The Usual... again.

Iris lands gently on the ground and goes on foots towards town. She sees a light blue pegasus that Iris had never seen before lying on a bench reading a book.
"Hey there, you new here?" Iris asked curiously.

"Not brand new. Newer than you. I moved in like a year ago." Iris replied, finding it strange that she had never seen this pony before. "Sorry, did I interrupt your reading?"

Iris smile tentatively. At least some pony was being nice to her. "I was just curious, I'd never seen you before. Of course, I don't know everypony, but still. I just saw you lying here reading, and thought I'd come say hi." Iris said nervously, her smile faltering. She wasn't sure if she wanted another friend, after her "friend" turned on her and started bullying her for no reason.

"Nice to meet you Mist, I'm Iris." She said politely, hoping it was okay she called her Mist. "I just, for some reason my "friend" has suddenly become obsessed with "popularity." And I just, don't fit the bill. So now he's being a complete jerk to me all the time. And my two best mare friends sat by and watched, they didn't do anything." Iris squeaked out, trying to hold back tears.

"I know!" Iris replied. "But he's also really confusing too! Yesterday, he was being mean, and then earlier today, he's all 'Oh my goodness! Iris I love you!.' You know, like, he's saying we're best friends. He seriously needs to make up his mind. I'm just so confused." Iris added angrily.

Iris was surprised when Mist called her her friend. It showed in her eyes, but they warmed up. Iris was glad she made a new friend. "Thanks." she said gratefully, the tears starting to fill her eyes again. She tried to wipe them away, but once they started flowing, they just wouldn't stop. She began to sob uncontrollably. Iris tried to hide her face, but her shaking shoulders gave her away. Her cheeks filled with blood, making her blush. Crying in front of other ponies (especially ones she just met) was something she did not do on a regular basis, in fact, it was very rare. The only ponies she dared to shed a single tear around were her two best mare friends, but, they weren't here. "Sorry, I don't usually cry in front of ponies" Iris managed to say through the racking sobs.

Iris was grateful when Mist put her hooves around her.
"Iris, just let it out." said Mist sweetly. Iris nodded and continued to sob, thankfully, she began to quiet down and only bet shoulders shook. She wiped the tear stains from her cheeks and blinked a few times. "Thanks," She said quietly, barely audible, "it means a lot to me that you didn't just get up and leave, even though I just met you. Sorry for breaking down like that." Iris said with a half hearted smile. "Thanks." She said again.

"Yeh, sounds fun. Thanks!" Iris replied with a smile. She flapped her wings as lifted herself off the ground. She blinked a few times to rid her face of any remaining tears. She grinned as she zoomed up high into the clouds. She zipped back down to Mist.

Mist just follows what Iris did just a bit better and faster making a cherry blossom in the sky almost losing her glasses from it. The Pegasus was beat but it didn't bother with this mare as the day goes through hanging out with a new pony and new friend too. The sun is just about to set, landing a ground with a yawn tiredly.

Iris made a face when Mist flew faster than she did. Her pride was based on her speed, she pouted and landed on the ground next to Mist. She put a smile on and said "what now?"

"Hm," Iris hummed grumpily, "I really don't care. Whatever you wanna do is fine." she stared at the ground, shifting her feet from side to side.

"Ok." Iris nodded and took the peace of paper. She glanced at the address before shoving it in her pocket.
