Gender: Female
Species: Earth Pony
Mane: Moderate length. Soft pink with creamy streaks. Usually tied into two loose ponytails on either side of her head.
Tail: Short and choppy. Same color as mane.
"Oh, funny story! So I was treating this baby unicorn a month or two ago who had a  cold, and since he was still really young, he was pretty vulnerable. But somehow he was born with this talent for magic specifically, it seemed like. So somehow he got ahold of some scissors from inside a drawer with his horn and while I was distracted reading some of his papers, I hear this snip right behind me and I turn and half of my tail was on the ground!" *giggle* "I was so shocked. It's beginning to grow back slowly, though."
Eyes: Soft pink.
Body: Mostly white, except for a creamy yellow on her underside, stretching from the base of her tail to the middle of her neck.
Cutie Mark: A red cross with a white heart.
Age:: Adult (mid twenties in maturity)

Personality: Mae Breeze is a confident, calm soul. Her patience is almost endless, and is a fantastic listener, but can keep up quite lively conversation if prompted to do so. She is a natural caretaker, and knows the cure for almost every common sickness. Mae has a sharp mind as well, and absorbs information quickly. She often speaks before she thinks, and often finds herself accidentally insulting somepony or turning conversations awkward. Mae cares very highly about her own appearance and the appearance of other things, thus making her a neat freak and a perfectionist. Physically, Mae is not very strong or athletic.
Mae is the exact opposite of romantic. She can be extremely awkward around the other gender, and whatever relationships she has had in the past or will have in the future did not and will not last very long. Around other mares, however, Mae easily relaxes and can develop friendships quickly.

Likes: Sesame seeds, roses, the color blue, taking care of other ponies
Dislikes: Oranges, the color green, liars, physical exercise

History: Mae Breeze was raised in Canterlot and was the first born in a wealthy, loving family. When Mae's brother, White Pebbles, was born four years after Mae, he was extremely ill and doctors diagnosed it as leukemia. He was weak, pale, and tired, and the family feared that he would die.
Pebbles' disease gradually worsened as the years passed, and Mae began to frantically research the cancer, trying to find a cure that did not yet exist. She loved her weak brother dearly, and made it her life's mission to find a cure for the disease. This is the origin of her cutie mark. Mae studied hard so she would be able to become a nurse when she was older.
When Pebbles was fourteen, he lost the battle with cancer. Mae was devastated over his death, for he was one of her best friends. She would not talk or eat for weeks, and fell into a slight depression. Eventually she recovered, but she still misses her only sibling more than anything.
Mae currently works as a nurse for the Canterlot Hospital, and cares dearly for each and every one of her patients and makes sure they're even happier than when they were feeling well.

Mae had been heading home from work with a rumbling stomach when it started to drizzle.
"Great," she muttered, raising a hoof to shelter her eyes from the ice-cold droplets as the rain steadily became heavier. The white mare galloped to the nearest building, where laughter, light, and an all-around good mood danced inside and trickled onto the streets. Well... it looked like it had a roof, and it was warm and dry in there. Mae pushed open the door gently and slipped inside. She was immediately greeted by two drunken stallions stumbling out the door, a deep, forest green earth pony and a lighter blue unicorn, one clearly more intoxicated than the other.
"Look at this, Hawk," the earth pony grinned and leaned in towards Mae's face. She noted that his breath smelled strongly of liquor. "It's a little nurse girl. She's got the uniform and everything!" His speech was interrupted with a loud hiccup. "She's kinda cute, too," he added, turning towards his friend. Mae felt her face getting hot.
"C'mon, Lighter," the unicorn said in a persuading tone, sensing Mae's nervousness. "Leave 'er alone." The earth pony laughed and stumbled past Mae into the rain, the blue stallion following close behind. Beginning to relax now that they had left, Mae made her way over to a table near the back of the tavern, accidentally bumping into a couple swaying ponies, and ordered a small meal. This'll have to do for dinner, Mae mused, becoming lost in thought.
