PARTY!!!!

"Dang this is exaughsting." said Rez finishing up the decorations. " I hope people register for the art show. That would be awsome." Allright im done now its time to party. Now time for the patiers."

Wubwubwubwubwubwubwub-

"Oh, yes. Beautiful subbass."

-I've been waiting for you! ...Sendin' my-

"Vocals sound great."

-Da, dadada da, dadada dadadada-

"Synth sounds work great too. Oh, dear Celestia, I love this sound system."

Thunder Gust stopped playing seemingly random tracks at that point, satisfied with the fine tuning that he had done on the amazing sound system that he had been given for the gig that he was currently preparing to play. He looked back and above him to glance at the somewhat overly large monitor placed on a mounting on the stage above him. It was currently repeating various cool visual effects while simultaneously advertising the different aspects of the party that was to begin shortly.

"Screen looks good. Great quality."

The Unicorn faced his equipment once again, which had been spread out over three large tables that were placed in a curved shape around him. He looked over various monitors and cable clots, and gave his turntable a few random spins and effect tests to make sure that it was still working at top condition. Oh, this is so awesome. Gust adjusted his signature shades, and then looked up to observe the area that was to hold the entire event. Various ponies were still helping set up the various stalls and places of interest around the large area, and only a handful of spectators had arrived for the actual event. Gust could see more coming in at a slowly rising rate, though. Alright, I'm ready. Let's get this show on the road. The Unicorn DJ put on a slow, calm and nice-sounding track for the sake of the ponies already there, and then relaxed as he waited for more guests to arrive.

"thanks for DJing Thunder it was very helpfull. We need to find a way to get everyone here."

Sweets walked into what seemed to the town square and stares at all the decorations and some of the ponies walking around. "Must be a party going on today...maybe I can entertain some of the foals" At that thought Sweets trots around offering her help to some of the ponies, her shyness forgotten for a while. She decides to take a tray of drinks up to a pony on the stage being careful of lose stones on the way.

"You sure this rig of yours will work Steam?"

"Don't worry about it, kiddo. You know Steam can make only the best when it comes to contraptions."

"All good and all, but remind me again why I got roped into this? This stuff is usually just your thing, Dare."

"You said you could do anything Dare could do, remember?"

"And I regret every time I do..."

"What, are you gonna chicken out? So much for the 'defender of the night.'"

"... Fine, suit up. I'll show you what I can do."

"That's the spirit!"

The quartet made up of a unicorn and three pegasi were standing on a high wooden platform behind the building where the art show was held. The unicorn was Steam Heart, in charge of the rigs the three pegasi were wearing on their backs. The rigs were called "Trail Makers" and as the names suggested, they created trails as the pegasi were flying. The first of the three pegasi was Dare Devil, the one wearing protective glasses and can be easily identified by the metal brace he had on his wing. The second pegasi was Lightning Breaker, wearing a blue scarf and the younger brother of the previous pony. The third one was Midnight Spirit, who always wore shades even during the night.

As they finished getting ready, the pegasi trio got into position for their grand entry. "Good luck you three, I'll be watching from the ground to get the best angle for the pictures." Steam said before climbing down the platform.

The three waved as the mare went down. "Well it's now or never. Just hope the pyrotechnics doesn't blow up in our faces." Midnight said, rubbing his neck.

Dare grinned as he replied. "Getting scared? It's okay, Lightning and I can do it ourselves."

"Ohhhh-ho, no you're not. I'll show you that these fancy stunts are as easy as one, two, three."

The music started playing and they knew the show was about to begin. Now they only needed to wait for the Fireworks to go off. This was going to be their biggest show yet and there was no room for error, especially since they'll be working close to the explosives. "Alright colts. Just remember our practice and we'll leave the crowd gasping for more."

"Thanks for DJing Thunder, it was very helpful. We need to find a way to get everyone here."

"Of course! I love DJing, don't see why I wouldn't come on over. And I don't think the crowd is a problem. Looks like more and more ponies are showing up. 'Course a way to get 'em here quicker would be nice, but I think that soon enough I'll be able to start the show."

The DJ noticed a mare coming up to the stage with a tray of drinks, and, as she approached, he realized that he knew the mare. Well, look who's here.

Gust waved a bit as Sweets neared him and Rez. "Hey there, Sweets! Nice to see you came!" The Unicorn looked down at the tray she had brought. There seemed to be a variety of drinks there, though the stallion strayed away from the few alcoholic beverages that had been delivered and simply grabbed a glass of water and a can of Red Buck, placing them on the table surface right next to his main turntable. While he was near his main control hub, Thunder Gust also switched the currently playing track to a slightly more 'dynamic' one, upping the volume slightly after doing so and turning back to Sweets once he finished.

"You helpin' out?"

Sweets grinned as she got closer to the ponies and saw that she knew both of them "Hey Gust I should have known you would be here and Rez it’s good to see you to!" She smiled widely and nodded at Gust "yea I thought maybe I could entertain some of the foals around here if the whole town comes" She smiled even wider

"go ahead sweet that would be very helpfull on getting this party going." said Rez smiling

"alright i think its time we start the art show shall we." said Rez looking at the stage.

Pencil Point watched as numerous ponies began to enter the Town Square. Levitating a piece of paper from her saddlebag, she inspected it. It was a poster for an apparent party at the town square. But no, the filly was not here for that. She was here for the Art Show. She brought the poster back into her saddlebag, trotting past the many ponies.

'Seems like I came just in time...' She thought, seeing ponies still setting up a few decorations and finishing the final preparations. It seemed to be an informal party, but not yet to the point of full-on rowdy. The filly hoped it would stay this way until she was done with her visit.

Pencil continued wandering around, observing the ponies and stalls being put up. It was all very nice, but where could she sign up for the Art Show? The filly's ears flattened, feeling a mix of hopelessness and embarrassment. 'I can't believe I can't even find the registry... Why did I even come here? My works probably won't be up to par...'

"Yeah, I thought maybe I could entertain some of the foals around here if the whole town comes."

"Go ahead Sweet, that would be very helpful in getting this party going."

"Eeyup! Great idea. Good luck with that in any case."

"Alright, I think it's time we start the art show. Shall we?"

"Mmmmmmhm. You should probably go do that while I hold the fort up here. Probably soon after that begins it'd be a good time for me to get some real music goin'."

Gust picked up his can of Red Buck and opened it, drinking about a quarter of it before setting it down next to his main turntable once again. Looking over the crowd now gathering in the town square, he saw that people were starting to entertain themselves with various miscellaneous activities as they waited for the real show(s) to begin.

"Welp, you both best be goin'. Ponies are coming and the set-up phase is just about over. Go on and do your things."

Gust somewhat over-exaggerated stretching a bit, and then walked up to his 'control hub,' as he called it. He performed a few simple techniques at a low volume to warm himself up as the other ponies heading the party did their thing, switching between still slow tracks, doing a few scratches here and there, so on.

Sweets wished Gust luck before walking down the stairs off the stage "Well it seems like I have a few foals to entertain!" She made her way over to a small group of foals and grins at them "Well hey there my little pony friends how would you like to hear a story?" As she asked this her horn started to glow and two slightly transparent ponies appear by her sides and bow to the foals with smiles on their faces. "So how about an adventure story hm?"

((Was kinda waiting for some sort of queue like the music changes to something appropriate, or fireworks go off because of Firework. If she doesn't join I'll just make the fireworks))

Midnight scratched the platform out of boredom. The show hasn't started yet which was good since they had the time to review the stunt, but the extended wait time made him nervous. This was his first stunt ever. Sure he had his share of aerial acrobatics during his time playing the vigilante in Manehattan, but he never did those kind of things in front of a crowd. Knowing that they were going to lift-off at the same time as the fireworks are lighted, it only added to his worry. But there was no turning back for him now.

The three flyers broke the huddle and went to their own corner for peace and quiet, or at least two of them were. Dare Devil couldn't get any more excited and that was understandable considering it was his calling. "Show's starting in five minutes guys! Good luck!" Steam called from below, levitating a camera in front of her. Definitely no turning back now...

((Likewise. I was essentially waiting for more things to happen, or more people to post, but meh.))

Gust looked over the crowd that had gathered in front of the giant stage. Small handfuls of ponies were still arriving, but, for the most part, nearly all of the people that had planned on attending the event had appeared. Alright. Air show for x minutes, and then it's my turn to shine.

The Unicorn took another swig of his Red Buck before placing it next to his main controller once again. He cracked his neck and then switched the current track to a new one, one of the handful of songs that he had chosen to accompany the air show that was to start soon. The track started out at a slow, steady beat, but then quickly progressed to a very dramatic build-up, leading up to a climax that was to occur in a minute or two, and which was to signal the start of the air show.
