Finally, I got away

Thunderclap walked down the main street of Canterlot, the large crowd of ponies hustling and bustling all around him. He had managed to get the day off from his grandfather's lectures, and from boring meetings with the Canterlot upper class. He was still well groomed and his mane nice and in place, his grandfather would not let him go out looking how he always did. He also refused to wear anything that gave away his family heritage, to avoid any discussions about work.

Thunderclap ducked to the side of the street and into a small cafe. He ordered a mug of coffee, payed the very nice, and not to mention very pretty, pony and stood at the street corner, sipping his coffee and watching ponies go by.

"First day in Canterlot. Gotta say, nice town. And some well paying ponies." Red was talking to himself as he walked through the streets, admiring the sights and carrying his sack of corn. Nice money, nice ponies, nice stores. Too bad he doesn't have one of his own. He will one day though.

Red walked past a cafe and saw the pony sipping coffee. Maybe some corn would go nice with it. He walked up to the pony, put down the sack, and started some friendly conversation with him. ""Hello sir. Wanna buy some fresh, delicious corn? Only 15 bits." Normally he charges ten, but this is a rich town.

"Third time today ive ha to come here to get my tools fixed." said Rez walking to the shop down main street with his tools in the sack to his left and money in the right. " Not far now" Rez said looking around waving towards ponys. " At least the weather is great." he said looking at the sky

Thunder looked over at the red pony "Corn, eh? Sounds nice, and at only ten bits!" He said, grabbing some bits out of his bag and handing it to the pony. "Quite a nice day don't you think?" Asked Thunderclap, looking up at the bright sun and blue sky. "I'm quite glad I got out today." He said.

Huh, that was a little shocking. Didn't expect a nice greet like that. But, he accepted it nonetheless. He took the bits and gave the stallion a couple ears. "It really is a nice day sir. Great for meeting new ponies like you. So, what's your name?" Having friends is always nice
