gemini looks at thunder curiously." how can you be homeless and unemployed, yet you're drinking here in a tavern? isn't that a tad bit...irresponsible? i guess i can't really speak much myself, but i'm sure there are better ways to spend your bits. i assume you're renting a room at the inn or something while you're here?"

Thunder shook his head. "I don't have enough bits for a room. The drinks I'm having are a thank you from some pony in town for helping them in their garden." He said, "And I'm not one to turn away gifts." He said.

"then...where are you staying? and how long are you staying anyway?" gemini wonders at what could have happened to the pony to make him like this, then notices the bandanna he has." also...mind if i ask about that bandanna? if you don't mind, of course."

"I sleep on a mat out under the stars." Said Thunder. "Its like camping. I use my flying skills to make sure I am not rained on." He said. Thunder then sighed when Gemini asked him about his bandana. "It is a bandana for the Cloudsdale Cumulus, the Air Hockey team." He answered, not wanting to go into detail about how he got it.

"you sleep on a mat? i can understand that, i guess. and the cloudsdale hockey team? are you from there originally?" gemini felt a pang of symphony for the stallion, even if he was somewhat suspicious." and how long did you say you were in town for?"

"Nope, not from Cloudsdale." Answered Thunderclap, "In fact, I have only been once. This was given to me as a gift." He answered. "And I didn't say how long I was in town." He replied. "And why are you asking so many questions?"

"sorry, i'm curious by nature." gemini apologizes, then looks around a bit." i'll stop asking questions if you want to. so......i have nothing to talk about, i guess. anything you want to talk about or ask me?" he finishes his third drink, hiccuping slightly as he starts on his fourth.

"I'm jus not an interesting pony." Thunderclap said. "Except for my past, which I do not want to talk about. Too sad." Thunder said. "In fact I was thinking of going away. Do you know of any nice towns or cities?"

gemini thinks for a second." well...there's canterlot or cloudsdale. but canterlot is full of the richer, more annoying ponies from what i hear, and cloudsdales pegasi tends to be more hot headed and rude. besides them, i wouldn't really know."

"Hmmm ya, well I don't think the high class of Canterlot would accept people like me." He said. 'They are far to rich and fancy." Said Thunder, trying to do his best snobby pony impression. "Eh, rubbish if you ask me. All ponies are equal."

gemini laughs a small bit."yeah, tell me about it. i hate all the posh-ness and manners you have to do constantly. it's why i was glad when...never mind." he looks away a bit, immediately hating himself for saying so much and hoping thunder wouldn't ask about it.

Thunder kept going. "Ya, back in my old home, we never had time for manners. It was all work work work. We respected each other and treated each other nicely, don't get me wrong, but no time for useless social manners." He said, ignoring Gemini's statement.

"I wish my old home was like that. so, got any siblings? i had a few growing up, but i was never close to my siblings....well, most of them i should say.*gemini starts to look a bit distracted, then looks back at thunder." well, enough drinks for me i guess. had a bit too much tonight."

"No, no siblings. Had a friend I was very close with, we were practically siblings. Her name was Shadow Star. She was the only other pegasus my age in my village. We were close." He said, then waving at the bartender to bring him some food. "Ya, don't drink too much. Drinking and flying is not a good thing." He said, laughing a bit.

"yeah yeah, i know. and that's good to hear. only had one pony i was really close to. anyway, what type of village did you live at if only two pegasi were the same age?" gemini asks, more for the reason of changing the topic as opposed to curiosity for once.

Thunderclap answered, "It was a farming community. Therefore the majority of the population was Earth Ponies. Every once in a while somepony like me was born. I was good help on the farm, manipulating rain and what not."

"understandable. i assume that when you needed the extra help with weather, ponies came from another town to help out?" gemini asked again, curious as to how well a village could've gotten along with few pegasi.

Thunderclap snorted. "I wish. We were so small, many other towns did not even know of our existence. It was all up to us." He said. "It was tough."

gemini looks down slightly." i can imagine. so, i take it you left there because it was so small? or did you have...other reasons?" his mind immediately thinks back to the reason why he left his family, a small bit of anger rising inside of him at the thought.
