Several ponies were surrounding another, no, a filly. It wasn't really his problem and as far as he knew that filly had done something horribly mean to the others. But that didn't seem likely. He quickly put down his package and glided over to the group, landing in the middle without warning. Spreading his wings to block the filly from their sight he reared up.
"Seems a bit like a one sided thing going on here, mind if I join in"He smiled, his eyes narrowed, challenging them to make a move. They separated and from the skies came a large griffon, his own age. He straighted up and motioned for the filly to run, which he did thankfully. The rest of the ponies stayed, to interested in what was about to happen. Twister smiled and took to the air with the Griffon. He quickly dropped below the griffon and grabbed his tail, quickly beating his wings to gain speed he dragged the lion bird thing before letting go on a tight corner, letting the griffon soar into a wall.
"Ha, thought you guys were supposed to be warriors." he said his wings beating triumphantly.
